Yelp
Went here twice. it's not really a farmers market. It's a collection of somewhat higher end/foody eateries and bars. Here in L.A. a place like this would be awful but with the casual, everybody in their own vibe, openly friendly and refreshingly lack of posing ambience along with the good food and drink I had a really good time, I was there solo and had several nice conversations with people with whom I shared the communal tables. The food I had, I forget the name, was good without being crazy expensive. Across the way was a stand that did real craft beers and distilled liquors. I tried two craft beers, Patito and Jefe, both made in Yucatán. They won't replace your favorite craft brew, probably, but they were better than most American supermarket brands and WAY better than the mass market Sol or Tecate swill that we have all suffered while in Mexico. Price for these given the high-end, hip downtown crowd and location was more than fair. For the beer, around $3.50 each. Next trip to Mérida, I'll be back for the food, beer and people watching.
