Mercure Bucharest City Center

Stayed here for 3 nights on a city sightseeing trip. Uber from airport cost £13.00. Room was not ready on arrival but we left bags and went out for food. Check in on return was quick. Room spacious and clean. Tea/coffee provided but had to ask for refills as only had 2 X Milk. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was a good size with bath/shower and toiletries provided including shampoo and conditioner. Large safe available to use. The only negative was the temperature of the room, it was far too hot and the air con did not work, we had to sleep with the window open. We did not eat at the hotel as there are plenty of places locally to eat. We had trips booked with Get your guide and a walking tour, both of which started just 5 mins walk from the hotel. Overall a good hotel for a short stay.

The location is great and easy to access, 2 min from Piata Romana. I like to hold workshops with my clients at Mercure City Center Hotel because they feel pampered here as the services are great - cozy conference rooms, delicious coffee breaks, lunch and a la carte, very nice & quiet restaurant. In short, this is a beautiful and cozy location in the heart of Bucharest, though in a quiet area. I strongly recommend it!

I would rate my experience as completely negative. I booked one hotel room for my sister and me for just one night. We chose this hotel because I believed that an international hotel should offer good service, comfort, and, in this case, a very good location.||When we arrived, we were informed that the hotel was overbooked, even though I had completed the online check-in. The two receptionists were very arrogant and showed no concern for the difficult situation they put us in, without providing any proper explanation. They were extremely unprofessional and unprepared (nepregătiți). They could have simply acknowledged that it was their mistake or that there was an issue with the reservation system, which is unacceptable for a Mercure hotel.||We were relocated to another hotel that was farther from the location we wanted to stay in.||I would never make a reservation here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. People who are so unfriendly, unprepared, and unprofessional should not be working in the tourism industry.

Had a great stay at Mercure Bucharest City Centre! The room was big and very clean, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Breakfast was really good. Staff were super friendly especially the energetic and kind lady at the reception. Loved the free minibar in the Privilege room. Highly recommend!

The hotel has a perfect central location, making it easy to explore Bucharest on foot. A special thank you to Mr. Popescu at reception, who went out of his way to fix a booking issue with the wrong dates quickly and kindly. Also, Ana Voicu from reservations was very helpful and responsive. Their professionalism really made the difference. Highly recommended for both location and great staff support!

I had a wonderful stay at the Mercure Bucharest City Centre. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel welcome and well looked after. Andrei at reception was very attentive, polite, helpful, and genuinely pleasant to deal with. Cristi at the bar was extremely friendly, attentive, and always available even while serving guests on the terrace. Ana Maria from Sales? was highly professional, efficient, and took care of every detail for my arrival, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged. Overall, the team is very well-organised, friendly, and truly professional. Thank you all for making my stay in Bucharest such a pleasure. I will definitely return, as there is still so much to see and discover in this wonderful city.

Great staff, amazing welcome and good food. Breakfast is very delicious and with a lot of options. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great value for money. I recommend this hotel.

Rooms are okay but could be better.. I didn't find the showers particularly clean. The front desk man was rather grumpy, only the lady at my checkout was helpful and friendly. The location is nice, but the outside seating area always seems a bit grubby and the breakfast doesn't exactly give many options, so don't expect salmon here :)
