Mercure Fribourg Centre Remparts

We arrived after booking a room for three people, but unfortunately the room was only prepared for two. There was just one poor staff member who had to take care of everything on her own — checking us in at reception, setting up the extra bed, and even preparing the welcome drink. It was clear that she was doing her best, but the organization behind her was seriously lacking. She deserves praise, but the management really needs to reconsider how they run things.

Very nice hotel. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. I had a very good stay and found the staff to be highly professional and helpful. The only downside that I felt was the location to go out for dinner. You do have to walk a bit or take the car. But they also offer food at the hotel, which I did not try. Overall I liked my stay and would come back, if I have some meetings nearby again.

We chose this hotel as our base camp for the trip, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. During our second stay (4 nights + 2 nights), we were delighted to be upgraded from the junior suite to the main suite. While the upgrade was a pleasant surprise, one detail stood out—the shower. The junior suite featured a spacious Italian shower, perfect for a relaxing, intimate experience. In contrast, the main suite, despite its size and luxury, had a small, basic corner shower that felt out of place in an otherwise high-end setting. The breakfast buffet was exceptional—fresh, varied, and catering to all tastes, making for a perfect start to each day. We will be back

The hotel is very well maintained very near the center of the city of Freiburg. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very welcoming.

The hotel doesn't look attractive from the outside, but the interiors are very nice. Our top floor suite was spacious and modern, the bathroom needs a little bit of TLC, especially the cleanliness of the shower cabin. The front staff is very friendly and professional. We had a great 1 night stay.

The hotel's location near the city's historic tower is very convenient. It's just a minute away from the bus station, which offers frequent services to the town. The complimentary parking space is a great perk, and the air conditioning in the rooms is especially valuable during hot days, especially given that many other hotels in the area do not provide this amenity. They only offer breakfast, and for the rest of the time, they have a bar which is open during the day. To have lunch and dinner, you need to go to the town, which is 10 minutes away.

Good value for money! The parking is a little small, but there is nothing really you can do about it... I would come back and do not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed in the hotel for ine night. It was perfect friendly staff and good clean room with a good bed!
