Arrived an hour before check in, and asked if we could check in early (I am an Accor gold member, so not an unreasonable ask) - the immediate response was an exasperated “you should have called yesterday to say you wanted an early checkin. The room isn’t ready”. So I asked if we could have a late check out - “the best I can do is 11am”. This isn’t the standard of service I expect from an Accor hotel.

The only thing going for this tarted up old motel is it's location. $260 per night seems like a lot for a small room featuring a draft due to the gap around the door, wafer thin walls through which you can hear neighbouring bathroom noises and voices. On arrival I requested a quiet room. The woman on reception told me they were fully booked, the rooms were pre allocated and they would do their best, whilst putting her hand up and in my face. The allocated room on arrival for a stay of 3 nights was like a bunker without any natural light and was just off the quite busy Byng Street. I went back to reception and asked for the manager and was subsequently moved to a room on the first floor with at least some natural light. The included breakfast is served in the neighbouring Ex Services Club and doesn't open until 7.30am. I therefore decided to forego and went to the very nice Byng Street Store, which I have been to previously and know is really nice. According to members of my party who partook of the included breakfast, I did not miss anything. All in all this is an at best mediocre motel.

nice motel, bit noisy as we were near the front entrance. Clean and tidy, Parking we were required to go to back carpark and it was poorly sign posted to get there

Just one night here mid-winter. ||Room (204) was quiet, spacious yet warm and cosy. Plenty of room for our bags with good hanging space.||Comfortable bed, great pillows, large bathroom and good sized shower. Excellent toiletries along the tea and coffee facilities. ||Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants- would stay here again.

Exceeded All Expectations!||I was truly surprised by how amazing this place turned out to be! The hotel was exceptionally clean and safe, which immediately made me feel at ease.||I ordered dinner in-room, and everything was delicious. I had the spaghetti chilli praw, pepperoni pizza, buffalo wings, and bruschetta—every single dish was flavorful and satisfying.||Later in the evening, we went upstairs to the pub on the second floor, where there were pokie machines, drinks, and live music with a piano and singer. It was such a romantic atmosphere—my partner even proposed to me there, right at the Ex-Service Club upstairs!||Honestly, I thought going to the countryside would be a bit boring, but I was so wrong—this place was full of life and joy. What a wonderful surprise!||Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy yet exciting getaway.

Best part about this hotel are the lovely staff and the quiet but central location, where everything is in easy walking distance. The room was clean but not amazingly maintained. We had to ask reception to get cleaning staff to refill body wash in shower as it was empty when we checked in and remained empty after the room was serviced on the first morning. The heat lamp globes in the bathroom were all broken/in need of replacement, which made it very cold in the winter temperature, when having a lukewarm shower. Asked the reception during our stay if they could be replaced as it was a bit cold in the bathroom, but were told it would have to wait until Monday, when the manager was back on duty. One of the shelves in the bedroom cupboard had lost a clip and was wobbly. Otherwise, great place, cosy and warm in winter. It just needs more attention to detail with maintenance so that guests don’t have to ask for things that should already be in place. Staff are definitely lovely though.

A real mixed bag. We're a family, 2 adults and a 10 year old, staying in a Deluxe Room with a queen and single bed. The hotel is centrally located, and very clean, with comfortable beds. That's about where the positives end, sadly. Our room was in the old motel section, so we were given a room with no external window, meaning it was dark and oppressive. No other room was available when I asked. The bathroom was dated, and the shower door was installed such that the bathroom door would hit it when it was opened. We booked thinking there was an onsite pool however that no longer exists, so I informed our booking agent so they could remove the pool photos from their app. Not the hotel's fault, of course. The service was ok. A missing hairdryer was remedied quickly enough, and the reception staff were pleasant. Overall though, poor value given the state of the room and the lack of a window.

The room was smelling of cigarettes. It was cold with cold draught coming from under the door. AC not keeping the room really warm. Noisy because of the car park. No bathmat. The list can go on. Quite disappointed for the amount of money charged for the room. Won’t come back
