Merchants Manor Hotel & Spa

We took advantage of a sunday sleepover offer that we saw advertised. A sunday night stay including a 2 course roast dinner with pudding and breakfast in the morning. Also use of the gym and facilities. We went for a relax. We loved the hotel and welcome we received from all the staff, happy and friendly. Beautiful hotel inside and a short walk from the beach. We arrived an hour before check in and our room was ready, which gave us a bit longer to go and use the gym (which was a good one) and the swimming pool, jacuzzi & steam room. Sadly the jacuzzi wasn’t working, but the pool was lovely and warm and the steam room was good also. Could probably do with a few more relaxing chairs around the poolside or something to hang robes on by the poolside, lots of robes the chairs. Our room was clean and very big, the bed was so comfy, with tea & coffee facilities and a large bottle of water left. The dinner was delicious and pudding, good size portions and service fantastic. The breakfast was the usual juices, coffees, teas, cereals, pastries and toast. Plus hot cooked breakfast including salmon & scrambled egg & my partner had eggs florentine. Parking was easy and free. I would recommend staying here, we will definitely visit again.

My daughter booked my stay at this hotel and from the start its rating went down. The swimming pool was not open due to repairs so they upgraded my room. The option should have been to offer another date when she rang them in the morning but nothing was mentioned. My daughter also paid for an afternoon tea, on the website it shows a lovely selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones, I did not receive this , my tea consisted of 4 tiny scones, cream and jam with a pot of tea. When I looked back onto the sites picture I felt that this was falsely advertised. I was upgraded to a lovely hot tub apartment but the lady forgot my milk and there was no way of contacting the staff unless through a normal phone call. The restaurant is not a restaurant it’s a grazing ground, there are no meals available and have not been for 2 years, falsely advertised. I couldn’t go out as it was Baltic and icy so had no choice but to choose something or starve. The self service didn’t work properly in and out. Overall this place is nowhere near a 8 rating, definitely a 4. The staff were lovely who served me and they were the only plus of this hotel. Very disappointed, my daughter definitely ripped off with pricing.

We stayed here for 3 nights with a sea view room. We were advised that there were a number of stairs to access this and if we’d prefer there was a ground floor room instead. ||The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It is an Edwardian period house which oozed character. ||I can’t fault the staff at the hotel who were brilliant - they were so attentive, polite and helpful.||We also used the pool and had a massage, which I can’t fault. ||Waking distance of Falmouth (10 mins) in an area close to the beaches and University. ||Would recommend and will definitely be coming again.

First time at this hotel for a one night dinner b &b stay with a large party of friends. |Lovely welcome on arrival. Large rooms , beautifully furnished. Dinner and breakfast equally delicious. Very reasonably priced. |Good location for stroll to beaches next morning.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Merchants Manor Hotel as we had a power outage at home following the Storm Goretti. ||We wanted to pass on our thanks to the hotel team for making our stay so lovely, particularly Simon who dealt with our initial query about our room so diplomatically! He found us an alternative room very quickly and made us feel valued as customers.||The bar team was really friendly, along with the restaurant staff at breakfast. The whole team had excellent customer service skills and made us feel very welcome. ||Thank you for such a lovely experience at a slightly tricky time. We're so glad we decided to stay here!

Real little gem of a find - great location to get into town ,,, upgraded on arrival into a lovely sea view room with balcony - bathroom was amazing too ,,, lovely building throughout the Xmas decorations looked lovely - best thing though? The team !!! What a great bunch from top to bottom very helpful / polite and welcoming - really realy impressed with their level of proffesionalism - we would deffo return & recommended to others visiting the area,,, keep up the excellent work you should be very proud of your hotel 🙏🙏

Celebrated our one year anniversary here and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful ensuring our weekend away was perfect. The spa facilities were amazing and the breakfast was delicious. Our room was absolutely stunning with a beautiful balcony view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely too. Thank you to all who made our stay really special.

Such a lovely hotel The room was so comfortable with lots of lovely beautiful toiletries. With white dressing growns in your wardrobe so you can walk down to the stream room and swimming pool in comfort. The staff are so lovely and polite cannot do enough for you nothing is to much trouble.
