We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Hotel Mercure Hanoi La Gare. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely lovely and attentive, always ready to help with any questions and very detail-oriented throughout our stay. Our standard twin room was spotless upon arrival and cleaned thoroughly every single day by housekeeping. The room was surprisingly spacious for two people and had everything we could possibly need: a hair dryer, kettle, tea bags, instant coffee, slippers, a safe, a dental kit, vanity kit, and sanitary bags. The bathroom was also well equipped with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. Additional amenities such as shaving kits, an iron and ironing board, and bathrobes were available upon request. There was a paid minibar and snack bar in the room, which we didn’t use, but we appreciated having the fridge to store our own drinks. Two bottles of water were provided and refilled daily, and the fresh flowers in the room upon check-in were a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was quiet. There was also an extra duvet and two additional pillows in the closet. The hotel’s location is excellent: just a 10 minute walk from Train Street and 15 minutes from the Temple of Literature. There are also a few convenience stores and the post office within a 5 minute walk, and the Old Quarter is only about 10 minutes away by Grab or by taxi. We tried the hotel restaurant at the beginning of our stay. The menu offers a good selection of local dishes, though the prices are quite steep compared to nearby restaurants. The fitness room is small but equipped with all the necessary machines for a quick workout. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Mercure Hanoi La Gare for its excellent service, convenient location, and great attention to detail. We didn’t try the breakfast, but everything about our stay was wonderful.

We loved our stay at Mercure Grand Hanoi! The hotel is very well located — just a short walk to the Old Quarter, making it easy to explore the sights, shops, and restaurants on foot. At the same time, it’s tucked away in a quiet area, so we could relax and rest peacefully after a busy day in the city. The combination of convenience and tranquility made our stay perfect. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for a couple of nights, the hotel is located in the outskirts of the old quarter of Hanoi. Rooms are modern and clean. Staff are very friendly and so helpful. We stayed here during the typhoon so we were kind of locked in, ordered food in the restaurant and it was really nice.

It was a lovely 21 hrs layover for me since the hotel was nearby some of the tourists spots I could visit! And all the staffs since the moment I arriver were very accommodating and kind and they attended to whatever questions I asked them. Thanks very much! I hope to visit Vietnam I little bit longer soon and I'll make sure to stay in your hotel again.

This place felt like an oasis in busy Hanoi. Cozy French‑style interiors, welcoming atmosphere, and a lovely rooftop terrace. The breakfast and toiletries met expectations, though some rooms are compact. Overall, a smart choice for both leisure and business stays

I had a fantastic experience during my recent stay. From the moment I arrived, all the staffs, especially Anh were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Anh went the extra mile to ensure my comfort, even arranging to have a hard pillow ready in my room for the third night. That level of care made a lasting impression. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean. The only downside was that the bathroom was quite small, and the sink tended to splash water, which made it a bit inconvenient to use. My husband and I loved dining at the hotel’s restaurant. We ended up ordering the same dish Bún Chả, for three consecutive nights because it was so delicious! Special thanks to Linh at the restaurant, whose warm and friendly service made each dinner even more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, with a wide variety of tasty options. Overall, the service throughout the hotel was consistently outstanding. Despite the minor issue with the bathroom, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return or recommend this hotel to others. A truly memorable experience from start to finish! Love from Singapore

Hanoi station is very close to the hotel. So is the train street. The staff is very kind and helpful. You can also change currency at the reception. I had my birthday here on my trip so they were kind to send me a cake to celebrate.

The hotel is located nicely and within 1km from the Train street. The hotel offered room upgrade for last 2 days of our stay which we appreciate. We didn't have breakfast there so can't comment on the food quality.
