Mercado La Pepa

This is a great place for meeting with friends and family if you all want to eat something different! Plenty of food stalls and choices and all reasonably priced. Huge seating area with fab views as it is rooftop. Great for families with young children as there is plenty to keep them occupied although you do have to pay for it. Very clean.

Strange place! Not much open in the shopping complex in January and you have to go to the roof terrace for the food court with a view! Different food outlets to buy your food and then go and eat on the balcony! Kebabs, pizza, salads and Chinese, large bar area and ice cream, arcades for the kids.

Lovely experience sat watching the sunset. The food market is great and so are the independent bars etc

Excellent place to eat and drink a good wine and/or beer. My favourite one is the Lebanese place. The food is always fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend it

We love La Peppa and visit often. Tonight my husband went to buy ma a white wine and was served by a new lady who took the bottle from the chilled sock and poured a glass of wine which was the end of the bottle with less than half of the usual measure. I said that the measure was small she didn’t know what to do. I then realised that she was being overseen by a man standing inside the opposite stall and I said to him that the wine was not a correct measure and said I was a regular customer.and this was not a correct measure. He then offered a rosé wine when I wished Sauvignon Blanc, in my disgust I said no and walked away. Later on my brother went for a similar wine and had the same problem although this time he was eventually given a proper measure. This is the only place to purchase wine in La Pepa and it’s a shame that this person is a crook. I suspect that he is topping up empty bottles with a cheap wine rather than open a new bottle of the genuine wine, THIS man is destroying the reputation of La Pepa and should be investigated. Ok, so it was midweek but customers deserve good service from the stalls. All others are excellent.

It’s not the food market that we expected( not like the one you can find in Thailand or Taiwan). It’s just some bars and restaurants opened on the top floor, we went there at about 12:30 noon, there were only a few shops that actually opened. Officially it said opening hours is 12 noon. We then decided to eat in a local cafe on the ground floor which is really good, it’s called Cafeteria La Media Luna.

Great to let the kids burn off energy while you have a drink in peace and watch the sunset!

So much choice of menus. Great atmosphere. I strongly recommend!
