Mercure Bucharest City Center

Had a really great stay at the Mercure Bucharest City Center. The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and in a perfect location for getting around, but what stood out most was how lovely the staff were. Reception were friendly and welcoming from the start, and a special mention has to go to Alexandra, who was absolutely brilliant — warm, helpful and genuinely went out of her way to make things easier for us during our stay. It’s those small moments of kindness that really make a difference. Would happily stay here again and definitely recommend.

Perfect for organizing small events in the center of Bucharest! We recently hosted an event at Mercure Bucharest City Center, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel’s central location in Amzei Square, just a short walk from Piata Romana metro station, was extremely convenient for all participants and contributed significantly to the high attendance. The organization was exemplary. The event was clearly signposted from the entrance, making navigation effortless for guests. The meeting room was spacious and perfectly set up the evening before, with excellent technical equipment. The acoustics were impressive — we didn’t even need a microphone, yet everyone in the room, including members of the press, could hear perfectly. The coffee break and lunch were delicious and very well presented, receiving great feedback from participants. Congratulations to the banqueting and events team for their professionalism and attention to detail. Special thanks go to Monica Rusu, Director of Sales and Larisa Budaca, the Hotel Manager, who consistently ensure that every event we organize at this hotel is a true success. Mercure Bucharest City Center is a reliable partner for high-quality, well-organized business events, and we confidently recommend it.

Nothing to complain about, would come back there anytime. My family and I had a great stay. Location is ideal, walking distance to lots of attractions and restaurants but also well connected by public transport. There’s even a playground tucked away between the buildings. Room was quiet and spacious and continental breakfast was varied and plentiful. Water cooler on the hallway on each floor was also a nice touch, we drink a lot of water and that made things easier. The staff was lovely, they even upgraded our room free of charge to prestige (some free drinks included from the minibar, which we didn’t use anyway, but still a nice gesture from Alexandru).

The service was wonderful, the staff are very helpful and kind. Additionally their breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety. Service here was excellent and I’d recommend them to anyone wanting to truly experience Romania’s capital. The rooms were very clean and pristine with a brilliant view over Bucharest’s city centre. Its location is very central, being within walking distance to the old town, government, parliament and other historical buildings. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Arrived on Friday, departed on Monday. The hotel is in an excellent location. 20 min walk to the old town. Hotel is Close to some nice restaurants just around the corner. The hotel it self is very clean. The staff are friendly and professional at all times. Special mention to Cristian on the bar, who gave us fantastic service. The food was delicious, recommend the Samale and the buffet lunch - We will definitely return.

My experience at Mercure City Center Bucharest was truly outstanding! From the very first impression until departure, everything was impeccable. The room was very clean, modern, and extremely comfortable, offering everything needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with fresh products and options for all tastes. A special highlight was the kindness and professionalism of the staff, who were always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return!

Great stay overall. The hotel has a very good location and a modern room. The mattresses were comfortable, and the shower was modern and excellent. Breakfast was good—not luxurious, but with a nice variety of food to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a city sightseeing trip. Uber from airport cost £13.00. Room was not ready on arrival but we left bags and went out for food. Check in on return was quick. Room spacious and clean. Tea/coffee provided but had to ask for refills as only had 2 X Milk. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was a good size with bath/shower and toiletries provided including shampoo and conditioner. Large safe available to use. The only negative was the temperature of the room, it was far too hot and the air con did not work, we had to sleep with the window open. We did not eat at the hotel as there are plenty of places locally to eat. We had trips booked with Get your guide and a walking tour, both of which started just 5 mins walk from the hotel. Overall a good hotel for a short stay.
