Late night checkin - after Midnight- was perfect, friendly and efficient. Room was clean, sparsely furnished which suites me. And it had a balcony which is really nice. It is possible to open the windows and aire the room. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom amenities well stocked (large bottle, environement friendly). A friendly welcome note on my desk together with a large glass bottle of water and preferred drink(very tempting😉)made me feel appreciated. Hay Street and Murray Street Malls are walking distance as well as the Perth Mint,Elizabeth Quay and Perth Station from where the High Wycombe train to the airport leaves. Late checkout was just 1 hour later than regular checkout time. That was not very generous towards a gold card customer. But at least they offered to store my luggage 'til evening which I appreciated. It was my second stay at the Mercure on Hay Street and I was satisfied both times

Room was big but then the attachments were pretty old. Would be good to reno a bit. The amenities were basic and I didnt find a dental kit in the room. It was only when I called and asked that they mentioned it was available at the counter. However when I checked in, it wasnt mentioned to me so I had to go downstairs again to get a set. One great surprise was a bottle of wine that was presented to me upon arrival. Must thank you for that. Could take the red CAT to town but needed to walk back, as it was faster. Overall, it was still ok.

Was good for what we needed. Handy location to most things. Our room, while comfortable and clean had a funny smell. The showers were good. The house service was ok, without being great. Breakfast was included and that was lovely. The staff in the restaurant were brilliant.

the hotel is located conveniently to everything needed for a tourist. Loved the fact that I could walk everywhere. The room was spacious and clean. The bed comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. James at the reception was extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

We have stayed here at Mercure Perth on Hay for sometime + we have always enjoyed our stay - the room is clean and comfortable. It is well located and staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and variety is fantastic! Only negatives are parking is not always available but there is parking across the road which is cheaper - also the noise coming from elevator is constant and if you're a light sleeper it might be a nuisance.

The room is very old, poorly maintained, stained couches, paint peeling from the numerous resurface jobs of the bath, stained and dirty refrigerator. Clearly the owner is not investing back into the property. I’m surprised the Accor brand wants to be associated with. If anything it would be an average “Ibis” definitely not a Mercure property. It was not cheap either, you can forgive run down and dirty at a low price but this more expensive than other nearby properties. The breakfast buffet was the only saving point. Options were good and mostly of a decent standard.

I loved the automated check-in and check-out process – it was so convenient! On our first night, our room had a weird smell, but housekeeping addressed it really quickly by spraying the room with air freshener, which was great. However, when we returned after our trip from Fremantle, the toilet in our second room wasn't as clean as it could have been. The room has this weird smell too but wasn't as bad as the first night so we did not notify the reception.Despite that, the reception staff did a really good job throughout our stay.

I felt as if I was in a backpackers hostel. Paid $236 for Standard king room 1 extra large double bed, which was actually 2 singles pushed together! The lounge looked to unsafe to even sit on & when they say they provide bathroom toiletries its just hand wash, shampoo & conditioner. There was no staff to greet me or anyone else in the lobby until 1 friendly person eventually came to help check people in through the machine. No wonder they only ask $1 for bond. I also emailed the management team that night to provide feedback & a month later no response! Very disappointing, won't be back & won't recommend staying.
