Mercure Chur City West

Lovely hotel, great food in the restaurant for evening meal. The room was really nice with great mountain views. Location was ok, surrounded by shops and businesses but only a short bus ride to the old town and the transport tickets were provided by the hotel which was a nice perk. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would be happy to stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Glacier Express tour package.|Although this hotel is located out of town in a business park / shopping centre it’s only a ten minute door to door trip by bus both to the train station and the old town.|The hotel even gives you a free bus pass.|Our room was one the corner rooms of the building with full height windows overlooking the snowy mountains.|The room was a comfortable size with a walk in shower, coffee machine,refrigerator etc adding to our comfortable overnight stay.|The breakfast buffet was also of a high standard.|The front reception staff are very welcoming.|In fact I would like to send special thanks to Rosa on reception, on our morning of departure I realised I had left some important documentation in the rooms safe 15 minutes before the Glacier Express’s departure. |I rang the hotel and Rosa arranged for the documentation to be posted to our final hotel stay in Switzerland at The Mercure Stoller in Zürich.|This saved me a lot of inconvenience and falling out with my partner over my error.|If we ever returned to Chur this would be our go to hotel, my partner liked the shops too.|Nice to see great service and understating exists today .

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The rooms are spacious, clean with all the little extras that create a good impression. Staff are super friendly and check-in straight forward. We were only staying for one night but were so looking forward to our visit. As some have mentioned, the hotel is set outside the main town, in a kind of industrial area but there's a lovely shopping mall next door that's very popular, so there is a bus stop right outside the hotel, and buses run frequently, so location is not normally a problem! Unfortunately on the one night of our stay, the staff were having a party so the hotel restaurant and bar were closed! That's okay - if only someone would have told us in advance! We arrived back to the hotel after a busy day out sightseeing so were looking forward to having a meal at the hotel and a few drinks ready for an early departure the next day! We found the restaurant in darkness at 7.30pm and the guy on reception then told us about the staff party! Why weren't we told about this at check in earlier in the day, particularly because there is nothing else in the area to go to get a drink or eat (unless you want a Burger King that's up the road!) So we waited for a bus that took over half an hour! Maybe they are not so frequent later in the day! There were kids throwing stones outside so the police were called so we had to wait inside the hotel! We toyed with the idea of just staying in our room but out of hundreds of channels on the TV, there was not one English speaking, although we did find Radio 2 eventually! Why no English speaking channels? We have never known this before, there is always at least one or two news channels to be found! This hotel had the potential of being one of our favourites, but we were just let down by lack of planning from hotel staff?

Great view, cozy room, sauna, well located and guest card with free public transportation and many other facilities. I have absolutely loved to stay here.

A 10-minute bus ride (B10, B11, B12, B6) from Bahnhofplatz bus station. The rooms are functional with spacious bathrooms and heated floors, although our room felt cold. The breakfast buffet was standard, but it had few gluten-free and lactose-free options (important: inform them of any allergies when booking so they can prepare). To be a Mercure hotel, we found it below the level of the rest of the brand.

The staff made our stay even more wonderful. We were here at holiday time on a weekend so some things were not available. Right outside was a coop and we used the lovely downstairs bar area for our dinner. They provided us with plates and went over and above to make sure we had what we needed. Highly recommend this hotel.

Sandro provided an excellent customer service! The internet has issues at Ibis and Sandro went above our expectations by finding another room in a partner hotel Mercure City West. He personally handle all the arrangements, walked with us to the hotel. Room was spotless, very friendly staff, excellent food! This was an exceptional experience! Will recommend Ibis and Mercure Chur to anyone! Thank you Sandro!

Clean tidy hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Helped us with our inquiries and gave us options for getting into town. Was a nice experience when bus service included in our stay. Can walk it in 25 minutes. Would recommend.
