Pretty large public market that carrying just about everything you'll find in your traditional supermarket plus . But the costs are lower and haggling is permitted. There are multiple food vendors serving pretty much anything in foods & beverages. I consider it a 'must-see' as you will find things not available anywhere else.

This traditional covered market celebrates its 99 years of activity in 2024. It is popular with tourists and locals alike and it is one of the very few popular places in Cusco that is NOT a tourist trap, at all. In fact you can find everything here from food to souvenirs, and what they all have in common is that prices are much lower than anywhere else in the city, often 50% less. As a tourist you can appreciate the wide offering of traditional foods, like the multi-colored Andean corn (Maiz) and Andean potatoes, along with many fruits you might have never have seen before (I certainly hadn't). Speaking of fruit, do get a freshly squeezed orange juice inside the market or just outside, from one of the many street vendors and you will not regret it. Highly recommended for something traditional and "real" in such a touristic city.

Excellent market and it's pretty big selling everything you can think of Peruvian. Hand made goods, spices, meat, fruits, vegetables and more. Several small restaurants selling cheap Peruvian food. Also several fruit stands making delicious fresh juice smoothie drinks. You have to try one!! Since our hotel was close to the market we decided to go for a visit. Looks like they sell about anything and everything else you see sold in the streets of Cusco Peru. They do have cheap eats here but also doesn’t look too sanitary as I did get a empanada handed to me with no gloves but the smell of food is everywhere and gets you hungry as you walk around. Great place for photos

This is the most complete market in Cusco. It has a wide variety of products and is rich in local culture. Here you can discover the essence of Peru, from art to food. The best prices.

Had the best cheapest meal. Chicken soup with ‘spicy’. When I went to the market, I saw all the ladies in the stores getting deliveries of their hot lunch from the market from different vendors, so I decided to try it out. This soup was perfect. It was tender chicken breast, with tasty pho with ginger and subtle spices. Adding the picante just took it to another level. I could not finish the entire soup unfortunately. Once done, I asked the chef the cost and was shell shocked to hear 5 Soles. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Neat market experience. This is the main shopping hub for locals in historic central, Cusco and has different rows of vendors, separated by category. There are flowers, artisanal items, meat, bread, cheese, desserts, etc.

Juice freshly made, no sugar and all organic for 9 soles or so. You can also get some cheap local foods. They sell all sorts mostly tourist souvenirs and snacks but some fresh produce too, prob more for locals. Lots of tourist items like you would expect where each stall sells something similar to someone else but with varying prices. Some stalls have items labeled but most do not. You can haggle a bit if you wish. I did feel that the prices here were lower than the actual supermarkets or corner shops on and around the main square when comparing similar items. Overall, worth popping in at least once to soak in the atmosphere. It is a bit touristy as pointed out but not overly so, locals still attend too and it's still open until around 6pm.
