If I could give this place more than 5 stars i would. Tents, beds and everything inside the tent was clean and smelled good. They have warming pad on the mattress so you sleep comfortably, which made a huge difference! The place had the common area that felt more like a club house than a glamping site, and the location is absolutely spectacular! Just minutes from Russian Gulch, Mendocino Headlands, Big river and so many other beautiful gems. Kids have the best time while staying safe, dogs are welcome, i mean… say less. We will definitely be coming back.

I'm recommending this place to everyone I know! Very accommodating, peaceful, quaint yet all the amenities. Beautiful breakfast area. Lots of thought put into the details. View of the sea, sounds of the waves. Best sleep ever! My new favorite spot!

Amazing lush grounds, well laid out & maintained. Was in a tent with 4 beds that was spacious enough for each of us to have room for our bags, and a section of a table where we each could charge our phones. The shower/bathroom buildings were large and conveniently located and were clean with fresh flowers on the counters. It was a very peaceful stay!!

Google
Mendocino Grove is a magical place. They’ve done so many great improvements since I was there last and it felt so comfortable. It’s always really cold at night, so I recommend heating up your heat pad for at least one hour before. We had a group reservation and Marne, the events manager, did a great job taking care of us.

Google
We had the best experience! This was our first time glamping and I can’t wait to come back. Great location, stunning ocean views & so close to the Mendocino town. I highly recommend Mendocino Grove. The Staff was so sweet & helpful. They offer campfire valet for those of us that don’t know how to turn on a fire.

Phenomenal yoga class with a beautiful view of the ocean! The environment is so peaceful and lovely with all the amenities to be both comfortable and luxurious. Assess to a sauna and massage. Delicious food and perfect hiking nearby! 10/10

We absolutely loved everything about our stay at Mendocino Grove! The grounds were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was the perfect mix of beach and forest with the most beautiful views!

Google
We recently stayed at Mendocino Grove for two nights, and it was a fantastic glamping experience! The location is stunning, with beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean, just a three-hour drive from San Jose. The tents were well-equipped and comfortable, with heated beds—a must for the chilly nights. The site has great amenities, including bathrooms, showers, BBQ stations and a communal area where they provide breakfast options like eggs, coffee, tea and oats. It’s also conveniently close to town (about a 10-minute drive), so you can easily grab supplies or dine at local restaurants. One thing to note: If you’re a light sleeper, consider booking a tent that’s more tucked in, as the sound of the waves crashing can be quite loud at night. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely visit again!

Yelp
Camped here early November and stayed for a weekend. The first day was raining so we didn't get to do much but the next day we were able to get things going with the fire pit. I booked the tent that had easy access to the main amenities, which I highly recommend. The bathroom was about a 30 second walk away from our tent. Night time was cold and that's where the heated blanket shined. The tents are located next to the ocean so you'll hear the waves in the background. Breakfast was simple, oatmeal with some toppings (raisins, nuts, seeds, coconut sheddings, cinnamon, brown sugar etc), pumpkin bread, and boiled eggs. Coffee too. A good selection of tea was available all day. There were hammocks and a lot of outdoor seating spread throughout the eating area. We got to park right outside the tent. Overall a pretty fun experience, but I don't think I'd want to do it again in super cold weather. They did provide the heated blanket and had ceiling space heaters for the outdoor dining area though. The bathrooms were pretty nice and clean too! A few things I didn't enjoy as much was how the driving path was also the walking path. During the night there would be little kids running around on the path, so we had to be extra careful driving in the dark. I also didn't like how the fire pit and picnic table was behind our tent and not in the front. I also feel like there should be a little more protection added for the tent because some of the tent zippers were accessible from the outside and not the inside.

Yelp
I'm super impressed with all the amenities at Mendocino Grove. To start, we got a tent with our own "private" space around our tent - they put logs around the perimeter of our area and we didn't have any issues with anyone getting too close to us. We were right in front of the common grass area. I was also impressed that the beds were so comfortable and actually heated! It was so cozy during the cold nights. We also brought our dog and they had a bed and food/water dishes ready for us, which was really nice. I was impressed with the bathrooms as well. Even though it was shared, it was always clean, and there were even fresh flowers in some of the bathrooms! They had free tea and coffee, which we took advantage of. It was nice to have access to hot water as well. I'm sure this is common with a lot of campsite sites, but we were able to buy firewood from them so we didn't have to go out of our way to buy any. The staff was also super nice and made sure we were taken care of. My 1st of 2 minor complaint was that the bottom of the tent is not locked down. Luckily, no mosquitos came in, but our dog did escape one time! We got paranoid and blocked the bottom of the tent with some of our luggage and also leashed her inside. My 2nd of 2 complaint, and I'm not docking Mendocino Grove a star because it's no one's fault, but there were SO MANY KIDS. But that's not really the problem. It was that they were all SCREAMING and running around NONSTOP from morning until night. Luckily, they were good during quiet hours, but non-quiet hours also start pretty early so it was hard to sleep in! I don't know how common this is - maybe it was just the weekend I went. The staff said there was some kind of family reunion or something. I was expecting a nice, relatively quiet camp, but all I could hear was kids ALL THE TIME. Overall though, it was a great stay and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to glamp.

Yelp
A gorgeous relaxing stay. Staff was wonderful, views were great. Can't wait to return. The beds were cozy and warm. Vibes were great. Close to town but felt so far from it all. I wish our site had been more level. I felt drunk for the entire stay. Nevertheless, I had a blissful time and I loved every minute.

Yelp
Walt from Walt's Adventures adventuring in Mendocino Grove outside of Mendocino, California. The Glamping campground gave me a great outdoor experience. They had a movie night and daily small breakfast for all. Also, the options for Yoga, showers, and sauna. They had a trail nearby and I would recommend the grove for anyone.

Yelp
We had a wonderful first visit to Mendocino Grove. We are seasoned campers, but have never tried glamping and it was every bit as easy as it looked! We arrived shortly after 4 pm check in time - it was a very easy drive up, in-car, check-in experience. Then we were given a map and they highlighted our tent area as well as where we would park. We were in Comptche - C5, a junior vista spot with a queen bed and bunk beds. We parked right behind the meadow commons area as directed (which was where we would end up getting coffee and hot oatmeal each morning) and there were wagons we could use to unload our car. The campground is lovely, completely serene and beautifully well-kept. And the bathrooms? Incredible! So clean! Fresh flowers! It was like a dream. This was where we spent the next two nights - this was July, but Mendocino July so think chilly!!! We dressed in layers and were prepared. The queen bed came equipped with a heated mattress pad, which I've never experienced before, but was truly magical on the cold nights. The kids were less impressed with their bunk beds, which were basic cots that didn't come with heating. Instead they had sleeping bags, lined with sheets, and a heavy blanket each. That was the one aspect that could be improved upon. The morning offerings at Meadow Commons were exceptional coffee, plenty of teas to choose from, hot oatmeal and toppings as well as type of sweet bread (carrot cake loaf on one day). All tasted great and they played some nice jazz as well. Plenty of seating available. Wi-fi worked well over at the Meadow Commons as well. On one morning, we rented a canoe from Catch A Canoe Rentals, and were able to walk there and back. The town of Mendocino is also just a few minutes away by car and super charming! Hammocks were readily available - and clean BBQ grills as well. When we were there, it wasn't fully booked in our area so was nicely private and quiet, despite being the family tent area. Mornings were among the quietest camp mornings I've ever experienced in my camping experience, which was incredible! Overall, Mendocino Grove is a great spot for hanging your hat and enjoying the great outdoors for a few days. I'd definitely recommend it - they've put a lot of love into this place and it shows.

Yelp
What a beautiful and relaxing experience! Mendocino Grove has everything you need and nothing you don't. Their meals are health focused but really creative and yummy. I'm not a coffee drinker but they have a morning coffee/espresso bar near the Meadow Commons. Multiple hammocks and fire circles dot the open space, and they have a bocce ball court! Teresa, the owner, is super sweet and accommodating. There are multiple tents with partial ocean views too! I will definitely be returning, hopefully with more people.

Yelp
Great stay. Beautiful and clean. Clean showers- I still wore flip flops, but it was out of habit not bc it wasn't clean. Tents were spacious and private. I wish the tents fully zipped closed at the openings, it was really windy and we had a draft coming through, also had an animal try to scratch its way in, if it was fully closed that would've been less bothersome. I was told the lights on the nightstands were USB-C to charge devices, theyre not, they're USB-A. We had a great time though, will stay again.

Yelp
Such a great place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Accommodations and facilities were nice and clean. Staff and camp hosts were nice and friendly. Yoga was enjoyable. We just love this area and I'm sure we'll be back. Perfect Mother's Day!

Yelp
Went here for a short getaway before the holidays come. What a gem. Right off Highway 1 and easy to find, super close to Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Beautiful grounds, clean bathrooms, lovely tent and everything we needed. We got the premium tent with the most privacy, and I don't think I would choose the tents much closer together. Great for a family camping trip. Commons area had cocoa and wifi and nice places to sit and relax. Only negatives were the siren that goes off constantly, I don't think they can control that- but it went all night and you could feel the vibration when you slept. It was really rough to bring all the supplies to the tent, even with a cart. It was quite far from the parking spot, a concierge service would have been perfect. The heated beds were amazing and very comfortable.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
My partner and I were recently there for the first time with our dog and it was an amazing experience! The tent and space around was lovely and had a great view. The Common Meadows provides a good simple breakfast and nice eating area with heat lamps. We did the Friday night dinner, which was really tasty, with a folk duo performance. The facilities (bathrooms and showers) were also really impressive and clean plus heated beds!! Go check out the nearby Mendocino Headlands Trail...the views were amazing and the town is pretty cute as well!

Yelp
Clean well kept grounds, fully equipped tents, sauna, yoga, massage, and free breakfast daily. Surrounded by trees, wildlife, beaches, and the quaint downtown area. It's like a we went back in time.

Yelp
For those of us who may not be ready to take on real camping, Mendocino Grove is around to give us a smoother intro into the woods. I've seen posts on Instagram of glamping before and was always intrigued by the idea of it and once I found out Mendocino was dog friendly, I was sold. The drive over from the Bay Area was long. The road it may take you to could be windy, bumpy, and honestly not for those that get motion sickness. Honestly, the overall trip was lovely. There's showers, individual toilets, constant hot water refill, and the bed has a heater for those cold nights. Seriously, we're treated like royalty, y'all. Only cons I can think of: -Everything in the tent felt moist and it smelled funky - not sure if the smell is standard or due to the weather conditions -Neighbors were loud - quiet hours are between 10pm-7am and while they were quiet around 10pm, we got woken up by them laughing around midnight. Understand it's not on Mendocino Grove, but would like to flag to remind people to be considerate towards their neighbors -Text for help - I love this feature especially when it came to getting help to start our fire, however, it'd be nice if they could provide an estimated time so you're not left wondering if they received the message or not

Yelp
I am still reminiscing about my fun and relaxing sister glamping trip in Mendocino Grove during Memorial Day weekend. While my sister is an avid camper, I'm definitely still new in getting adjusted to outdoorsy things, communal bathrooms and such. Pulling off Hwy 1, try not to go too fast as your approaching the driveway. Immediately your car will take you on a narrow uphill road where you will park in front of their store for check in. It was a breeze. The welcoming guide gave us a map and a brief overview of the campgrounds. We paid a touch more for a Classic Tent Vista Plus facing the ocean. Tent & area: inside the tent was spacious & clean. I love that they had a few hangers for your jackets, 2 plugged in bedside lamps, and an additional 2 small LED lanterns for walking in the dark with. I was able to charge my phone and small electronics no problem. Outside, was a fire pit ($10 for delivered firewood), a picnic table, and a metal storage bin for your foods. Although there were other tents around us, we felt that we had a lot of privacy! We cooked all our meals except for breakfast. Campgrounds: every morning they offered a small breakfast such as oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. There's also a barista on-site for lattes & other breakfast items for a price. The campgrounds is lovely and well kept. Everyone that worked there was always smiling and you can tell they liked being there. The common area had tables as well as chairs by fire pits. For being such a family friendly oriented place, it was quite peaceful. The communal bathrooms were surprisingly clean! They had 3 spacious shower stalls. Bathrooms (I brought my own blow dryer), and also a sink to wash your dishes with soap. They also have a store that sells Mendocino Grove merch. Very cute stuff! We didn't take advantage of the mini meals that you can purchase before a hike but I'm sure they were delicious. Honestly, they thought of everything. Surrounding area: Mendocino Grove is perfectly located a couple miles outside of Mendocino town that has restaurants and shops. Then a few more miles ahead is Fort Bragg town that's also slightly bigger. The hiking trails were abundant! We also rented an outrigger canoe at Catch a Canoe and did some rail bikes at the Skunk Train. Overall our stay was fun and relaxing! I absolutely cannot wait to do it again despite it being about 6 hours away for us. Also, if you drive an EV, I recommend charging in Petaluma, then at Fort Bragg later on. The drive was nothing short of amazing. Don't forget to pull off the road near Navarro Redwoods for some epic shots of the trees. Mendocino Grove , see you again!

Yelp
Mendocino Grove is a very nice property. The glamping experience is very nice. The bathrooms and showers are top-notch. The beds are very comfortable and you can't beat the ocean view. The staff are very kind and helpful. We keep the accommodations and property in great condition. The only issue I have, and the reason it's only four stars is the layout. We had an ocean view tent (p5). The tents are not as secluded as I would've liked or as the website shows. And being in P5, we had foot traffic that comes within feet of our site. To get to the tent next to us campers had to walk nearly through our campsite. There is a trail down towards the ocean that leads hikers right next to our site and a viewing deck that also is accessed by a trail right next to our site. We did not have a full campsite but the traffic was still irritating. I can't imagine if the camp was full. walking around I could tell that this was not a singular occurrence. Other campsites were accessed with trails right next to them. The pictures will explain what I'm talking about.

Yelp
Unique, incredible, fantastic, magical... there are not enough words to explain this place. We spent the last two nights of their season before closing up for winter. I was nervous since it was the close of their season that our stay would be less than it would have been at peak season. When we arrived, all my nerves were gone. So much care and attention to detail goes into this place. Fresh cut flowers in the bathrooms, at sink stations, clean, and I mean CLEAN bathrooms and showers. My husband and I are not campers or even glampers. We have no real camping gear or experience. This place was the perfect starting point to retreat to nature with all the creature comforts. We didn't want to leave and are already planning to return next year.

Josh B.

Yelp
Don't know how it's taken me so long to review this place. Just got back from my 2nd time there and man what an amazing experience. My wife and I try to make it out there every now and then to de-stress. She isn't much of a camper so this is the best I can get. For a couple stay, we love staying in room N8. Also, N9 looks great too. Both have direct views of the Ocean and are right off the loop trail which takes you around the campground. If a family stay, I think L6 is amazing. It's right by a beautiful gulch filled with ferns. It's also very isolated. The one con is I'd say it's probably the room furthest from the bathrooms. After that, L1 and L2 are sort of in their own area and would be perfect for larger family gatherings. Each of these rooms have a queen bed and two twins from what we saw. For the facilities/amenities, the restrooms for the N8/9 side are about a minute or two walk and have showers, very clean restrooms, a sauna and a massage room. Then if you need ice, firewood, drinks, or games, they have all of that up front. Lastly, they have a breakfast bar with oatmeal, coffee, drinks, etc. Only thing that is difficult is it can be cold at night, but they do have heaters for the bed, wet since you're right by the Ocean and critters can wake you up at night if they walk on your tent or site. But to me, it is so minor and the experience itself is completely worth it. I highly recommend staying here for a nice glamping experience.

Yelp
Even though we're seasoned campers, it can be fun to splurge a bit and go glamping, This is a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors and the Mendocino surroundings. It's dog friendly, with great amenities- bright, sturdy, and clean tent cabins, nice dinner or breakfast spreads, and modern bathrooms/outdoor showers. Downsides are the tents can be awfully close together (lack real privacy and the feeling that you're in the great outdoors by yourself) and cold showers if you visit outside of summer/fall.
google avatar

Yael G.

Yelp
Glancing at its finest! We loved the tent and how peaceful it was. The fire concierge was a nice touch as well, since we're not great at building our fires. Our dog enjoyed as well!

Yelp
Our first time glamping was such a success thanks to Mendocino Grove. The amenities here are amazing. I love the outdoors but I hate sleeping on the dirt and not having a bathroom so camping is a no go for me. But glamping? OH YES. The tents here are decked out with all the bedroom essentials and has a much needed heating blanket. But you will still need to wear layers! The bathroom situation is so comfortable, they have more than enough toilets, an outside sink, outside and inside shower and they are all very clean. You can cook at your private campsite or you can also use one of the community grills. Id advise you bring all your own food but you can also go to a nearby market. Theres also restaurants nearby. Many activities around like hiking, kayaking, biking etc. My only regret is that we only booked 1 night.. about a week after booking we tried to add on another night but there was no more availability and that was still a month or so before our actual camp date. They fill up really fast especially weekends! So book as soon as possible!

Yelp
Obsessed with this place!! Went with my family and dog and had the best experience. All the amenities you could need including sauna, yoga every morning, complimentary breakfast, tea all day, lovely restrooms and showers. Cant say enough good things!! Cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
My dream glamp experience!! The tent was so cute and luxurious. Book early as people book months and months in advance. They offer breakfast and coffee each morning. Shared bathrooms and bbq grill. Fire pits and great views. Also dog friendly. Would stay again.

Yelp
Ok this is relax style camping. They will take care of everything including lighting your fire, I am more of the outdoors type but when we were checking in the guy told me to lean into the glamping lifestyle. Great place that you can camp have tea bring your dogs kids or not, It is up to you , it is a chill place right near town but you will not want to leave it is that nice. Bring a jacket it is still camping. They have electric blankets too!
google avatar

Geronimo R.

Yelp
Came here for a work retreat! It was a beautiful landscape and the amenities were nice including a sauna and some awesome game areas like volleyball and bocce ball. They even had a dog wash! The service was also amazing with kind staff. The food was also fresh and delicious. I'd come back!

Yelp
We have been coming to Mendocino Grove for at last 7 years and not only has it been an incredible experience every time, the campground only gets better and better. Each year, new things are added or upgraded, making the stay even more enjoyable than the last. I have never met such caring, conscientious, and high service staff. From the check in folks to the cleaning crew, it is clear they take great pride in the campground and the guest experience. We were fortunate to have part of our stay on Sunday so enjoyed local music at The Commons at the campground along with a magnificent and delicious meal by their visiting chef. The mid week stay is where it's at. We felt like we had the place to ourselves and could enjoy ample space and peace. I also very much appreciate the non-toxic products they use and the organic teas they offer. This is really important to me and often accommodations offer the cheapest (and thereby poor quality) products and so it says a lot about MG's ethos that they value cleaner options for their guests. And it's such a beautiful and magical place. It was a nourishing experience all around and we will continue to come here again and again. It is our absolute favorite!
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
A group of 14 of us girls drove about 4 hours away (some a lot further) and stayed at Mendocino Grove. The place is absolutely beautiful. The tents were equipped with King or Queen sized beds with a heated blanket where you can adjust the temperature according to your liking. There was also a table, director's chair, small mirror, portable lamp, coat hanger and a chest to put your belongings in. Bring a COMBINATION or MASTER LOCK, so that you can lock your belongings up when you head out for a hike or off grounds. We didn't have one and didn't have any issues with anyone stealing our stuff because our campsite was pretty secluded. The bathrooms, showers, and sinks were cleaned very frequently, which made our Glamping trip a little more pleasant! You must wear a mask when you're in the community areas. Also, you can refill your hydroflasks or water bottles with filtered water near the bathrooms. They serve breakfast in the mornings until 10:00AM, which includes Fruit, Yogurt and Coffee. There were a couple things that contributed to the number of stars that I posted: - We were told that all 7 tents would be in the same area, but there was one tent that was on the other side of the campgrounds. - My tent, E4, smelled like urine. It was pretty unbearable to be in it and also sleep in there. My tent mate slept in the car the second because the smell was so bad the first night. - Raccoons and Skunks walk around and the Raccoons would enter into our tents to search for food in the middle of the night. They also come into the tents in the daytime as well because they took both Cocoa Bombs we left on each nightstand in the tent across the campsite, so just beware and DO NOT LEAVE ANY FOOD IN YOUR TENTS. Overall, I would 100% return to this campsite because it was absolutely clean and great for large groups. The staff was very friendly as well! Be sure to BARRICADE THE BOTTOM OF YOUR TENT before sleeping to prevent visitors in the middle of the night!

Yelp
I LOVE MENDOCINO GROVE! Glamping had been on our bucket list for a long time, so I decided to surprise my husband with a trip here for his birthday. We had a blast and would absolutely come back. Here's are my top 3 reasons why. 1) The campgrounds are stunning and modern! There are plenty of hiking trails on the property, and they provide you with a list of local restaurants and activities to check out nearby. 2) Convenience. I lived out of a backpack while traveling abroad for a year, but I'm a city girl at heart. Mendocino Grove made the experience of "roughing it" more enjoyable. They also have heated blankets and hot running water which is a plus since it can get pretty cold here. 3) The staff is incredibly friendly. They even mailed us back a jacket we accidentally left in our tent! Did I mention they have a dog park, dog wash station, and cool merch for your pup? And that you can book a massage and use their sauna? I'd give this place 10 stars if I could :) Come visit!

Yelp
What a cool place to stay! Wanna go camping? But don't want to set up camp? Well this is the place. Yes it gets chilly.. and it has a little bit of a communal vibe.. but it's already for you to climb into a hotel quality bed with an electric heated mattress pad.. a nice thick tent to keep out the breeze (thank goodness the northern west coast is not so forgiving) clean campground.. beautiful redwoods.. hikes galore.. good seafood in town.. free oatmeal/fruit/nut bread/coffee/tea till 10 am.. nice showers! Sauna and group yoga :) it was lovely. I would totally stay again! The service was great too.. all very friendly staff.. thanks guys! I'll be back!

Yelp
PROS + Extremely friendly staff! We really liked that we could text our requests (with a quick response) + We booked two separate tents, and we were able to stay next to each other. + Lots of cool souvenirs for purchase + This place is dog friendly, and the dog wash was so convenient! + The tents were fairly clean. The heated blankets were so nice, especially during the summer months. It gets quite chilly. + Morning breakfast/coffee/tea provided. Dog treats were also available during this time. + Common area is really large. + Bathrooms are extremely clean. There is a common bathroom with multiple stalls and private stalls. + I highly recommend trying the outdoor showers. It was very nice!! + There is storage box outside your tent so animals don't get to it. Make sure to use this! + There are two leather chairs outside of the tent, and it's so comfy! + Each campsite comes with your own fire pit. CONS - I read a review about someone saying the inside of their tent smelled like urine. I felt that ours smelled like urine as well, so we had to use scented room spray every few hours. I'm not sure it's urine, but maybe the smell of the canvas of the tent with all the moisture. Regardless, the smell was not pleasant. - Very expensive to stay here. - While walking my dog, I noticed he would get sap stuck in his paws due to the pine trees. Not the campsites fault, but something to keep in mind if you're going on walks. TIP *There is no Verizon cell service here. You can access wifi in the common area. You may want to come prepared with pre-downloaded shows prior to your visit. *Luckily, we visited during the weekday, and it wasn't too busy. It was nice to be able to use the bathroom without having to ever wait.

Yelp
Our family of four just spent three night at Mendocino Grove -- and it was so lovely. The tent was comfortable and clean for us and the kids. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with EO products. The whole place was so nice. We had such a great time. We didn't want to leave. The morning oatmeal, bread, and coffee/hot chocolate were great to wakeup. But the whole place was was so well thoughtout. The dog bath was well stocked with dog towels and shampoo for them. There were beutiful flowers throughtout. I normally find something that could be improved upon-- but they really did such a great job. My kids LOVED the swings, and the smores kit. I appreciated the fire valet, and wood on site. They made camping easy and relaxing, and the four of us cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
This place is magnificent! Staff is friendly, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, everything is clean! We enjoyed every bit. The family tent for our dog was nicely set up with a bed, blanket and two bowls. They have fresh cut flowers in all common areas. Grill worked great, games to rent at the office and the fire wood service was excellent. We made it to yoga one of the morning with a break in the couples and some morning sunshine was the cherry on top.

Yelp
First time going glamping and glad it was at Mendocino Grove. I wanted to get away from all the smoke happening around The Bay and glad Mendocino isn't affected by it. I actually booked my trip last month and most availabilities were on the weekdays, which was fine because that means there would be less people, since we're also going through covid. My stay here was amazing. The glampground was beautiful and the tents were so cute! All staff members were extremely nice and accommodating. There's breakfast provided in the morning but only yogurt and fruits, and coffee, hot cocoa, and tea. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean and I wasn't too worried about sharing. There are several beaches and walking trails nearby and even cute little towns nearby to walk around too so it's not completely in the middle of a forest. This trip was a great intro to stay in the wilderness. I'm down to try camping now hahaha. Thank you Mendocino Grove, you haven't seen the last of me! ;)

Yelp
Truly one of the best spots for glamping/camping. As a kid my parents would take us camping. And while Im all up for "roughing it" I also very much appreciate being a bit boogie. Having things like showers, bathrooms, tents, and heated blankets just make the adventure so much more comfortable. Mendocino Grove has all these things. For those who aren't big on camping but want to try they offer great kits that include things like cooking equipment, s'mores ingredients and even offer to have someone light your campfire for you. The location is gorgeous. There are lots of beautiful sites to see, hikes and out door activities offered near by as well. The whole site just goes above and beyond with all the little extra details they have too. I'm constantly telling friends and family that if they are looking for a great relaxing and fun getaway this is definitely the place to go.

Yelp
Hospitality with a capital H! Surpassed all my expectations. Phenomenal experience for everyone that went (6 adults and 4 children). We enjoyed the evening music around the campfire, the morning coffee/hot chocolate & yogurt parfaits, the fresh flowers around the bath houses, hiking the fern gully trail, the corn hole games, naps on the hammock, the nature hike with Tim, & the morning yoga with Michelle. ALL staff were very friendly and helpful and truly added to our wonderful vacation experience. Can't say enough great things about this place!

Yelp
My fiancé and I decided to bring our Frenchie Leo along with us to Mendocino Grove to experience glamping for his first time and to celebrate his birthday super last minute. Mendocino Grove is only open 7 months out of the year along with limited spots available so it can be a little tricky! We've had Mendocino Grove on our bucket list for nearly two years, so you can only imagine how excited we were to be there. From the moment we called and inquired about which tent to book all the way to the very end, we had such an amazing experience! Not just because they're dog friendly and have amazing amenities/beautiful campgrounds... but the best part of it all is their AMAZING STAFF. The manager Jake and his staff (Sinead, Jackson, Carolina and Sarah) go above and beyond to provide guests with an unforgettable experience. Loved how they were all so quick/attentive, helpful, friendly and super accommodating. They all seriously made it hard for us to want to even leave. But unfortunately because my fiancé had work on Saturday we had to say our goodbyes! It forsure won't be our last, matter of fact we discussed how we would make coming up to Mendocino Grove an annual tradition of ours! STAFF SHOUTOUTS: SINEAD: Thank you for helping me choose the Premium Tent for our stay-- you were 100% right, N-9 is a beauty and I would book her again! You definitely convinced me and I'm glad it was all genuine instead of an upsell/false advertising for the bare minimum. Loved the ocean view, privacy, and space N-9 had! We walked around the campgrounds to compare it to others and we agreed that we had one of the best ones! JACKSON: Thank you for being super quick to respond even if it was 9 minutes to the office closing. It was super nice that you helped point out where it was on the map, provided another option that had light late at night, informed us on breakfast hrs/options and reassured us that we weren't a disturbance. CAROLINA: Sweet Carolineeee, just like the song! You are the absolute f*cking best. Thank you for the personal food/shop/spots recommendations, taking our family photos, and being such a great time all around. The vibes you bring are *IMMACULATE* and you have such an amazing aura. We seriously came back just to say bye to you because you literally left us debating to call out and extending-- we wanted to stay! No amount of words can describe how happy we were by your hospitality and attention to detail. JAKE, SARAH, CAROLINA: Thank you for showing our dog all the love and cuddles for his birthday. Leo picked up your vibes/ energy so well and was a happy doggo! He had the best time! The past month has been extremely rough dealing with his recent diagnosis of Vestibular Disease and being told that his survival rate is low. But that's why we wanted to do something special for him as a family and make the most out of it. Thankfully as of right now, he's doing better but everything is uncertain. Regardless we're thankful for the love you showed him on his possible last month, We'll never forget that. OUR EXPERIENCE: It was love at first sight! - Check in started at 4 PM & Check Out at 11 AM - Quiet hrs start at 10 PM - Located next to Big River and Catch a Canoe! - Designated Parking spot assigned close to our campsite with the number - Strong Wi-Fi/Signal in Campgrounds with the provider of T-Mobile. - Loved how our tent was set in a private spot with a beautiful ocean view you could walk to! - Thankful for the lanterns with how dark it got at night to help make our way up to the showers and sauna. - Never thought I'd see myself utilizing the heated pad since I'm usually a hot sleeper but put that to use after s'mores and some cider at 1 am and slept like a baby. - There is a communal BBQ throughout the campground with gas grills. The campground staff keeps these areas maintained, clean, and ready. We were also told that if you need help setting up, you can just shoot them a call/text and they'll assist ASAP! Wished we brought some meats to BBQ etc to use the grill. We'll definitely do that next time! Firewood/ s'mores/camp kit is also available for purchase! - Pet Fee: $35 with a limit to 2 dogs, Big plus: they have a dog park and dog wash station available in one of the bathhouses. They're pretty much allowed everywhere as long as they're kept on leash, behaved and most importantly pick up after them! - Showers are well kept and luxe! Has both hot/cold water and provides shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bathhouses restrooms and showers with extra towels along with doors and locks instead of a tacky shower curtain. Also located next to massage/sauna! Sauna has limited hrs! - BFAST: oatmeal with a topping bar & also offer coffee, tea, and hot cocoa! - Yoga @ 9:30 am& also have live music + seafood paella on Friday nights! If this review doesn't speak volumes to how much we love Mendocino Grove, we recommend you to visit them whether you're new to glamping or not!

Yelp
We went here for an engagement party and it was an awesome experience! The tents were spacious and we loved the electric mattress which was very cozy at night. The staff were friendly and helpful, always there to answer questions or help out and the text messaging service is excellent and speedy where a staff member will respond / help out in the blink of an eye! The campgrounds were great with plenty of space, fire pits, areas to chill, clean bathrooms / showers, and even spas. One major item for improvement: - a couple of fellow campers had issues with raccoons going into their tents, as they crawled underneath the fabric of the main entrance - the tent should be fully sealed so no bugs / raccoons can get in so easily Overall, would say this was a top notch camping experience and I would certainly go back. The attention to detail put into the campground is great, with games for kids and adults alike, beautiful campsites, and some of the best hot chocolate I've ever had!

Yelp
(Stayed 08/2021 )Long overdue review! Love this place! It was our first time camping/glamping and it was incredible. We went to celebrate my birthday month there and didn't regret it. They have everything you need to get you comfortable but we brought our stuff. Our little one enjoys the s'mores and loves the idea of camping. It got so cold at night, thank goodness they have a heated pad to keep us warm in the bed. They have a bathroom and shower room. They also provide complimentary breakfast, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. We bought our firewood which was enough for one night.

Yelp
So this is glamping. It is ridiculous in the best way. Need a fire started? Call the campfire valet. Don't like pitching a tent? Have a roomy, pre-built "tent" (more like a cabin). Cold at night? Beds are heated. There are chargers on the lamps on the nightstand. Luxury bath products in the showers. In the mornings, come down to the meadow for your coffee, cocoa, and Greek yogurt granola fresh fruit bowls. Ridiculous and wonderful. We didn't make use of the valet and built our own fires, three of them over the two nights. I recommend buying one firewood bundle per fire, as we prepaid for one, then ended up buying two more. We were in the "W" section in a standard tent that was still pretty tucked away and private. The staff were so friendly and helpful. When we asked for a bucket for putting out our fire, one magically appeared at our tent. When we asked to turn on lights, string lights magically began to glow, adding to the nighttime ambiance. They even provided us with tea on request. We had an amazing time. I don't think we'd come back in November - it was incredibly chilly - but we are looking ahead to come back in summer. We'll probably build our own fires then too.

Yelp
Worth going out of the way for -- extraordinary glamping experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to solve any problem that you have. The tent is very straightforward, but everything is quite excellent. We didn't bring our children (weekend away!) but things were incredibly child friendly. We were worried because our tent was near Route 1, but there were no (sound) problems. We will be coming back.

Yelp
I will give this place 5 stars for what it is. This is glamping. So if you're a big camping person (as my fiancé and I are) go with this into the mindset that you're here for glamping and ignore the price. This place is expensive, but it's a good place if you don't wanna worry about camping logistics or just want more comfort while doing so. The tents are very spacious which was nice and they're also really clean and have pretty much everything you could need. A great touch was the mattress warmers which was helpful b/c it can get really cold during the night time. The bathrooms and showers were super clean. I did wear shower slippers despite this but the amenities were well kept. They do include body soap, shampoo and conditioner as well. Also a blow dryer in the bathroom! They also have a new sauna in the lower bathhouse which you can sign up for free private sessions. The common area was great. It had disc golf, bocce ball, refreshments and hammocks. Most importantly WiFi, b/c I didn't have much signal there (Verizon). My fiancé was able to work from the common area on his laptop so luckily the WiFi was strong. They also serve daily free yogurt parfaits here for breakfast with coffee, tea and hot cocoa. I enjoyed the random lawn chairs spread through the grounds which face pretty views. There also is a yoga deck which I utilized to do some personal workouts. They also have firewood delivery and free help to start your fires if you're new to campfires. What I appreciate the most is the customer service. The people are so nice and you can text them to get info/order firewood. When the office is closed there is a camphost that could be of service. Also there's a lot of add ons you can add to your reservation like a camp box which includes camping essentials or a s'mores kit, etc. There is also a Safeway about 15 min away if you need other things. All in all, good places for a *glamping* experience if you're willing to pay the price.

Yelp
This was our visit Glamping experience. It was a night we can talk about. The host was very friendly and explained everything in detail. Our spot was great. We had a fire and cooked are own meal. We put everything in the bear proof box and our drinks in the ice chest that was provided. But the raccoons knew what was in it. Because in the middle of the night they kept trying to tip it over and also get in our tent. We had a broom to keep them away. Needless to say not much sleep. Woke up to an oatmeal and muffin breakfast which was quit good then headed on the road home. Would I do it again? Maybe. lol

Yelp
Pretty but not young kid/family friendly. More for an adult/older teen getaway. Clean facilities, good amenities. If you're looking for a relaxing trip, this is your place. If you're wanting a fun trip, I say look elsewhere.

Yelp
An amazing experience all around. You can tell a lot of thought when into planning this location and idea. All the amenities (even more than you really need for camping) have been thought of. Tim (I hope I got his name right) the camp host was so kind and excellent with providing all the needed information. Each tent and camping plot are unique in their own ways, but the one thing that really stuck out...the beds. The beds are so amazing. I slept in the most I ever have in a long time; it truly made the weekend better. I will be back again real soon...whenever I don't feel like pitching my own tent.

Yelp
We had the most amazing time glamping in Mendocino Grove the past couple of days. The tents are so cozy with heated blankets, fresh and super fluffy towels for use, and a grill, fire ring, and picnic table at every site. They have firewood for sale at $10/bundle and a campfire concierge to call if you don't want the hassle of starting the fire yourself. I really like how they have rolling carts that you can borrow to transport your things to and from your campsite, so you don't have to carry everything! There's communal areas with a tea bar and coffee/light snacks in the morning, yoga on the weekends + Monday. You can check out games, play bocce ball, or lounge around in the hammocks set up around the campgrounds. Mendocino village is conveniently located only a minute or so away so it's easy to go to town to get supplies or grab a bite if you prefer not to cook. Big River beach is also really close, where you can rent bikes and canoes. If you decide to rent a canoe it's a good idea to rent them in the morning when the currents are gentle. My boyfriend and I headed 17 minutes up to Fort Bragg to try out the rail bikes offered by the Skunk Train - highly recommend! The bathhouse at Mendocino Grove is clean and well-mainted; I like how they have both open air and indoor showers and also individual bathroom stalls. Shampoo and body wash are also provided in each shower stall. Mendocino Grove truly makes camping a luxurious experience and so convenient, comfortable, and relaxing! The weather was also perfect when we stayed, definitely recommend booking during the month of August. I can't wait to be back!

Yelp
We Absolutely LOVED this place! Friendly staff, clean and a really nice touch on the details. Our site was quiet, beds we're very comfortable. I have no complaints about this place. Family and pet friendly. Close to restaurants, ocean, hiking etc. I would definitely come back. Thanks for doing a superb job!

Yelp
I can cross this off my bucket list :) Seriously tho, glamping was worth every penny. I LOVED the heated beds and felt so safe here. The staff were super kind and helpful, which made our experience even better. My girlfriends and I stayed for a night (~$300). We regretted not bringing things to cook because there weren't too many restaurants nearby, so next time we'll for sure pack better. The campground is spacious and has several areas for you to relax, plus plenty of hammocks. Bathrooms were really nice and clean. There was a trail right in front of our site, which led to an amazing spot overlooking the ocean. One day wasn't enough. I'd need to spend at least two nights here!

Yelp
I highly recommend this place for campers who prefer a bit more comfort & luxury. When we entered, the check in process was quick. We were able to park our cars next to our tents. We had a camp fire pit & picnic table in front of our lovely tents. - --There are heated mattresses. --There are outlets to charge devices in the tent. --There is strong WiFi connection in common areas. --Quiet hours after 10pm -- Fire wood costs $10 for a big bulk. --Clean & hot showers (indoor and outdoor) --Free breakfast

Yelp
It was amazing!!! Will definitely go back. It was great because we could bring our dogs. We went towards the end of the season so it was a bit cold, but they had electrical blankets but I still would bring extra layers, beautiful beaches, and hiking areas. I have to say the food that was in the local town was amazing as well.
