I’m usually too lazy to write reviews, but after tonight, I felt compelled to write one.
I was actually having a perfectly fine day until two friends I had dinner plans with decided to bail on me. I had reserved a table for 7pm and reminded them (not for the first time) to be punctual. By 7:30pm, they were still nowhere to be seen. When I called, I was hoping for at least an apology, but instead things escalated, and they told me they wouldn’t turn up if I couldn’t wait—and somehow got upset with me for being upset about their lateness. 😞
I’d already rushed down to make it on time and didn’t want to waste my reservation or let the situation completely ruin my evening, so I decided to dine alone.
That’s when Steven and the team truly made my evening.✨
After witnessing the whole situation, Steven was incredibly kind and compassionate. He offered me a napkin when he saw me in tears, checked in on me throughout the meal, and made sure everything was okay. These may seem like small gestures, but they meant so much in that moment. 🥰
It’s hard to put into words how comforting it was to receive such warmth from a stranger I had just met, especially after feeling so let down by people I’ve known for years. When it was time to settle the bill, Steven even insisted on giving me an additional discount and a complimentary dessert 🍮. I was extremely grateful and offered a tip, which he politely declined, asking me to visit again instead—which I definitely will (and with better friends next time). 😎
To Steven and the team (my apologies for saying “team/crew”—I’m terrible with names and wasn’t wearing my contacts), thank you for showing such genuine kindness and compassion to a total stranger. You made sure I didn’t go home with a heavy heart.🥺
Merci 💖
