Lovely location, opposite the seafront. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I was with my best friend celebrating her 60th Birthday. I had asked for our room to be decorated with banners and balloons and this was done beautifully. Marianna also arranged for a bottle of Prosecco to be delivered to our room and the new lady on reception (apologies, I can’t remember her name), took our luggage to our room. The breakfast was delicious and there was a great selection of food to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday getaway and we loved it. We were greeted warmly at reception and were given a free room upgrade as part of our stay — we didn’t catch the name of the lovely staff member who put us in the balcony room, but would really like to thank her for the kindness. The room was great, very clean, it had a view of the sea and it was nice to get fresh air into the room. Location is wonderful, so central in Brighton or Hove, meaning we could get anywhere by foot. We’ve been a couple of times and the lobby has had an uplift in recent months too. The hotel keeps getting better!

It was ok stay for the purpose I was visiting Brighton for. It was walking distance from the convention I was visiting and there are a lot of food places around. The carpet on the floor wasn't the cleanest when I arrived, the bathroom was really really narrow and I could barely closet the shower door. I'm not too big so it wasn't too much of a problem but I can't imagine how a bigger person would fare in that shower. My view was supposed to be "inland view". Well the window, that couldn't be opened was to wall. There was a tiny sliver of light coming in from the top but that's it. The room might as well had no window at all. Most of the staff were kind and accommodating. Breakfast was acceptable but not great and sometimes I found dirty cutlery on the table I sat down to. It was an ok stay but I don't think I would stay at the hotel again.

I have recently returned from a weekend stay at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel. Firstly...the good...location is perfect as it is right opposite the sea and a 15 minute walk to the Pier. Also for keen runners the Parkrun starts at the beach huts about 500 metres away. The staff are highly attentive - especially Akos, who on Sunday evening was pretty much covering the bar and also the restaurant whilst we were dining. He remained calm and unflustered and he should be congratulated on this. Also there was a very nice man in the restaurant ( who only worked part time and had worked there for 30 years ). He was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast and dinner were of a decent standard and enjoyed the food - although dinner was a bit salty. The decor on the ground floor is very pleasant too and quite welcoming. Now onto the not so good. The room was tiny - for the three of us we struggled. No storage space for clothes and coats just a few shelves on a rack. Two power points in the whole room and the kettle lead was short so had to use it on the floor! Breakfast on the Monday morning was carnage. It started off as table service which took far too long so that went out of the window and it turned into a buffet service. I hope to visit Brighton again soon but won't be staying at this hotel again.

As an older traveler I can say that the staff at this hotel were amongst the most helpful I’ve ever experienced. We were allocated a room in the mews section of the hotel- which had stairs leading to the bathroom and was essentially a risk of falls. The staff changed our room with minimal fuss and were very helpful. When it came to requiring help from housekeeping the lady that stands out, is Aileen . Nothing was to much trouble, great service with a big friendly smile 😃 The hotel is positioned on the seafront about 15 minutes walk from the centre. Lovely location. We enjoyed the bar for a drink on return from the city each evening ( again, seafront facing) The only negative is to say that the area leading to the Mews bedrooms would benefit from a refurbishment.

Upon arrival the hotel is so pretty. Love the additional features/decor, made me nervous because we took our 4 year old, but i neednt of worried. Staff were so lovely - polite, happy to help, very good with our child. The actual room was clean, spacious enough, huge bathroom and all amenities (drinks, hair dryer, iron, safe etc). We were more than happy with our double bed and single for our child. We did include breakfast, which we were glad about. We stayed on a Friday evening, so it was Saturday morning about 9.30/10; peak time, when we went for breakfast. They managed to seat us and the buffet variety was brilliant - cooked breakfast, fruit, cereal, pastries, toast, variety of juice as well as hot drinks. Would definitely recommend. The hotel also had a function the evening we stayed, but this did not affect us at all, and we were only on level 2. The only difficulty is parking, but again we got lucky and managed to get the remaining spot in their small car park.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel by the beachfront. The location was perfect, with beautiful views and such a relaxing atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful they really set the tone for my visit. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warm approach made me feel instantly at ease. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and the whole experience felt special. The food they are serving at the moment was excellent fresh, tasty, and exactly what you want during a stay by the sea. The bar staff during the day were fantastic as well: professional, attentive, and they made me feel truly appreciated as a guest. It was exactly the kind of break I was hoping for, and I left with only the best memories. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Brighton.

Yelp
After a long work day at I arrived at 21:45 to find the restaurant closed at 21:30 It's a hotel opposite the sea so if you want a good location to see some local life and to explore the back streets of Brighton you could do worse than her. Parts of the hotel feel dated, walking along the ground floor corridors, inside the lift. My room was on the 3rd floor, not with a sea view but I wasn't here for the view and I'm sure if you ask for one when booking you might get one. My room was small but functional so no complaints from me. The bath/shower room was fresh so I guess an update has taken place in recent years. For an over night stay it works well, travelling light for work means not a lot of baggage which is good as I'm not sure what you would do with a suitcase! The staff I met was polite even though she couldn't get the kitchen opened for me but allowed me to order some food via Deliveroo, at least I could get some food! If you come with your own car the car park at the rear of the hotel is tiny, you've been warned!'

Yelp
I had my reception here last year in August. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating and kind - examples being supplying a fish dish only for my Mum, and keeping my brother's meal hot whilst my little niece had a meltdown. I didn't have to lift a finger all day, the hotel staff ensured the decorators had everything they needed, the room looked beautiful, the food was amazing, and the events coordinator even bought myself and my husband a drink. Only downsides were that the rooms were very warm with no air con (although staff immediately provided a fan) and were a little tatty for some of our guests. Lovely hotel overall :)
