We booked a room for two nights. We arrived after a long drive and dropped off our luggage in room (703) before going to dinner at the event we were attending. We returned very late and discovered that the toilet was broken (the wrong-size lid, holding on with one bolt), and the battered trash bin immediately fell apart. Strangely, the bed did not meet the floor on the bottom right side, making it noisy whenever my husband rolled over.
The next morning, we needed to be at our event very early. We told the receptionist about the problem. Upon my return at 2:00 for some rest, the room had not been touched. After waiting in vain for housekeeping to arrive, I returned to reception to ask if anything would be done. After being told no, I asked to switch rooms. I was given new room keys and told to move on my own (I walk with a mobility aid). The next morning, the receptionist apolognízed and offered to cover our parking costs because of our experience. When we tried to leave the parking garage, they didn't work, and the friendly receptionist was gone. Getting the parking ticket validated again required a long discussion. In all, what should have been a simple stay at the hotel closest to our event turned out frustrating and exhausting. We go to this event every year, and we will definitely choose a different hotel next time.
