Mercure Bendigo Schaller

A wonderful family stay yet again at this very pleasant hotel in the heart of Bendigo. The staff go over & above to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. Young & older staff were very well trained in hospitality - a rarity today. It's clean, modern & a plus if you're an Accor Member. Nothing is a problem! Can't wait for our next visit.

We were greeted by professional staff who checked us in within a matter of minutes. The room and view were great! Comfortable, clean, fully appointed and with a balcony! We dined downstairs on a number of occasions during our stay. Everything was truly hospitable. I know we'll be back for another special occasion.

A very enjoyable stay , the art really adds to the experience. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The website advertises " vegetarian options" but it's really slim pickings if you want a vegetarian dinner. The room has plates and cutlery for two and microwave but only one chair, so it's not at all comfortable to eat a takeaway. Gym is well-equipped

The rooms are small, but we found it comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the cafe was fine. There are also free movies off the TV. The parking in front of the hotel is perhaps limited, but there is an overflow parking area behind the hotel. You need to take a ticket from the machine, but reception can ensure that there are no extra charges. The one warning is finding the place. You need to turn into the hospital gates and then the hotel is clearly on the right. This is not marked on Lucan Street and I have driven by it twice before I understood the system.

Beautiful hotel. Great friendly staff. The cafe /restaurant downstairs also great. Rooms are small but has everything and comfortable beds. We didn’t spend much h time in rooms so it wasn’t a problem. Will stay again.

Great location, a little walk into Bendigo centre for parks, restaurants, pubs and live music. Clean and cosy. Staff were welcoming and had all the little quirky touches of a luxury night away. Including complementary bikes to explore the town. Bedrooms were a little too cosy and would have liked enough space to roll out a yoga mat to do morning stretches and beds were a little too saggy to be comfortable after a day of walking or riding. 'Free movies' were unavailable when attempted to watch on TV. Room was clean and the art work added a joyful essence to the stay. Lounge area was comfortable, and check out of 11am was appreciated.

Genuinely one of the best accommodations I've stayed in. The art vibe is all throughout the hotel, with paintings on the wall and giant pots of paint/brushes outside. The bed was comfy, and the shower was great! The only negative is the parking situation - if you park behind the building, it's a bit of a walk in the garden to be able to get back to the front.
