My advice to you unless you are desperate for a place to stay… do not even step foot into this place. Disclaimer: I have stayed in MANY hotels in my life and many of which have not been very glam.. but this was downright dangerously disgusting. After a long tiring flight went to go check into the hotel. First of all, saw they had underground parking.. was more like a goolag and we were driving a small car. As we were pulling into the car park, we saw clean towels and clean bedsheets in metal cages out in the open for everyone to see, god only knows what could be crawling around in that carpark. But anyway we still proceed to check in. Walked up to our room, walking around having a look… crumbs everywhere, dust everywhere, makeup marks on the walls, hair everywhere, random black marks on pillows and towels, mould in the bathrooms…. Cut. Dirty. Toenails. On. The. Floor… After heading down to reception and being like “hey guys hate to do this but uhhhhh can you please refund us because our room is filthy” I am not about to get bitten by some random bugs whilst I sleep thank you. They offered a room upgrade. Was no better. There was a strip eyelash plastered to the floor of the balcony with thick black hair all over the floor. Our upgraded room also started to smell like mariju****… even though it is a non smoking hotel. Headed down to reception for the second time because again I will not be staying in a hotel that is filthy. Proceeded to ask for a refund and got the response of “oh was the upgrade not good enough for ya”. If any person was offered something they did not pay for… they would be polite and respectful about it. Ended up leaving and booking at the doubletree by Hilton where I was greeted with warm cookies.

Came to the hotel not expecting much....but was pleasantly surprised. The location is great with a RED CAT bus stop directly out the front. We were greeted by the front office manager James who was great, he was very helpful getting us checked in and helped us with any questions during our stay. The room was basic but clean and spacious. Only negative about this hotel was the breakfast.... it was lacking in quality the scrambled eggs resembled egg soup and the fruit was all from a can. No fresh fruit to be found. So the breakfast wasn't worth the price charged. I must clarify that Im a Platinum Accor + member so my breakfast was free - I would not of paid for it either. Would I stay there again ....maybe! as the choices of reasonably priced hotels in Perth are seriously lacking!

We stayed for 4 nights and overall the hotel felt more like a 3-star rather than a 4-star. During our stay, we ran out of soap and i asked three times, no one came to replace it until I personally asked the cleaner for a refill. Our first room also had a cracked toilet seat with rough edges that actually scratched us, so we requested a room change. In the second room, the room phone was not working, we went out for the day expecting it to be fixed, but nothing was done by the time we check out the hotel. To be fair, the location is convenient and the staff are friendly, but the experience and maintenance standards did not reflect a 4-star rating. With improvements in housekeeping responsiveness and room upkeep, this hotel could offer a much better stay.

Came here on a Wednesday did a day stay 9am to 4pm . Just to get away from the craziness of Christmas.. Bit of RNR ....The staff were welcoming from the moment I walked in.. I was upgraded to king size room as there wasn't a queen size available. Room was lovely there was a balcony outside the air con worked so well I was freezing after a while.. The bathroom was compact loved loved loved the eco friendly shampoo conditioner and body lotion on wall bottles.. Tea and Coffee in room bed comfortable loved my time here. Next time I'll try the restaurant/bar downstairs..

Lovely central area. Room was basic but very clean and had everything you need. Nice hot shower with good pressure.||Went out for the day and came back to nicely made beds and clean towels.||We had both dinner and the buffet breakfast. Staff at both were attentive and helpful, food was well cooked and presented.

This was genuinely the worst hotel experience we’ve had. My husband was discriminated against and refused check-in unless I provided my documents — even though it was payed wit his credit card, and I personally called the hotel to confirm. He had just finished a 12-hour shift and travelled all the way to Perth, exhausted and just wanting to sleep. When he arrived, the room wasn’t even ready, despite the 2pm check-in time. Later, when I arrived, the staff member didn’t even know who I was. She didn’t ask for any documents and simply told me to use the self check-in machine. I was shocked — why could I check in with no issues, but my husband couldn’t? She also didn’t check documents for the couple ahead of me. It’s hard not to feel like my husband was treated differently because he is Aboriginal. The room itself was also unacceptable:• Bathroom was not clean — black hair on the floor and walls• No soap, no conditioner, no body lotion• I requested cleaning, restocking, and vacuuming at 7:30am, but when I returned at 1pm, nothing had been done. The staff claimed rooms with check-outs were prioritised in the morning and “stay-overs” in the afternoon — yet my husband’s room wasn’t ready at 2pm the previous day. The logic makes no sense.Overall, the staff were not friendly, not helpful, and the entire experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We will not be staying here again

Easy checkin staff member was great and explained the hotel and the places to go see around the hotel. Bar on ground floor was good and well priced the over all price for the room was great. Breakfast was great.

I came to stay at the Mercure on Hay for a work conference. Most Mercure hotels I have stayed have been comfortable and well maintained, but alas this one has been subpar. The room itself is a decent size, with modest decor. However the room is in dire need of refurbishment with the cupboards both in the room and bathroom being very outdated, the bath is in a sorry state leaving me to think if I needed to wear my slides in the shower. Overall, a little icky for a 4 star hotel. The hotel is also located near police and court, some interesting characters on this side of town.
