Very good modern museum about the history of slavery. It was opened in 2015. All information is in French and English. Audio guide automatically starts in each new room. No bags are allowed in the museum. There are lockers by the entrance they cost 1 €.

Absolutely fabulous. Informative, well presented; history of the greater Caribbean Islands through the eyes of slaves. Excellent contemporary artwork. Don't miss this museum.

Fantastic exhibition and the horrors of slavery. The temp exhibition of Antoine Nabajoth paintings was worth the entrance fee alone, loved them?

The exhibits were set out nicely and the fact that they had a translator ear piece was kool however after paying 15euro to enter and they didn't have water in the washroom so they were closed was a big problem for me

Essential on the island, the memorial act is to be done without fail. Museum that traces the history of the island and slavery. It's very interesting I highly recommend it. Very modern architecture and design for the structure, very big inside and air conditioning more than functional, it refreshes. Full tour minimum required 30 minutes.

Fascinating! Easy 25 minute walk from cruise port. Audio guides are provided with admission and really help to tell the story of slavery. We spent about 75 minutes and that was enough. They don't allow you to take knapsacks, water or cameras but provide lockers; bring a euro coin for the lockers. On Sunday, stores are all closed so bring water from the ship. At 8 euro admission for seniors, it is good value and an unusual and informative cruise stop.

A story well told. The outer skin of the building is beautiful by day and astonishing by night as it becomes an eye catching Iight show that goes on all night. A must see if you are visiting Guadalupe.
