Mérida International Airport offers a surprisingly pleasant travel experience. The terminal is noticeably clean and feels modern with recent updates. Navigating immigration was a breeze, thanks to the short lines and the genuinely friendly and efficient personnel. Their welcoming attitude left a positive first impression of Yucatán. Overall, the airport provides a comfortable and stress-free start or end to any trip.

Great experience... Shopping, transportation and different services. The rental car picked us up fast, we got the car very quickly.

Smallish airport. Security check is quick and efficient. Food Hall with a few dining options. Lady photos are of the lounge mentioned below. Only one Priority Pass lounge here when we traveled (Amex Platinum compatible), which is just after security on the right. Not listed on Google Maps and apparently not allowed to add places in this region yet, so I'm mentioning it here. Not a big lounge, minimal food (tiny sandwiches with little contents, chips, granola bars, etc). Bar area with a few free drink options.

No drinkable water after security. Either have refill stations/ fountains or put a cap on maximum price for water bottles at the convenience stores. 59 pesos for a water bottle is straight up theft.

Great improvement compared to the old airport. Lot of natural light. The layout and the outlets are much better. The only thing missing is the airport Business Class Lounge closed due to renovations. Immigration is slow but the staff are nice and friendly. Nice and clean airport. Lot of renovations going on at the moment

Great airport. Medium sized, fast and clean. So much better than CUN. There's not as many duty free shops. Easy security and immigration. Quick lines. Flights are on time.

It was our first time at this airport and I loved it. The airport is not so big but has all it needs. Mérida is worth to visit while you are in Mexico. Pros 1. Airlines check-in with no big queue. Everything went fast. 2. No queue in the airport security check. It was 11:30 in the morning. 3. It has several shops, restaurants, and cafes while you are waiting for your flight. 4. The toilet is clean. 5. They have charger point with Mexican plugs. 6. Wheelchair assistants are quite responsive. 7. They have painting exhibition from the departure gate.

Americans: Stay away from this place Ci Banco when trading your money. Trade it when you get back to the USA. I was trading pesos to dollars and they said they were trading at 21.60 peso for 1 dollar but were giving me less than that back in dollars. They don’t speak any English at all. When I used the translator to speak to them they made no sense in explaining this to me. I also showed them the converters online and how much more they were and they were trading at 20 peso per dollar but they still acted like the amount they gave us was correct. They said they don’t charge to do the money conversion, so if they are not charging then they are pocketing(stealing) the money, because it makes no sense why my mom and I were both cheated each by like $3-4 usd.
