Where to Stay in Milan When You Visit in 2025

"The covered Mercato Comunale di Isola is a local market featuring fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and other local gourmet products—great for sampling or buying ingredients if you're self-catering." - Matthew Kepnes

This place holds different events at night. We walked through here on a Friday evening and there were DJs, food for sale etc.

Mercato Comunale Isola on Sunday nights transforms into a vibrant hub of positivity with the Queer Food Village. The atmosphere is filled with good vibes, offering a unique blend of karaoke, games, and dazzling drag shows. The diverse array of activities creates an inclusive and lively experience, making it an ideal spot for those seeking both delicious food and entertaining performances on a Sunday night. The choice of food is different from salty to sweety delights.

What a nice place to grab something to eat or drink, easy to reach from downtown and great variety to choose from.

Chose pasta, beer, and spritz. Good late afternoon stop. Near BAM.

Local neighborhood market, presently running just two or three businesses. An extremely good grocery shop, with excellent quality fruits & vegetables & freshly locally made vegetarian food. & A butcher shop, with excellent offer. Both places with very convenient prices & very kind & effective serving people. Most of the market is empty, hopefully it will soon offer more purchase opportunities. Parking extremely difficult. Nearby the headline of the tram line 33.

I can't remember the names of the places we ate at, but they were all so good. Probably the best gelato we have had. The sushi was really, the pizza was good, the wine was good. It's a great place to feed your whole family if you can't decide on one thing to eat.

Such a nice vibe. Music playing, all sorts of food options available that are all above average. Waited tables if you’d prefer and pricing was actually quite decent.

Lovely small local market. A small but intimate affair with a number of local sellers of food and drinks. Sat at the outside bar in the evening for an Aperol Spritz and enjoyed the atmosphere.
