Mercado Beira-Rio

Pretty size-able food court right hr along the strip. I was staying at the Hilton so just a 5 minute walk away. I found this on google maps and though I’ve walked by several times before, I couldn’t really tell it was an eatery from the outside. Tons of selections as well as beer and wine stands. Super clean and modern layout made for a comfortable and moderately priced meals.

We visited Mercado Beira‑Rio for dinner on our last night in Porto and had a really enjoyable experience. We tried seafood rice, pizza, a fresh dragonfruit juice, and a couple of beers, and everything was fresh and tasty. Even on a Wednesday night, the market was lively with groups enjoying wine tastings, people browsing pastry shops, and families and friends sharing meals. The atmosphere felt like an elevated food court, casual but full of energy, and a fun place to soak in the riverside vibe of Gaia. Of course, this is not fine dining and you will not find restaurant-level cuisine here, but it is far above typical fast food with a great variety of options to suit different tastes. The market is a perfect spot for a relaxed dinner where you can try a mix of Portuguese and international flavors, enjoy drinks, and simply have a good time in a vibrant social setting.

We had a fantastic experience here. For a very reasonable price, we enjoyed a tasting set of 5 different Port wines. For lunch, we ordered the pepperoni pizza for only €8, and it was surprisingly good for the price. ​We actually stumbled upon this place while looking for other wine bars nearby, and we’re so glad we did! It’s a much more cost-effective way to enjoy local wine and food in a casual atmosphere. Highly recommended if you're looking for quality on a budget!

Prefer here much more than the Time Out Market in Lisbon . Nice vibe and very reasonable price for food , cheaper than normal restaurants but food is nice . the shrimp rice is the best I had these days in Portugal.

Very cozy place with a bunch of different food and drink options. Good tap and bottle beer available (personally recommend the Coruja IPA). Took some french fries and pizza (good ones), but they also offer lots of other options. Atmosphere is nice. Cannot reserve spots, first come, first served.

The food was excellent, reasonable, and very tasty. Such a lively local food court with freshly-made food. There are tables inside and outside. You order, pay, and take your food to your seats. Very good place to have lunch.

We had a very good octopus salad and glass of vino verde. We sat outside at the picnic tables. There will be smokers outside but the inside was packed!

Best octopus we got in Portugal! There is a seafood stall with incredible quality product at a really cheap prices, also loved the ones with fresh fruits. Trully recommended if you want to grab a fee bites and try different things.
