Mercure Chisinau Center Jazz Hotel

My understanding was this hotel was taken over by the Mercure group (via a franchise) in December 2023 so ignore any reviews prior to that. I liked the hotel, staff were very professional, warm and helpful. Room (deluxe suite) was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was just ok.||To conclude, I can recommend this hotel. Excellent location.

Pleasant personnel, spacious room, all worked fine. The only setback was there was no food available in the evening, so coming from the airport, I could get absolutely nothing to eat. Small setback. Maybe consider some sandwiches or salads to be available.

Unfortunately, we had a rather unpleasant experience at this hotel. While we were thankful to get a room late at night due to an emergency, we were scammed into buying the most expensive room and in the end were charged 50€ more than advertised. When I requested a room with 2 beds, I was suggested a "prestige room" for 128€, which I accepted. When I entered the room, there was only one bed and upon being confronted, the clerk explained that we could use the couch as a second bed (it was not made up and there were nowhere any sheets provided to even use it as such). This was certainly not what we were expecting. As it was late and we were tired, we went ahead and shared the queen bed. Unfortunately only after check-out, I realized they were charging me 180€, instead of the 128€ that were originally advertised. Overall, I feel kind of scammed and I would not stay here again. P.S.: there is not even a single drop of free water provided in the room. Even the (quite expensive) minibar doesn't carry more than 2 0.2l bottles of it. So prepare to stay thirsty.

Great hotel with excellent service and comfortable room. Will stay there again if I have to catch a flight from Chisinau airport !

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at this amazing hotel which is centrally located on Vlaicu Pârcălab Street in the heart of Chisinău and within walking distance of the capital’s main attractions. The attention to detail and beautiful decor in the main public areas as well as the guest rooms was outstanding. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by the most welcoming and hospitable staff at the reception desk. Their warmth and friendliness made me feel instantly at home. Throughout my stay, they went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my first visit to Chisinău was perfect. Whether it was offering helpful local recommendations or simply sharing a genuine smile, their hospitality was truly outstanding. I can't thank them enough for making my stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel and I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

I stayed for one night in early June. This is a great hotel in a great location. Chisinău is a wonderful city with friendly locals. I would like to also give a huge thank you to Victoria who made me feel welcome and had enjoyable conversation. I’d encourage anyone staying in Chisinau to stay here. Nice rooms with a good vibe and excellent WiFi etc.

I was disappointed with this hotel, and it was the worst hotel in my whole trip. The first room I stayed in had lots of issues: The hairdryer was not working. The door was not locking. There was a horrible smell coming from the toilet. I complained, and they changed me to another room which was much smaller, and also had a sewage smell in the bathroom. The breakfast is very limited and not in line with the money I paid for the room. You would expect 4-star treatment and end up with 2-star facilities. I would never stay here again. There are much better hotels nearby at lower prices. Also they don't provide free water in the room. This is the only hotel in my East Europe trip that failed to provide free drinking water in the rooms! For 4 stars hotel it lacks a lot of hospitality features.
