I have not been out here in a very long time & I was amazed at how much it had changed! It's much larger & so beautiful! Had a great time with my bestie! The folks at the front desk were so friendly & nice, we ended up getting a family subscription & plan to make many more trips. Very calm & serene. We would have stayed longer because it's a all day adventure, but closed early for a concert a concert. 🥰

It is always a joy visiting the garden. The grounds are huge very well cultivated, you can tell a lot of love and work goes into the garden. Definitely recommend getting the annual pass, it's effectively paid for itself after a short period of time given how frequently I visit the place. While definitely popular (for great reasons!) w the local schools and for weddings and photo shoots, still large enough to have some privacy and peace even at peak hours. The Asian garden and the herb garden are probably my favorite sections of the whole place.

Google
This place is huge, we spent almost 3 hours walking, reading and learning about plants. Unfortunately it was a hot summer day and there are no beverages vending machines anywhere. We had to settle with fountain water. Be sure you pack plenty cold soda it will help you thru the garden. The admission ticket is only $12 for adult what a bargain. This place is good for family outing. The garden is well maintained. Their gift shop is tiny and not much selection.

The Memphis Botanic Garden is a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a few hours. The gardens are very well maintained, with a great variety of plants, flowers, and themed areas — from the Japanese Garden to the Butterfly Garden. It’s perfect for a relaxing walk, taking photos, or enjoying nature in the city. The staff are friendly, and there are plenty of spots to sit and take in the scenery. A great place for families, couples, or anyone who loves nature and tranquility!

Oh my, what can I say. The holiday lights are absolutely beautiful. You will be completely amazed. I highly recommend you go to the Botanical Garden to experience the beauty of the season.

Getting to perform at such a beautiful community space every year is such a privilege to be a part of. The lights get better every year, the happy faces of well-organized employees, and the overall atmosphere is such a magical experience.✨️ @MadMagicFlow approved 🫶🏻

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Memphis Botanical Gardens, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The gardens offer a wonderful splash area for kids, making it a perfect spot for families. On the day we visited, there were also several booths, beautiful artwork available for purchase. The shaded sitting areas throughout the gardens provide a serene environment to relax and soak in the beauty around you. The greenhouse is particularly stunning, filled with vibrant plants and flowers that truly capture the essence of the gardens. One of my favorite aspects of this venue is the welcoming policy that allows visitors to bring their own food. It creates such a romantic and charming atmosphere for a picnic date night amidst the breathtaking surroundings. Additionally, the gardens feature an events building, making it an ideal location for hosting special occasions. How fantastic is that? I left feeling inspired and rejuvenated, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend this treasure in Memphis!

Nice gardens. Well set up. Lots of art interspersed among the well placed gardens. Hannah, the horticulturist is friendly, knowledgeable and generous with her knowledge.

Yelp
Memphis Botanic Garden hosts several exhibits, conventions, and events throughout the year! The gardens are beautiful and well maintained, with two halls that can be used for weddings or other large events along with plants for sale. The most recent event was Japan Fest, and it was great. This event has arts and crafts such as origami and writing in Kanji, information on studying abroad in Japan, Japanese literature, music, several events, the opportunity to cosplay, and many artists and vendors that uniquely express their appreciation for Japanese culture and animation. Each table is different, and you'll be amazed at what you find to gift yourself or someone else. There's even a tea station where you can rest if needed. There are many food trucks to choose from with an eating area. This is one of my favorite festivals held here! It is entirely outdoors, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. The festival is only one day, so be sure to arrive early because it gets crowded and parking can be a handful. Also, most vendors accept card and CashApp, but have cash in advance for those that may not.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of going to the Memphis Japan Festival held at the Memphis Botanic Garden this past weekend. It was my first time there and it was beautiful. I can't believe I haven't been there before now. The festival was well attended. They had food, martial arts exhibitions, a bonsai competition and local vendors with some unique items to purchase. The employees handled the entrance well considering the long lines to purchase a ticket to enter. I would certainly recommend this place.

Yelp
What a beautiful venue. The food was beautifully setup. I was not able to eat anything, but the service for others was top notch.

Yelp
I used to go to botanical gardens every spring and summer wit my kids when they were younger. The gardens are still plush and luscious. But this visit was to see the Troll exhibit. N it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I had an amazing adventure. Participated in the scrambled scavenger hunt and was just in awe at the large beautiful creations. Creations out of natural wood and other recycled materials. Once we finished finding all the trolls, we went into the greenhouse ,where we saw various tropical plants n baby koi fish .. its a couple of tables on the patio beside the greenhouse for lunch or playing games.. Once back inside, there's a store with local handgoods, also live plants for sale and if walking the halls you will find art work made from a variety of mixed materials. They are for sale as well. The Memphis Botanical Garden is also know for hospitality purposes..hosting private events. I've had the privilege to attend a few wedding receptions, graduation party's, retirement dinners and even fashion shows. Centerly located not far from major streets, the expressway and several eateries. This is just a whimsical place to host or attend something special.

Yelp
Love coming to the gardens to walk and enjoy the beautiful sections. I wanted to see the newish greenhouse. It was so cool to see the different gorgeous flowers and plants. There was a very nice garden crew personnel willing to answer any of my questions. I ventured to the rose garden to see the vibrant and colorful flowers. Everything was so pretty. The weather was perfect since it was sunny and warm. I got some steps in to reach my walking goal. Before I departed, I looked at the Christmas plants and gifts displayed in the atrium. I purchased two mini poinsettias with peppermint candy like leaves. The restroom is always clean and tidy. The people at the receptionist table were nice and welcoming. I am planning to return to see the holiday lights. I always have a good time at the gardens. This is my second year to be a member of the gardens.

Yelp
Since 2015, this venue has been a breath of fresh air that gives a sense of relaxation. Memphis Botanic Garden is my GOTO place (Especially Spring and early fall) to just enjoy the outdoors and beautiful plants and landscapes found here! Enjoy the green house, with all the many wonderful plants, trees from around the world. Then there is the Japanese Garden and all the large Koi fish, that just waiting to be fed. The landscaping is truly a work of art and many photographers can be seen taking photos of future brides in their wedding attire most often. If you have young children, they will truly enjoy this place. The gardens are walkable, but trust me, you will easily get 1K steps in no time. I look forward to returning again. I have not visited in the summer, so my review has only been when the temperatures have been in the mid 80s. Nonetheless, this is a true gem for the city of Memphis and for everyone to enjoy! Highly Recommended!!!

Yelp
We were traveling through the Memphis area and noted they had a Botanical Garden. We knew we had to go. This garden was really amazing and was setup very nicely! They even had a restaurant inside the garden. After lunch we did the tram ride which was included with the admission. The tram takes you are the park and they talk about all the plants. She said this garden has been here since the 1950's. The price was VERY reasonable and definitely worth the price! The next time we come through Memphis we will definitely stop by here again. You need to definitely eat at their sit down dining room. Food was very good and very well priced!

Yelp
Gorgeous grounds. It's a must visit. They have plant sales, fun family events, activities, and much more. I love the different garden themes. The native garden, prehistoric garden, and iris gardens are probably my favorite. Lots of beautiful water features. We visit many times a year. Highly recommend.

Yelp
My mother suggested visiting the Botanic Garden to celebrate her birthday. Though not my usual preference, we had a pleasant time, and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. Free parking is available with a spacious private lot featuring one-way aisles for convenience. Some sections are blocked off for unknown reasons, but it did not pose any inconvenience. The entrance fee is $12 for adults and $10 for seniors. Various events were taking place, including food trucks, tram tours, photo shoots, vendors selling merchandise, and Cultural tables representing the Netherlands, Japan, and Poland. Shaded areas offer numerous benches. The garden's aesthetics are striking, adorned with numerous statues and picturesque spots. It is indeed a delightful place to explore.

Yelp
Was out of season so not much in way of gardens this time of year. However that being said the art sculptures and the Drumbo Trolls exhibit still made it well worth the visit . The tropical greenhouse was also very beautiful and colorful making it enjoyable.

Yolo B.

Yelp
Be prepared to walk. Lots of beautiful trees, flowers, plants, etc. There is a nice area for kids to enjoy making music with pots, climbing, and just being kids. Personally I loved the rose garden.

Yelp
Greatly enjoyed my visit. Although it was in off season there was still plenty to look at. Admission was very reasonable and plenty of parking.

Yelp
This is definitely a Memphis attraction that everyone must experience. It's a beautiful facility with beautiful grounds that will keep you captivated the entire time. They also have several spaces for cocktail events, business conferences, and more. I love also how they support local makers in the community. You can view unique art, buy crafty items from the gift shop, and fabulous hats and T-shirt's that represents Memphis! If you are in the area, you should definitely go to witness their programs, events, and host of activities they host throughout the year.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is massive! You can easily spend a few hours enjoying the grounds. I would recommend going in spring or fall, when the weather isn't so hot.

Yelp
I have 10000% been sleeping on this place. I had no idea how kid-friendly the Memphis Botanic Garden truly is and feel like I've deprived my children years of fun, worthwhile memories from here!!! If you have children and are in the Memphis area, plan a trip! The "my big back yard" is full of beautiful and creative spaces for your kids to enjoy and play at. The play areas give children the space and tools to use their imagination while playing in ways that other kid-friendly attractions in the area are lacking. We all had so much fun and I especially loved the hammock swing near the kids castle so I could sit, relax, and reflect. It was so wonderful. I'm so appreciative to the Botanic Garden management for offering a free day in the middle of such a difficult time in Memphis. It allowed my family space to breath and play and heal and it was so wonderful. Thank you!

Yelp
I've been to Memphis Botanic Garden plenty of times over the years, but my most recent visit was probably my favorite. I joined group of friends on a self-guided tour of Alice's Adventures in The Garden. The sculptures were immaculate and HUGE, each depicting various moments from the story. As it heats up in Memphis, be sure to stay hydrated. Some of the smaller children cooled off with the MemPops, conveniently for sale next to a shady area near a fountain. Tickets to the exhibit are on sale through Sept. 30, visit the website for pricing info and the latest updates. Bonus from the Botanic Garden website: "Come back for Holiday Wonders at the Garden, starting the first Friday after Thanksgiving, when these sculptures will be transformed with light creating a winter wonderland at the Garden."

Yelp
It is an amazing gem located in Memphis. The garden hosts several indoor/outdoor events throughout the year. The garden is broken up into various sections. All clearly identified via maps and signs. Beautiful in the spring when flowers bloom. A great family outing or location to just sit and be surrounded by nature. Ample parking available. They host plants sales as well.
google avatar

Don J.

Yelp
Was beautiful and the staff were so friendly helpful and kind. Place is immaculately kept up and it's a beautiful place to just "stop and smell the roses " and many many more plants
google avatar

Yelp
When your human soul needs a break from Rock & Soul, the gardens offer a peaceful escape. We were able to walk the entire garden in 3 hours but we were not able to stop and view all the things.
google avatar

Anne S.

Yelp
So lovely in the spring. So kid friendly. My almost 5 year old son loved this place. We started with the Japanese Garden, he loved the Coi pond. Then went to the prehistoric section, he loved that. He thought the dinosaur stuff was so fun. Then we had lunch at the patio of the cafe. We played hide and seek in the sculpture garden while waiting for our food. Last stop was My Big Back Yard kids section; he loved everything in there. He cried when it was time to leave, because we won't be able to come back soon.
google avatar

Bryan J.

Yelp
I love this place, they have food, plants, walking paths, and event spaces. They also have a huge area for kids to play that I wish I had to play on when I was a kid. The people that work here are always so friendly, and will answer questions as they are working.
google avatar

Frances S.

Yelp
I only had a few hours to explore Memphis on my own during a recent trip for a wedding. I love botanical gardens so decided to give it a go. I was not disappointed. This would be an ideal place to bring kids, even without the special event. That said, I was there for an Alice in Wonderland exhibit that appeared to include special activities and costumed performers and even though it was winding down by the time I got there, the kids in costumes were a testament to the fun of the event. This place was really beautiful, fun, and relaxing. Make sure you grab the sunscreen and mosquito repellent and bring a water bottle. You'll want to stay a while.

Yelp
Memphis Parent Camp Expo was on Saturday, March 23rd, 10am-1pm at the Memphis Botanic Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee. This was a free event for families! Camp Expo has summer camps, day camps, extra-curricular camps, and more. Presenters from each camp did explain more info with parents, fun activities, and arts and crafts for the kids. Also present will be presenting sponsor Orion Federal Credit Union with information about their 5k coming up on June 8, 2019 and other event sponsors was there. Memphis Botanic Garden had complimentary admission to the Japanese origami Garden and to My Big Backyard for all attendees. Food trucks and other fun activities, a fun day of learning for parents and kids!!!

Yelp
Amazing place to go with kids or on a date, or even by yourself. I spent 2 hours here with my boyfriend and had plenty to see. Beautiful gardens, ponds, and you get to see animals and fish. Wear comfortable walking shoes!

Yelp
On any sunny day in Memphis you are bound to find me here wandering around with my parasol in a dreamy like state. In fact I've been known to come here on not so sunny days. I eagerly await the blooming stages of all the jonquils and tulips and variety of Japanese magnolias. I like that you can find these random paths you did not know where there before and walk across old wooden bridges or even stone bridges. There are little bubbling creeks and ponds... and fat sassy (demanding) koi fish. There is much room for improvement (the butterfly garden is not so great and seems much neglected) but much that is wonderful just the way it is. They have recently added chickens (large regal beautiful beasts). If I ever tie the knot I want it to be here in daffodil hill in view of the Japanese garden. I have maintained a membership here for several years and will continue to do so. Interesting fact, if you have a membership at Memphis Botanical Gardens, you get the sane membership benefits at many of the Botanical gardens all over the country. With my membership I've visited (feee entry) the desert botanical gardens in Phoenix and the botanical gardens in Chicago, Atlanta, etc. You don't exactly have to be a plant enthusiast to enjoy the Botanical gardens. There are interesting exhibits, sculptures, local art, an entire area dedicated to getting kids involved in the outdoors and using their imagination. There are tons of a quiet reflective spots to sit and breath and just feel like 'you' again. If I happen to stumble upon you in your solitude ... please ignore me as I'm generally chasing down conversations with the honeybees.

Yelp
This was a great place to relax. Really hot the day we went. But lots of shaded areas. Picnic tables too. Play areas for kids in the Big Backyard area. You can fill up your water bottle inside the visitor center. I wouldn't drink the water from the fountains outside as it was all cloudy with foamy bubbles on top when we filled up our bottles from those fountains. You can buy fish food at the front desk which we did. And we bought a shirt too because the Alice in Wonderland exhibits were cool. Saw some kids playing in the water too. Not sure that's sanctioned or not. But I think it's probably ok as it's in the kids area so maybe bring a swimsuit?

Yelp
I visited the Memphis Botanic Garden this past weekend with my family. It was a pretty fall day, and I did enjoy my visit, but I didn't feel that the garden was as nice as others I've been to in other cities (a lot of fields of grass, fewer manicured garden areas). I enjoyed the Asian Garden and the Japanese Garden most. And the fall colors around the majority of the other garden areas were pretty. We did get off the path several times and end up in areas that seemed like we weren't supposed to be there (like maybe construction is happening at the garden and we walked through it?). I think the Garden is better for families with children, because they have a large area for children to explore with fun things to climb up and slide off, etc. But for the price ($10 for adults), I wasn't terribly impressed by our visit.

Ashley R.

Yelp
Family friendly, great to explore, amazing staff! We really enjoyed it! Purchased membership.

Yelp
Visited the Botanical Gardens this past week on a girlfriend get away. One reason we went is because it is outdoors and we planned our adventures based on high COVID numbers in the Memphis area. The other reason is that botanical gardens are one of my favorite things. So we bought our tickets on line, $8 for senior admission which was reasonable. Plenty of parking, easy entry. The visitor center had plenty of clean bathrooms and several walls of art work for sale. It was a very hot day so not the best day to walk through the gardens but we took out time and enjoyed the visit. The lake with large fish and ducks was nice. I liked the fact that some of the walking trails were actually through wooded areas which made you feel like you were hiking. There are plenty of paved paths to wander through the Japanese garden, sculpture garden, rose garden, etc. The big thing is that going in September there are not a lot of flowers/bushes/trees blooming. But it is a well organized garden with lots to see, all tress/bushes/flowers were well marked. It is worth the trip but if I go again it will be when things are blooming.

Lindsey D.

Yelp
Beautiful place to see! The woman at the counter was very nice. Our favorite parts were feeding the koi fish and the cute Alice and Wonderland photo spots

Yelp
Have been enjoying the Gardens for decades now. The Big Back Yard is fantastic fun for the kids and the Live at the Gardens are great for the adults. This is a gem for the city of Memphis
google avatar

Dani C.

Yelp
I love love love this place. They have a firefly glow party every year that me and my son go to. We also just like to randomly visit. The kids section is huge. We were literally there for 6 hrs and it still wasn't enough. There are also walking paths for adults. Great place in my opinion.
google avatar

Haze A.

Yelp
This is a very large garden with smaller different themed gardens. I went there earlier this month but it looked boring and not really much to see. The only place I really liked was the Japanese garden. Lots of dead shrubs/plants, vines, empty spaces, almost ran down pieces. I wish they would put work into it, make it alive again! I can only imagine how magical and pretty this place would be if they maintain it better. The place has so much potential. Add more flowers and whatnot. It ended up like a dead stroll for me. Nonetheless, I managed to take nice photo of the Japanese garden

Yelp
My visit to the Botanic Garden was for my half brothers wedding on what turned out to be a spectacularly perfect October day! I found the gardens to be lovely and well maintained. Everything was set up beautifully for the ceremony and then we moved indoors for the reception. I understand that the venue has a "rain plan" in place just in case, but completely unnecessary on this day thankfully! The staff was very professional and pleasant. The food was delicious and the service was great. We never had to wait for anything and there was never a shortage of food or drink. My only regret Is that I wasn't in town long enough to see more of the gardens but the part I saw was beautiful, Next time I will plan to spend much more time there and explore everything there is to explore.

Yelp
My family went to the Holiday Wonders event for the first time this year. We were trying to decide on going to this or the Zoo Lights, but we have done the zoo a couple of times and wanted to change it up. No one in our group was under the age of 23 and we had a blast! Of course, a lot of it is geared towards families with kids, but we were still able to make it fun as well. I hadn't been to the Botanic Garden since I was in elementary school, so it was fun showing my husband around and reminiscing. My Big Backyard was set up so cute! It was fun to run around and let our inner child out again. We even took pictures with Santa, Snow Queen, Gingerbread Man, Frosty, and Rudolph! I would definitely recommend it for a family or a date. There was couches set up with fire tables to roast hot dogs and smores, so it could be a fun date night.

Yelp
Wow what a spectacular place! Great place for children with wonderful examples of plants/flowers/trees/bushes, art, and interactive installations. The grounds are immaculate. This place was just breathtaking. Can't wait to bring my son back when he's older and can understand what this place is all about.

Yelp
You have got to be kidding me. Every time I travel I like to visit the botanical garden but this was an absolute bust. Due to Covid-19 all the buildings were closed but the outdoor areas did not seem to be maintained well at all. It is shameful that it was even open considering how much there wasn't to see. It would have been better to have been given a voucher to return at a later time when all exhibits were open as opposed to charging full price to see so many dry plants. Even in the off season this place left a lot to be desired. I took a friend as this was her first experience with a botanical garden only to be embarrassed to have wasted our time. Just close. It was a disappointment. Out of the vast amount of land there were only three areas of bloomed flowers and picture worthy areas. This was sad.

Yelp
Over the years, we have attended many enjoyable attractions at the Memphis Botanic Gardens; both inside and outside. Most recently, we attended a Gladys Knight concert with 1st Come Seating on the lawn. Thankfully, the weather was cooperative and we got there early enough to claim a great spot on the lawn. It was a VERY ENJOYABLE Experience! Gladys put on a GREAT performance and the eclectic audience provided almost as much entertainment :) Here's a few suggestions for a more enjoyable Concert on the Lawn at the Memphis Botanic Gardens: - Bring Your Own Tribe (Invite Family and/or Friends) - Buy a Parking Pass (unless you have Official Handicap Designation) - Get there EARLY for better Parking and Lawn Seating location - Plan for a Picnic (Cooler, Chairs, Foods, Beverages, Blankets) - Bring enough Food & Beverages for Pre-Show and During Show - Get a Wagon to transport your stuff from Parking to the Lawn - Bring some Cash (there are Food & Beverage Vendors onsite) - Pack-up and get to your Vehicle before the Concert ends Perhaps we will see you at the next Concert on the Lawn. Recommend that you visit the Memphis Botanic Garden and get familiar with its layout and Special Events. Like us (years ago), if you are new to Memphis it is a GREAT place to meet new and interesting people and start building your local Personal/Professional Network.

Yelp
Place was great when we went during summer last year. With my kids on spring break today, we figured it'd be nice to see the new blooming stuff at the gardens. Went in with my wife and 3 kids, and noticed immediately things under construction even in the room with the desk where you pay to get in. No big deal. Sign on the wall said the coy fish are not out at this time due to hibernation. Shame, since my kids loved feeding those fish last time, but all good. We paid and went out to see that most of the bushes and trees looked dead, not having even started to bloom. Flowers are even blooming on the side of the roads in my neighborhood at this time, but whatever. Before even getting past the building we came out of, we saw a playground area my kids wanted to go play in- closed. An area to the right looks potentially neat- big sign said closed. We started down another path and saw that whatever the exhibit in the distance was, it had a sign on the path that said closed too. At that point my wife and I decided we made a mistake and should see if we can get our money back since we were ready to leave already. Kids fully agreed, so we went back into the building we'd just left. I approached the desk and asked the same lady with glasses and black curly hair that we had paid minutes ago if I could ask her something that I hate to ask. She said yes, so I started telling her how we had something different in mind when we came for the kids spring break today but it seems nothing is in bloom and a lot looks closed. She interrupted me before I finished to say "So do you have a question or what? Do you expect me to make the flowers bloom? No, its not a good time to come here. It won't be a good year to be here. It snowed recently. What do you want me to do about it?" Trying to ignore how awful she was, I told her we were hoping to get a refund since we just got here and are leaving. She got up and said "Let me ask my supervisor", then getting her boss's attention, she said "These people have been out in the gardens for over 30 minutes and now they want their money back". As I told her manager that wasn't true at all, the rude lady called the next customer in line over and disregarded me altogether. Her boss asked me if free passes so we could come back when the park is in better shape would be okay, and I said yes absolutely, then we left. There was no reason for that lady to be so mean. Horrible and embarrassing experience. I probably won't ever even use these tickets because I'd never want to deal with that person again.

Yelp
My dad has THE most incredible garden - with vegetables, fruits and flowers. BUT, his daughter (yours truly) is a poor example of a plant proliferation protégé. As I work to reform my ways, the Memphis Botanic Garden is a godsend. With that, I truly appreciate the MBG's plant sales throughout the year, along with their education programs for both kids AND adults. I've also been to many a concert on the lawn, events in the Grand Gallery, and I haven't been let down once. NOT once. Wherever you are on the grounds, there's an intimate feel, despite the nearly 100 acre expanse. It's due to the fact that the gardens are sectioned off into various different settings. My favorite vista is the amazing Japanese Garden of Tranquility. It's arguably one of the best settings in Memphis, aside from the views on and around the Mississippi River. The pond, the swans and the geese just bring me peace - within. Yes. It rhymed and I liked it. If you are looking for an activity for children, My Big Backyard is for you. Woot! In addition to the Live at the Garden concert series, I've really enjoyed different events in the Grand Gallery - an enclosed hall with a seated area and an outdoor water garden. The cost ranges from FREE to $8 per visit!!!!!! Even if you don't have enough time to visit this treasure of a 28-garden experience, you can just do lunch at Fratelli's Cafe. Plain and simple. There is no excuse to miss out on the joy that is The Memphis Botanic Garden.

Yelp
one of the cuter botanical gardens I've seen. it's spaced out so the gardens feels vaster than it really it. it does feel slightly empty though. was happy to hear they obtained the wonderland works from Atl, but sad they only received half of it. it was also a lil depressing that the alice piece wasn't spinning. will probably visit again before the end of the summer to see any changes

Yelp
This place is simply amazing. 96 acres of flowers, plants and trees. Fountains, koi pond, baby ducks and geese. They had it all. It's such a beautiful garden. We saw 2 couples taking their wedding photos here. Who wouldn't?

Yelp
Glad Memphis has a botanical garden, it was a nice couple hours of site seeing. Should have probably gone in Spring, I'm sure it would have been prettier. My favorite area was the Japanese garden. More ground workers needed to keep an eye on people not being kind to the Koi fish. I had to confront a young man throwing rocks at the Koi. When I brought it to the attention to the front desk I unfortunately didn't get the feeling anything was going to be done about it, very sad.

Yelp
Memphis Botanic Garden is my home away from home. I take oil painting classes there, attend horticulture meetings, and take grandkids to feed the koi in the Japanese Garden or to My Big Backyard. The Hosta Display Garden has a remarkable variety of hostas. Did I mention the nursery where I have purchased many of the plants that are in my garden. Fratellie's Cafe has delicious food--the pork loin salad and Super Mario sandwich are my favs!
