The market has a variety of fresh local produce and fruits as well as meats and fish vendors. There are Japanese and Italian quiosks and delicious local pastries.

A foodie dream! So many fresh and unique food options. Much more variety than the central market in the city center. This is where the local chefs go to buy ingredients.

This was a little gem we found in Valencia. It wasn’t too touristy like a few in Madrid. It wasn’t overwhelming yet it had everything you would look for in a market. Prices were definitely local-oriented, didn’t feel like we got ripped off at any point. Walk around, have some jamón, drink a beer, Valencia is on the coast do definitely have some seafood and you’ll be set. Worth noting that we went on a Monday and there was a small flea market set up outside, not sure if it’s everyday but we found a few cool things.

Yelp
Loved this market! Want to live in this neighborhood just so I can shop here on the regular. They have such a great selection of produce, meats, wine, olives, cheese, and all the jamon iberico you need (I need A LOT)--not to mention a solid selection of international items, including the most adorable Japanese stall. Plus they have a little food area where you can grab a coffee or beer or montadito. We walked around for a bit, picked up a bottle of rosé and vermut (both from the Valencia region), and then stopped by the food area for a bite. Ordered a montadito they recommended, which included a few meats and egg (all ingredients fresh from the market), and downed it with a couple beers. A couple other locals were doing the same, and it felt like we were a regular. A great feeling. When in Valencia, definitely check out the Mercado Central (it's amazing), but be sure to also explore the smaller, neighborhood markets like this one.
