We stayed at Merchant’s Manor over the May bank holiday and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which set the tone for a very relaxing stay.||We stayed in Lookout, which was something really special—private, beautifully designed, and with stunning views across the gardens and down to Falmouth. It felt like our own little retreat, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel both luxurious and personal.||Breakfast each morning was a real highlight—plentiful, delicious, and clearly made with care using fresh, local ingredients. The spa facilities were excellent; we particularly enjoyed relaxing in the pool and steam room after a day of exploring. We even made use of the gym, which was impressively high-spec and had everything you’d need for a proper workout.||The location is great—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, but only a short walk from Falmouth town centre and several lovely beaches. It was the perfect base for discovering the area.||Highly recommended for anyone after a high-quality, peaceful stay in Cornwall. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

I booked Merchants Manor as a special birthday celebration for my mum. Communication via email was excellent and Simon replied swiftly to my questions about the Manor. Initially I booked a balcony room and sunday slowdown. However due to the therapist being unwell, meaning we could not have our treatments, we were upgraded to the lookout. I had seen pictures of the look out online so was more than happy about the adjustment. We were beyond happy when we arrived at the manor, the lookout was beautiful and felt so luxurious! The manor itself was clean, smelt lovely and we both felt it had a lot to offer. Delicious breakfast and staff were so friendly, attentive and welcoming! Would definitely stay again!

Went back a second time to Merchants for our first wedding anniversary after having got engaged there 2 years ago. We had the best time. The food was lovely, staff are so polite and friendly and cant do enough for you. We had a really relaxing stay and our room was beautiful. The comfy sofas by the restaurant were a perfect place to sit and read with a cuppa. Will be back again soon.

First time visiting Falmouth for a 2 day break, and yes I would definitely go again. What a difference it makes by choosing an adult only Hotel. Peaceful & quiet. Quick and easy self check in. |There was a slight issue with the room but we were swapped to a much better room there and then. The negatives : the bathtub does make an incredibly loud vibrating sound which was a little annoying & I do like having a fridge in the room and there wasn’t one! |The food menu doesn’t have a lot of options, but fortunately, there’s plenty of places to eat in the town so that’s not too much bother. ||Simon was incredibly helpful and very accommodating. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. |The garden area is quite large, but we didn’t have enough sun to be able to sit outside! |Access to the swimming pool, sauna and gym 7am-9pm. |Great location, both the beach & town is a two minute drive or a 15 minute walk ish! |Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay. I actually wanted to extend, but my partner had other plans but I will hopefully be retuning in the very near future.

We recently stayed at Merchants Manor for my husband's birthday and we cannot recommend them enough. Simon and the team were so friendly and kindly upgraded us to the lookout accommodation as a surprise. They went out of their way to provide thoughtful touches and we're extremely accommodating which made our weekend so memorable. The service was exceptional and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the restaurant. The manor itself is beautiful and it was lovely to hear about the history that has been upheld. We had a massage included as part of our offer which was also great. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Our Sunday sleepover was everything we could have possibly hoped for. On arrival the management and staff ensured we settled into our truly wonderful room. From the impressive bathroom with its free standing roll top bath, very spacious bedroom area and lovely relaxing window seating, which offered magnificent sea views. We took full advantage of the hotel facilities and enjoyed a swim and steam on Sunday and again Monday prior to departing. The pool is an impressive size and along with the changing rooms are immaculately clean. Our evening meal on Sunday was not just a roast, it was a very tasty and well presented dinner. The cauliflower cheese being of particular high quality, to which we gratefully accepted the offer of seconds!!!. Breakfast followed the same high standard of presentation and quality, with everything one would expect and more. Overall a truly relaxing experience in a wonderful hotel, serviced by a team of dedicated staff.

My wife and I wanted to pop out for a quick drink and headed to Merchants Manor which was nearest to us. We ordered a small red wine (125ml) half a larger shandy and some nuts. I know, last of the big spenders !! At least I thought so. The two drinks and nuts came to £19. I know I should have asked beforehand so probably my fault. But really it’s not as if we were in a top London hotel. The small (125ml) glass of red wine was £10. No wonder the bar was completely empty. We won’t be going back in a hurry. We did like the nuts so not all bad.

Wonderful experience x Got upgraded to a lovely room with balcony x Bed was comfortable and toom very spacious. Massages were exceptional and Mia was professional and kind! Simon was very helpful throughout. Staff in the morning were great too. Close to town but still far enough to not be in the centre. Gym used too which was good. Didn't use the other facilities but would go back. Thank you x
