Mercure Resort Sanur

I truly recommend this hotel. The atmosphere is peaceful, with beautiful traditional thatched-roof buildings and all the facilities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The hotel grounds are lovely, surrounded by well-kept gardens. Beach access is very convenient, and the swimming pools are clean and perfect for relaxing. The food was excellent as well—there were plenty of choices, from international dishes to healthy local options that tasted amazing. What impressed me the most was the staff. They were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with anything I needed. Every time I walked by, they greeted me with warm smiles that really brightened my day. Even though some of them didn’t speak English fluently, they were consistently polite and respectful. Their traditional uniforms also added a charming touch to the whole experience. Each evening, there was some form of entertainment and a different dining theme—sometimes by the beach, sometimes at the stage area, and sometimes in other parts of the garden. Everything was planned with such care and effort. I was genuinely impressed by the dedication and service I received. Staying here truly made my holiday memorable.

We absolutely loved staying here. Moreno brought great energy and friendly helpfulness to the overall experience. The resort is more original/traditional style Bali rather than the bells and whistles of newer places which is what we loved. Breakfast is amazing for the price. Staff are awesome. Soak up the atmosphere, enjoy and appreciate the friendly service, natural clean, relaxing surrounds and terrific location. The next best thing to 5star.

Great hotel, staff were lovely, everyone of them greet you with a smile and hello. Rooms were big and cleaned daily. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, with eggs cooked fresh and to your liking. Both pools were very relaxing. Bikes for hire at a very reasonable price, we hired them twice as a lovely ride along the beach. Hotel is right on the beach with plenty of sun beds and pool/beach towels provided. My only moan and it’s a very small one, is the bbq night and fire dance is very expensive by Bali standards, food outside the hotel is much better value. I would definitely return to this hotel. Firstly, I would like to thank Mr Samuel Theodorus, the hotels Guest Experience Manager for his efforts to make our birthday stay special, we both appreciated it. Pros: Mature well kept gardens leading to the promenade, beach and a choice of alternative restaurants. Towels are provided for the pool areas and beach. Beach beds and brollies are provided for hotel guests. Nice pool areas and beds were always available during our visit. Friendly staff and a special thank you to Ayu and Ranum at the Spa for the excellent massages. Cons: whilst very friendly, a few of the staff seemed quite immature and unaware of their surroundings. The linen in the room was often dirty and in some cases did need replacing as it is worn. We had to request a linen change and on a couple of occasions had to ask for hand towels as housekeeping removed them, but didn’t replace. The shower wasn’t very powerful and the water never very hot, we never needed to add cold to the mixer. We were also disappointed in the quality of the food. During our stay we raised our concerns with Samuel, the Guest Experience Manager, and we felt that he sincerely listened and understood our feelings. He also assured us that the management would look at some extra staff training to overcome the issues where possible, mainly housekeeping.

Lovely complex, quiet and relaxing. I enjoyed the breakfast which catered for all. Attended a wedding ceremony held here, a beautiful beach wedding and reception in the garden. The band was great. All staff were very friendly. The swimming pool was too warm for my liking, perhaps some umbrellas over the pool area. That's a personal preference though. Thank you, enjoyed my stay in a quiet part of Sanur.

I highly recommend this hotel. With beautiful thatched roofs everywhere and all the comforts you could think of. Great hotel, beautiful gardens, easy access to the beach, nice clean swimming pools. Fantastic food. Healthy options with Balasian food also on the menu. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Beautiful staff, who bent over backwards to help and make my holiday excellent. They smile at me every time I walk past, which really cheered me up. Even though some of the staff could not speak English, they were all so very polite and respectful. Wearing traditional uniforms and taking pride in their appearance. Every night there was an opportunity for entertainment and a different option for buffet, on the beach or at the stage area or in a different location in the gardens. I was very impressed by all the hard work and thought that went into the good service I received.

Stayed at the hotel for 8 days. We were very satisfied! What I especially liked: 2) well-kept territory 2) chic breakfasts 3) friendly staff 4) daily cleaning, clean towels and free water. The beach is a 2-minute walk away, there are sun loungers and umbrellas. We'll stay here again! Thank you very much!

We stayed here for five nights and were very disappointed with the hotel. We arrived late evening, our Accor Plus Platinum Explorer status was recognized and check-in was quick and efficient.||We decided to eat at the restaurant and have the BBQ seafood buffet and a few drinks. The BBQed food was cold (warm at best), and we had to keep asking to put our items back on the grill to warm up. Service was painfully slow for the drinks, with multiple reminders to follow up. They forgot to include the Accor discounts on the bill, and to make matters worse, when queried, the waitstaff argued that it had been included. When we pulled out a calculator (phone) and insisted they explain how it was calculated, they relented and acknowledged that they had made a mistake!||The next day we noticed a foul smell in our bathroom, and we asked reception to have a look and fix. Nothing was done, other than to place a few scented incense sticks near the drain.||The overhead rain shower was a trickle, and the hand-shower was pointed parallel to the floor and could not be adjusted. We asked for the rain shower to be fixed; again.. no action taken.||Breakfast was ok, but this is a large hotel so expect a large crowd of people at breakfast. They do have plenty of tables, so seating wasn't an issue.. but we did have our eggs going missing (or forgotten) on one occasion. ||On the positive side of things, some of the staff were very friendly, but some in the restaurant and at breakfast were inefficient (or trying to do the least work).||The room was large and well furnished, the bathroom was large, and the beds were very comfortable. I did find it strange and unusual that the hot water kettle and fridge was in the bathroom (never seen that before). ||The two pools are good, not crowded; although the pool near the restaurant did run out of loungers to lie on. ||The location of the hotel is great, just on the beach; and easy access to the Sanur 'boardwalk' along the beach to wander towards the other warungs and restaurants.||But all said and done, we wouldn't stay here again
