Great place to go and explore. Bought produce, ate at one of the local taco stands inside the market. Food is delicious and definitely recommended. Just sit down at a bench and order a few things. We ate everything including fresh salsas.

A great place to buy fresh fruits, vegetables and very tasty and authentic Mexican food. There is a section where artisans sells their beautiful art.

The Mercado of Tepoztlan is amazing. Lots of great produce and food stands. The Pre-Hispanic food is something you should try. It’s something we haven’t found in other place of Mexico we’ve visited during the 4 months we have spent in this country. Food will cost between 1-5 USD and is TOTALLY worth your money. This food It basically a selection of “vegetarian” balls that came all prepared with weeds, flowers, seeds, fruits (& even crickets) from the region and were served with some delicious mole!

A very beautiful place to visit and spend time with your family and enjoy its rich snow, its hills, its people, its food, its warm climate and the hospitality of its people, highly recommended to visit.

Love the Mercado, a lovely walk around with the beautiful scenery of the mountains behind. Great environment and very friendly local people, smells amazing with all those food stalls.

Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience here. My girlfriend and I ate in one of these food stalls, and the food wasn't great. I liked the pancita, but I wish it was spicier. All the rest was gone off. We ordered a Chile relleno, and it was acid and unedible. The tortilla was also very hard and dry. Overall, it's not a great experience. We don't know if we were unlucky and the other stalls were better. The one we ate was called doña something, unfortunately I can't recall the full name. (In front of this one, there was another called doña something).

Incredible experience! Highly recommend for groceries and/or lunch/early dinner. Everything closes early so get there before 4!

I love this place. Food is amazing and Artisan products are great. this is the best way to shop local and support the community.
