Meridian 63°’s Micro-cabins on Canada's Prince Edward Island
"A recently opened set of four off‑the‑grid micro‑cabins inside Strathgartney Provincial Park provides a calm, slow‑down retreat with modern comforts that capture a camping vibe without the setup. Each 200‑square‑foot cabin features floor‑to‑ceiling windows, a solar battery for lighting and device charging, a small living area (loveseat, ottoman, chair, cooler and side tables), a utility sink, and a lofted sleeping area reached by ladder that opens onto a queen mattress from the Canadian brand Endy. Outside there are picnic tables and a firepit with a cooking grill, while a shared guest house offers a restroom with spacious rainfall showers plus a kitchen with fridge, stove, sink, cooking essentials and complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa. The property sits right on parkland with about 25 kilometers of single‑track trails steps from the cabin doors, making it ideal year‑round for hiking, mountain biking (the operation began as a biking lessons and tour company and still encourages cycling), skiing, snowshoeing and fat‑biking. Guests praise it as a perfect place to recharge and make family memories, and the cabins deliver memorable views over the PEI countryside and West River—great for sunrise and sunset watching and even catching cruise ships leaving Charlottetown at night." - Rachel Chang
