Had a really wonderful stay. Brooke at the front desk was very helpful and attentive. The restaurant downstairs had an amazing and delicious menu. The beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. The TV had many channels available. Parking was behind the building and very convenient with the rear entrance. Be sure to check in first and then take advantage of the rear entrance when bringing your belongings into the hotel as the front desk is located in the restaurant and might get chaotic if you bring your bags with you.The location was perfect - right in the middle of all the shops we wanted to visit. We will definitely be returning.

Comfy beds, pillows. Had snacks/booze for purchase in room. Clean. Nice black out shades to make room dark. Heating had a fan which I loved turning on for “white noise” in the room. Bar/restaurant downstairs had the best most unique food and drinks. Some of the best food I’ve had. Got two free mimosas for the brunch breakfast and food was again really good. Great service as well all around.

So the room was modern and fairly clean (bathroom floor was noticeably dirty and needed a good mopping) but I got up to shower and no hot water. Waited another 15 minutes and still no hot water. Had to shower in cold/lukewarm water. It’s all stairs. Honestly didn’t notice that on the website but it’s not remotely accessible. My 75 year old mother had to walk up to the 3rd floor with a bad knee. To check in, you have to fight through a line of bar/restaurant patrons who often jam up the tight entranceway. The hallways are unbearably hot, especially after climbing several staircases with suitcases. The food and service in the restaurant was amazing. So many great and unique options. Would go to the restaurant again in a heartbeat but wouldn’t stay in the hotel again.

The Mercer Hotel was an amazing stay in the best location close to everything. The staff was outstanding and excellent customer service they really exceeded my expectations. Very friendly and welcoming. The room was great they had very good leasehold improvements that created a nice ambiance. I will be going back in the future.

The location was excellent and service good. But, the room was awful. We spent two nights and couldn't sleep. The rooms overlooked the residential and industrial downtown, which, fine, terrible view. But an exhaust fan from the kitchen and the air conditioning unit ran constantly and it was impossible to sleep. Further, the toilet leaked, running all night. So, it was an awful stay. Considering we spent upwards of $900 on two nights, I would have expected a better experience.

This was our first time staying at the Mercer Hotel in Stratford. Admittedly, the parking was a bit confusing but once we had that sorted, checking in was easy. The check-in desk is located on the bar side of the building, though, so you will have to climb a set of stairs to get to your room. I can't speak to the other rooms available but we did get a pretty spacious room – the high ceilings and wood floors reminded me a loft. I think the bathroom did sacrifice a bit of its own square footage to accommodate the little extra touches (like a bar area and a little coat area by the front door). While the vanity is off the bedroom area of the room, there isn't much room to maneuver around the toilet/bathtub area. Although there's a pretty lively bar in the building, we didn't hear a thing and had a great night's rest. I'd definitely recommend staying in this hotel if you ever find yourself in Stratford.

This was our first time staying in a hotel above a restaurant. We were.a little nervous that it was going to be noisy with the bar below but it wasn't at all! Its a 14 room boutique with a private entrance. We had the king size room with fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. It was very silent and we liked we could just go down and get food or have It brought up if we wanted too. Beds were comfy and the service was great! I even got a courtesy text saying our room was ready when we arrived. I believe her name was Brooke, greeted us at check in and even had called us before we arrived to make sure we are arriving ok since it was raining fairly heavy. Is the room a little more pricey than what I normally pay? Sure, but it's definitely worth it! We are already planning a trip back and agreed this will be the place to stay. Please note there the parking is in the back (they text you a nap of the parking area) and it's slightly slanted and there are no elevators since it is an older building.

Recently refurbished. No yucky carpet. Very clean. Great towels and linens. Nespresso coffee machines in every room. Tetley tea bags, not awful Mother Parkers like the Best Western down the road. Powdered creamer. Love that they are thinking environmentally; shower gel, hand soap, shampoo & conditioner in a pump bottle, no little plastic bottles cluttering up our landfills. Each room has its own thermostat to control temp. Lots of stairs but can't beat the location. Right in the heart of downtown. Walk to restaurants and some of the theatres.
