Mercure Chur City West

Excellent hotel…stayed before travelling on Bernina express. Warm welcome at reception and great room. Chur card meant travel on buses and entry to some local museums was free. We visited the old town… charming place and will happily return.

Sandro provided an excellent customer service! The internet has issues at Ibis and Sandro went above our expectations by finding another room in a partner hotel Mercure City West. He personally handle all the arrangements, walked with us to the hotel. Room was spotless, very friendly staff, excellent food! This was an exceptional experience! Will recommend Ibis and Mercure Chur to anyone! Thank you Sandro!

Great hotel perfectly situated in Chur for anyone catching the Bernina Express. The Number 6 bus from Chur station takes you to the door of the hotel. The hotel provides a guest pass that means a free return trip to the station in the morning to catch the express. Our room had a spectacular double aspect view of the mountains. Rooms are very quiet with beautiful bathrooms. Towers restaurant provides great food and friendly staff. Receptionist was very welcoming and provided good local advice. A great stay before we ventured into the Alps.

Good location, only 7 minutes from the main Chur train station via bus. Room was very spacious, nice big walk in shower, comfy bed, good views. Check in staff very friendly. Would use this hotel again if I was in the area.

Fantastic stay at Mercure Chur City West. The staff were genuinely lovely, the room spotless, and the mountain views… absolutely breathtaking. It’s about a 25-minute stroll to the old town, but only 2 minutes to the famous Alien Bar, based on the film — worth a peek. The hotel felt like the perfect mix of comfort and convenience, and Chur itself was a brilliant surprise. Would happily come back.

Lovely bedroom, very spacious with amazing views. Lobby & facilities more basic though. We were very happy with our room Lobby is small, restaurant and bar closed on Sundays which wasn't great. That said, we could still purchase drinks and snacks though.

We stayed for 2 nights towards end of June. It is a modern hotel with rather small so called comfort rooms. We therefore, requested for an upgrade on payment. Irina the manager kindly came with us & showed us the larger spacious room on the top floor which was lovely with good views. The room even had a sauna. The hotel is situated in the Buisness district & bus stop is nearby.|Breakfast is satisfactory. There is a restaurant in the same building called City West, which served us a delicious evening meal.|Reception staff in the hotel are all polite, friendly & helpful. We would like to thank Irina the manager & Sarah, Saskia & Marina for our pleasant stay.

We arrived at the hotel late afternoon on the 26/10/2025. Counter staff were checking in a large tour group of Asian background. We ( 4 asians from Australia)were behind this group queuing to be entertained/ checked in anticipating that we will be next in line. A group of 3 of Caucasian descent came through the door and instantly the counter staff entertained and checked in this group. We asked the staff if they actually were ahead of us apparently it is not the case. We requested the staff to correct this practice as it is degrading, demeaning and outrageous.
