The Ravioles de Royans was so good that even after it was all gone, I found myself scraping the bowl for the last bit of cream sauce. Having both the Seabass Ceviche and the Angus Beef Ribeye made for a great balance—the Ceviche was refreshing while the Ribeye was richer and more indulgent. I totally scraped up the Ceviche sauce too. Not a drop was left. The wines were lovely as well. The Chocolate Cake was moist, and the sweetness was nicely balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed, thanks largely to the servers who were all really friendly and cheerful—especially Joel, whose contagious smile and bubbly personality really stood out. When I called earlier to change my reservation time, the lady who answered the phone was also very friendly and helpful. Street parking can be tricky, but there’s a hotel opposite with basement parking that’s only about a 3-minute walk away. Overall, a really great experience.

I recently tried the three course set lunch at Merci Marcel and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. I chose the soup, the steak and the chocolate cake, and each course was beautifully prepared. The soup was a wonderful beginning. It was comforting, well seasoned and full of flavour without feeling too heavy. It set the tone perfectly for the rest of the meal. The steak was the highlight. It was tender, juicy and cooked exactly the way I wanted. The accompanying sides and sauce complemented it perfectly and made the dish feel refined yet satisfying. To finish, the chocolate cake was rich, smooth and indulgent. It was just the right portion to end on a sweet note without feeling overwhelming. The service was friendly and unhurried, and the relaxed French cafe ambience made the whole lunch feel like a small escape. For the quality of the food and the overall experience, the set lunch offers great value. I will definitely return.

We had a lovely breakfast at Merci Marcel in Singapore. The space is beautifully designed, with a charming indoor area and a lush, relaxing outdoor terrace. Even without a reservation, we were seated promptly and received friendly, attentive service throughout. The menu is well-curated with plenty of great breakfast options; everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. A solid recommendation for anyone looking for a quality breakfast spot in the city with great atmosphere.

I came here for a ‘solo dinner’ and I was so well taken care of. Special compliments to Val, who was always attentive to my every need, making suggestions of food that went well with what I was already ordering (she’s got an eye for detail). The host (I didn’t catch his name) was also great. The food was really good, not too heavy but filling enough. The wine was great. One recommendation I would give is to include a section of sides in the menu. I had the “Tarte Flambeé #1”, which was good but it could go well with a side (like a side salad, a bruschetta or fries). Just something to improve on what’s already good. I didn’t take photos of my food (I was too hungry!) but I did of my martini at the beginning of the meal. Finally, their terrace is lovely. Nothing like sitting there on a warm Singapore evening.

The quality of food was below what we were expecting given the high review rating. The ribeye steak was 'ok' at best. It lacked seasoning and flavour - tasted like it had been cooked on a frying pan with a bit of oil without any seasoning. A good ribeye steak should be cooked in generous amount of butter and seasoning. It was quite bland and tasted more like rump, not ribeye. It came with fries and salad which were also below par. Very dry dish i would not recommend. No sauce to compliment the steak other than some salad dressing. The chicken pasta dish was also bland and lacked flavour, chicken was very soft like it had been boiled rather than pan fried or grilled. Would I recommend it? No. They add on a non negotiable 20% to the bill. An expensive dinner for very basic quality of food. Very nice atmosphere and welcoming staff however.

Was looking around for a place to host my guests from Australia and decided to give this place a try. Service was great and I like the fact that they even bring new crew members and introduce them to the guest, which is rather inclusive. Food was great and the price was due to us having a bottle of white wine. Didn’t manage to try the dessert, which is a pity. Definitely a place with great pity that comes from the positive service by the crew. Thank you.

This beautiful French restaurant is at a great location, you can feel the French atmosphere as well. The food is 10/10 everything was on point. The coffee was also great and the service was outstanding, special thanks to Sukh our waiter. Will definitely come back.

We got stuck here escaping the rain, and Nora completely saved the evening. Her hospitality was phenomenal: she welcomed us, secured a table, and quickly got us drinks, letting us avoid the Friday evening downpour in comfort. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it served as a perfect, relaxed launching pad for moving on to other spots in the area later.
