This river crossing served many pioneers to settle the lands around Teton mountains. It's located just next to the historical wooden church.

You do need a park pass to get to it, however it is very cool. They have kept the building's well maintained. Lots of information on the history of Grand Tetons.

A true piece of American history! Menor traveled the Snake River from Ohio to Montana and eventually settled here, which today is preserved wonderfully as a Historic Landmark. Several descendants of the original settlers continue to share their ancestors' stories within the district, so be sure to listen in and enjoy the lively conversations.

Pretty views and a nice spot to unwind from the chaos of the park. None of the buildings were open. I didn't know they were supposed to be until just now reading other reviews lol. We ended up here because the parking lot wasn't full. You're able to learn more about the history here.

For those who like trips back in time, this is a good stop to see what life was like back in the 1800's. The exhibits are well cared for and there is some great information about the area. Kids might find it a bit dull but there is still some cool things to see.

Lots of history happened in this area of the park and it's why we call this the Grand Teton National Park. A very secret meeting took place in Maud Nobles cabin with Horace Albright, Superintendent of Yellowstone and local residents to preserve the area as a park. In 1894, Menor purchased the land and realized a ferry boat was vital to cross Snake River for early settlers isolated by the mountains. A replica of the ferry boat can be seen here. Also Menors General Store. Maud Noble purchased Menors Ferry in 1915. Also close by is the Chapel of the Transfiguration. Maude Noble donated the land in 1925 for this Episcopal Church. Spectacular views of Tetons.

If you visit the chapel go there otherwise I wouldn’t say it’s a must in your visit. The shop is closed and you don’t get more than that
