The hotel is right on the beach and it’s not a high rise complex. Rooms are positioned in multiple two storey blocks that are spread out around lush gardens that have meandering pathways connecting them to the resort facilities. We really enjoyed the relaxed and peaceful vibe that this setting created. The resort has two pools and a nice beachfront bar area. We enjoyed a buffet dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were really good. We had an Executive room which was a little dated, however it was spotlessly clean, nice and roomy and had everything you could want, including a nice balcony. We had an upstairs room which we would recommend. All the interactions we had with staff were great - everyone was so friendly and welcoming, grounds keepers would even wave and call out ‘good morning ‘as we sat on the balcony! How nice. The location gives you access to a paved walking/cycle path that stretches for many kilometres along the beach front. You can rent bikes at the hotel. We have stayed in many locations in Bali and Sanur is one of our favourites. It is quieter than Kuta, has a range of restaurants and bars and quite a nice reasonably clean beach. It’s not a party spot, which suited us perfectly. It’s a great value for money choice. We recently stayed at the much more expensive Sofitel at Nusa Dua, and while that hotel is a bit more modern, we preferred the vibe of the Mercure at 1/2 the price.

We’ve just returned from a two week stay. The hotel gardens and location are excellent if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway. The staff were always warm and welcoming. Odek from housekeeping went above and beyond our expectations. The restaurant and particularly the breakfast didn’t meet our expectations and was over priced for the offering. We did however really enjoy the food and vibe of the genius cafe at along the hotel’s beach front.

Near the beach and resurants, the hotell has its own beach area. In the room it's good AC and a smart TV with Netflix. Nice pool areas. The staff is really lovely! Not the most modern rooms but you get a lot for a good price!

The rooms are a bit old BUT the resort overall is so pleasant that we barely came to the rooms during the day... They have a large library with a selection of books that is really nice! We barely ate at the restaurant so I wouldn't be able to rate it but the staff from reception, to the gardeners, the housekeeping and all were all super friendly and VERY polite: a hello and a smile. It's the small details that make the big difference and this is one of those. We will come back without a doubt! The only missing part to improve the stay would be some free activities for the kids (for example 2pm kids to the tennis court for 30minutes)

Room is a bit outdated but well maintained and clean. I love the hotel, nice garden, so green and fresh. Beach access is a plus point staying here. We had our corporate annual meeting day for 3 days And all facilities were sufficient for our meeting. Excellent service and friendly staff. 👍👍

The resort is showing signs of aging in the rooms but the surrounds are beautiful and the pools are lovely and very suitable for families. The second pool has lots of shade and is very child friendly. The service is 5 star. Have to give a special mention to Samuel for his kindness and efficient service. He is one of the most special people and is a very effective clients service person. Dedi and Anna made my holiday stress free with their quick problem solving. A great hotel to relax in and explore from

Outstanding service and unforgettable stay We had a fantastic experience at Mercure Sanur. The resort has a relaxed, laid-back charm with beautiful grounds and direct access to the beach, but what truly sets it apart is the staff. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, and it’s clear the team takes great pride in looking after their guests. Especially mention to the wonderful view to the Balines temple from our room, waking up to the peace and quite was something that made our stay also super special. A big thank you to Anna at reception. She was friendly, patient and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She made everything feel easy and stress-free, and her kindness really stood out. One of the highlights for our family was how much our 20-month-old toddler absolutely loved feeding the fish around the reception. Such a simple but memorable touch that made the stay even more special for us. Highly recommend Mercure Sanur for a welcoming and enjoyable stay. Would happily return!

I stayed at the Mercure Sanur for three days mainly because of the beach access. For watersports the location is excellent, and the concierge was extremely helpful. He even stored my six surfboards in the luggage room so I didn’t have to drag them up the narrow staircase to my room. That said, the hotel itself is showing its age. My room and bathroom really need an update. The bathroom layout makes no sense, and the shower setup manages to spray half the room no matter what you do. Around the pool there were construction works during the day, which didn’t exactly create a relaxing atmosphere. The pool staff were more focused on their phones than on guests. Simple things like offering sunbed cushions were completely missed. Breakfast was also disappointing, so I chose to eat next door after the first morning. Great location. Helpful concierge. But overall the property needs attention. For the same beach proximity there are better options nearby.
