"An Ancient Park on the Edge of the City Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985, the Jardin Menarawas created in the mid-12th century by the Almohad dynasty. Since then, its gardenshavebeen added to and embellished by varying degrees for other sultans but always centered around a huge, flat reflecting pool, which captures the Atlas Mountains in the most sensational way on a clear day and forms the focus of a space that covers nearly 250 acres. An elegant pavilion was installedduring the Saadian rule ofthe 18th century and proveda popular summer escape from the heat among city dignitaries. Unlike other, more formal gardens of the city, Menara’s vast olive groves, orange orchards, and cypresses feel more naturaland create a trueescape from the fray. Although extremely popular with picnicking Moroccan families in the afternoons, the place isblessedly free of tourists and a lovely, peaceful place for a stroll."

Menara Gardens is a calm and beautiful escape just outside the busy center of Marrakech. The large reflecting pool with the Atlas Mountains in the background creates a truly iconic view, especially on a clear day. It’s a perfect place for a relaxed walk, to enjoy nature, and to take in the peaceful atmosphere. Simple, spacious, and scenic - an ideal spot to slow down and appreciate Marrakech from a different perspective.

If you have children I would not recommend going here apologies but there is nothing to see. The pond is very murky and I was underwhelmed with the visit here. If you are going for a picnic it's and excellent place to go with friends as you can shade well under an olive tree but don't expect too much. The vendors are lovely, offering trinkets, caps and head coverings, also pomegranate and sugar cane juices and ice creams.

Peaceful. Vast, enjoyable to walk among the olive orchard, workers were harvesting olives.
Beautiful.

Honestly, this is quite a boring spot. The bus had to stop some distance away and we had to walk a very long distance all the way to see a dirty large pool. Presumably the army trained in this pool. The size is impressive, but that’s about it.

Huge reservoir and 80 Acer olive groove in the heart of Marrachesh. No real facilities, has a public water closet.

Beautiful olive groves with a Pavillion and enclosed water feature. To avoid in summer or during very hot temperatures.

The gardens were alright. Its a nice spot to chill at, but not really worth the visit if you're a tourist. The little house and body of water is nice though

It's great place to spend some peacefully time, olive trees, garden, walking trails, a place to lay to rest, ( bring your blanket to lay on ) but it's a pretty peaceful tranquil place, and very very big!
