Perfect location for visiting old Tbilisi. Modern hotel. There were mjnor issues with our room (215). Poor lighting, no lotion (wall mounted shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, and hand soap), and pillows were overly soft. The good news was that you were able to open the windows. Breakfast was adequate, but surprisingly, few fruits were available. An absolute must is a visit to the Sky Bar on the 6th floor (open at 5). On a nice evening, the tarp is rolled back to fully enjoy the location. We were warmly welcomed by Theo. An absolutely charming and extremely capable young lady. One of her creations listed on their cocktail menu is a smoked negroni. Oh my!!!! Don't hesitate to try this cocktail made with their spiced gin (not spicy but spiced with cinnamon, etc)|Exiting the hotel and continuing to the left, you'll pass the domest of the sulfuric baths. Look across the road to a free-standing clock and a white triangular building. On either side of that street, you'll find bank ATMs. Many restaurants if you continue along that same little street.|Instead of crossing to the clock, if you continue along the side of the sulfuric bath, you'll arrive at a decorated building (also a bath house) . To the left of that building is a love-lock bridge, and crossing over the bridge and turning right, you can follow a path to older love-lock bridges and eventually a waterfall. |The underground Meidan market is also in a square near the hotel.
