Merchants Manor Hotel & Spa

We stayed here for 3 nights with a sea view room. We were advised that there were a number of stairs to access this and if we’d prefer there was a ground floor room instead. ||The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It is an Edwardian period house which oozed character. ||I can’t fault the staff at the hotel who were brilliant - they were so attentive, polite and helpful.||We also used the pool and had a massage, which I can’t fault. ||Waking distance of Falmouth (10 mins) in an area close to the beaches and University. ||Would recommend and will definitely be coming again.

My husband and I have just returned from a 'Sunday sleepover' package, we really needed a quiet night break away. What an absolute gem this place is, I can't wait to come back. The hotel is beautiful (especially with all the lovely Christmas decorations!). It's very cosy, the room and entire hotel was spotlessly clean. The food (roast and breakfast) was absolutely delicious. Lovely clean pool and sauna. The best part... the staff. What an incredible bunch they were, could not do enough for us. I felt like a VIP! They are so welcoming and kind. |I'd stay here again in a heartbeat and the Sunday sleepover deal is an incredible deal for the service, facilities and food. Thankyou for such a brilliant stay.

A wonderful day spent at this hotel for their 'Spafernoon Tea' experience. Excellent comms pre visit and upon arrival mid-morning we we greeted with lovely warm interiors with beautiful festive decor, as well as extremely pleasant staff who really go the extra mile. Nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed our steam and swim - the pool area was nice and quiet (adults only). Our 30 min massage was really professional and the afternoon tea food was delicious. Simon was super prodessional and really looked after us throughout the day. Ben was also superb in the restaurant. We felt really valued as day guests. We also had a look at some of the rooms which are all tastefully decorated and in great condition. We left late afternoon feeling very chilled knowing that we will be back soon. A great destination for a special occasion or a luxury yet cosy escape!

Such a lovely hotel The room was so comfortable with lots of lovely beautiful toiletries. With white dressing growns in your wardrobe so you can walk down to the stream room and swimming pool in comfort. The staff are so lovely and polite cannot do enough for you nothing is to much trouble.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break here and will be returning in the future. |We were met by very friendly, helpful staff who got us checked in and showed us around. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bed huge! Plenty of towels and hot water, tea making facilities and lovely toiletries in bathroom.|The bar area and breakfast room are beautifully decorated ready for christmas with an open fire making it very cosy.|Breakfast was lovely with everything you could need served by a very nice lady. Really set us up for the day.|Pool and gym very handy after a day out exploring.|Short walk into town which was nice, a bit of a hill coming back but nothing too bad. Lots of shops and eating places to visit.|Would highly recommend!

Just came back from a lovely birthday weekend away and we already can't wait to return. Everything about this hotel is brilliant, the room was lovely, the food was excellent and every member of staff was so friendly and couldn't have done any more for us. We also had full body massages as part of our stay and they were one of the best we've ever had. Incredible Sunday roast! The best part is this place was a good £200 cheaper than other options in the area.

We would like to clarify the lunchtime situation. Date 21st December 2025||All the people with turkey dinners were served as well as the accompanying vegetable dishes. |Four of us at our table had different choices, we had to wait for those meals to be served. |My choice was a salmon steak in a sauce served in a small soup dish. As there was no room for any vegetables, he asked for a plate on which to place them. He asked the waitress three times for a plate, this request was ignored until finally a very small plate eventually arrived. By now the salmon was luke warm. I politely asked for the salmon to be changed for a hot dish. When this was replaced what was left of the vegetables on the table had gone cold. At this point my wife dispared at me ever getting a hot meal at all. My wife approached the waitress complaining of the unsatisfactory service. Shortly after this the owner came and spoke to my wife and said she had upset the waitress and he would not have his staff upset. He finished by saying he wanted us to leave. One of our party made an effort with the owner to resolve the situation. It seemingly didn’t work, so we left. All of this could have easily been resolved if management had asked “what do we need to do to fix this?”

Wanted to share our wonderful experience we had today on our mid week spa pamper day. Staff were very friendly and excellent service given to us. They ensure our day was a day to remember!!|The hotel itself is architectural beautiful. The reception, library, restaurant are decorated in lovely colours and with the Xmas Trees and lights.|Would remember this hotel and facilities.
