Mercure Grand Mirama Surabaya: 2nd visit, but a bit dissapointed 😓😓||room: booked privilege room and got upgraded to privilege luxe, which was definitely bigger, but had a very bad view (the roof of whatever building was beside it). 2 2-seater Sofas, 1 smart tv, and the typical mercure amenities and furniture. comfy and clean bed and room. bathroom was small, but clean. water pressure was good, but bathroom blind was dirty. sadly, the sink was also clogged, but since we were busy the whole stay, we didnt call for engineering team. welcome amenity was good.||breakfast: good variety and taste, but no beef, only fish or chicken. breakfast staff was good and plenty.||staffs: great front office staffs, but security team was a let down. most security guards seem to underestimate guests and didnt even look friendly. i suggest better hospitality for the guards.||building: same old building with two elevators, and the other building was still renovated and set to open soon.||parking: good parking space, plenty in front and in the back.||facilities: this is a sad one. swimming pool was murky and had zero visibility. idk what happened but there was only 1 pool staff during the time that i swam (16.00-17.00). ||if the negatives can be fixed, and the hotel wants to keep improving, i would recommend this hotel. supposed to be worth it for the price. ||ps: after emailing about what happened, the hotel has reached out and given compensation for my stay. looking forward to a better stay.
