If you are considering going to this house of horrors masquerading as a hospital, you might want to reconsider after reading this.
In December 2022, my wife and I went to the Nassau County location in Uniondale for an appointment to see one of their doctors.
At this point we had not yet seen the doctor or anyone at MSK. Before we left, we had received a couple of calls from the financial department. I only found this out later as I initially thought they were telemarketing calls, as when I attempted to call back, I was unable to get through and I discovered that the numbers were Google Phone number accounts which are often used by telemarketers and scammers.
Later, when we arrived at the hospital parking lot for the appointment, before we even had a chance to step out of the car, we were suddenly bombarded by a series of phone calls, we didn't answer the calls as we wanted to get upstairs for the appointment; I later found out that these calls had come from the financial department.
When we went in to the office to see the doctor, we were confronted by 2 people who identified themselves as being from the financial department, they began asking questions regarding payment, insurance, etc. They were literally in the doctors examination room with us, interrogating my wife and I regarding our financial status! I felt that it was the wrong time and place for this.
I asked one of them to have someone contact us from hospital administration.
We never heard back from anyone.
I then called the main hospital in Manhattan, days later, in order to speak with a hospital administrator. The receptionist was extremely rude and completely uncooperative.
The following month my wife was scheduled for a procedure requiring her to visit the main MSK hospital in Manhattan.
When we entered the main lobby, we were interrogated and verbally abused by the hospital's security thugs in an invasive security process that included everything except cavity searches.
When my wife and I left the hospital, and went to retrieve our vehicle from Memorial Sloan Kettering parking garage, we encountered a very serious situation, that was also potentially dangerous.
After making payment for the parking, the parking attendant went over to get our vehicle. When the parking attendant returned with our vehicle I noticed a very loud noise coming from the car.
I asked the attendant why my car was making that sound when it was working fine when I parked the car earlier. He refused to answer me after I asked him again.
At this point, another garage attendant came over, and he asked me "how old is your car"? Adding "your car is very old, how long do you think it can last?" I told him my car had no issues at all and was working fine when I handed the car keys to them earlier. He then became angry and began repeating "your car is old, we just parked it, nothing else". He then threatened to call the hospital's security thugs on me, which seems to be a recurring theme at MSK. The garage attendant displayed a menacing attitude towards my wife and myself and was taking an aggressive physical stance towards me in particular.
All of the above issues were reported to the hospital, including a letter written to the director of the hospital. No one at MSK responded to our awful experiences there.
This review is my opinion about this business and you might find that your experience differs from mine. With that said, I cannot recommend this business and highly recommend that patients go elsewhere for their medical treatment.
