Firstly, I would like to thank Mr Samuel Theodorus, the hotels Guest Experience Manager for his efforts to make our birthday stay special, we both appreciated it.
Pros: Mature well kept gardens leading to the promenade, beach and a choice of alternative restaurants. Towels are provided for the pool areas and beach. Beach beds and brollies are provided for hotel guests. Nice pool areas and beds were always available during our visit. Friendly staff and a special thank you to Ayu and Ranum at the Spa for the excellent massages.
Cons: whilst very friendly, a few of the staff seemed quite immature and unaware of their surroundings. The linen in the room was often dirty and in some cases did need replacing as it is worn. We had to request a linen change and on a couple of occasions had to ask for hand towels as housekeeping removed them, but didn’t replace. The shower wasn’t very powerful and the water never very hot, we never needed to add cold to the mixer. We were also disappointed in the quality of the food.
During our stay we raised our concerns with Samuel, the Guest Experience Manager, and we felt that he sincerely listened and understood our feelings. He also assured us that the management would look at some extra staff training to overcome the issues where possible, mainly housekeeping.
