I’ve been a customer of this restaurant since 2009. I always order garlic spaghetti with shrimp. In the past, they have discontinued the shrimp, and I was really sad about it. but they got that back and I’m happy again! I usually eat at the restaurant, but today I made it to go. I ordered garlic spaghetti with extra garlic with my shrimp well done. After I opened the package while I’m charging my EV, they made a creamy spaghetti with shrimp!!!!!! I was hungry so I tasted and it wasn’t too bad, but that’s not exactly what I ordered. I’m disappointed. I drove from Hollywood where I live to Ventura beach for 50 miles to get my favorite garlic spaghetti Ugh!!! I’ll post the picture of the one I got tonight and the usual ones I ordered in the past as a comparison.

Quick and tasty food. My husband had the salmon tacos, we were both skeptical about them but he claims they are some of the best tacos he has ever had. I had a blur and we shared some delicious garlic bread. Very cute small Italian restaurant very relaxed and affordable.

Stopped in for a nice lunch with my wife while visiting family. Busy but no line or wait. As always food was delivered with a smile & tasted excellent. Enjoyed the italian sub with eggplant fries. Im a sub sandwich conisour & the bread makes or break a good sandwich. This place gets its just right. Fresh french roll, meat you can taste, not overly done with lettuce & sauces. Perfect! The eggplant fries with a side of hot Maranara was delicious. Breaded with just the right amount of crispness. Always full filling.

Meridians is a local pizza establishment in the Ventura area that we visit. Normally our meals are satisfying. However on this visit I ordered the romano pizza with pesto sauce...it looked great but it was very, very oily. Next time, I'll stick to the tried and true margarita pizza.

Got lunch, dinner and leftover for turkey Sandwich for breakfast prior to the M2B Marathon. Great service and delicious food. Hidden gem for sure!!!

Pizza looks and tastes like it was from a gas station. It’s usually pretty thin, but the cook made it like one of those bad pizzas from Target used to have. This pizza used to be good but I don’t know what happened. I’ve gotten the yankee pizza countless times over the last two decades and this was bad pizza. I want my money back!

The Worst food In 30 years of being a local for 50 years. Let's get too it I ordered 2 steak sandwiches with avocado and mushrooms. So we got the Two girls behind the counter feeding there Faces a small man with a attitude not sure if he was the owner or not and a Mexican who can't speak English. Let me mind you there was only one cutomer dinning there at the time . When the food arrived it look like they left the bread in the broiler for 30 minutes it was Straight Burnt Black both sandwiches as i opened one it had a flank steak that was cut in half also burnt 3 hole mushrooms Aioli that was so blan my little 3 year old could.make better. A pickle that looked half eatin and a peppercgioni that looked like some one took a bite out of it and a while 3 micro slices of Avocado. I have never returned food and this was the first time in 30 years. What a discrace to the community. Get the Mexican out of your Kitchen with there half A... no care in the world for what they serve. I Asked for a refund the two girls starred at me like there Dumb founded that the food was AWFUL......... Took them 20 minutes to say they didn't no how to refund my Card. Five more minutes go buy she's OK there has been a refund when I go to look no refund it's two days later now still nothing. Save yourself the Trouble and the HeadAche unless you enjoy burnt half eaten food served too you for a premium Price!!

The ingredients on my pizza were excellent. The veg, cheese super fresh and the flavor was also very good. The reason for 4 star Instead of 5 is the Ceasar salad was good but nothing out of the ordinary at all and I ordered my pizza extra done and it was not. I will however eat here again as the quality ingredients were definitely a 5+. Service was friendly.

Two words: Eggplant Fries. Perfectly breaded, crisp, not greasy and served with a smooth, perfectly seasoned marinara. It's a generous serving, enough for two greedy people or to share with the table. BF was super happy with his roast beef sandwich too!

Ever since the original owners sold this restaurant it has gone down hill food quality wise. Used to be a regular, decided to try it again. Literally have not been here in over 4 years.... Disappointed in the quality of food (chicken Caesar salad), and the customer service was underwhelming as well. Too bad, it was once a great local hangout.

Well I can't tell you how disappointed I was with the food. I grew up in Ventura. They used to have the best pastrami sandwich! It came on a sesame bun that was toasted on the grill with thin slices of tender pastrami, mustard, a good Swiss cheese, and a pickle wedge on the side. You would bite into that crusty roll and the pastrami would melt in your mouth. The best! This version had a untoasted plain roll, three slices of bland tasting "pastrami" (more like a kind of Spam) some cheese, 3 large spears of pickles to make up for the lack of pastrami. As you can see it is mostly bread. It was if I was in a foreign country and it was their idea of a pastrami sandwich. I had no idea they had new owners until I was posting on Yelp. However the service was great they were friendly and quick, but I will never be back. Save your money and your appetite for one of Ventura's other fantastic long time eateries. Johnny's, Himalaya, Pete's Breakfast house, Snapper Jack's etc.

Five stars for kind employees up front and an owner who cares about the community. Let's support small local businesses. If you have a less than stellar experience, share it with the owner. He's doing his best to keep prices low when everything is going up. Photo- Greek salad. Super fresh.

I've left 890 reviews and almost all 5 stars. Tonight I was craving lasagna and saw Meridians next to Vons on Harbor and Seaward and figured id give it a try. A few people picked up pizzas while I waited for my lasagna to finish being re-heated in the pizza oven. So the pizza is probably pretty good. I'll give it a try someday. This was a sad day for me as after taking one bite I threw the lasagna mush into the garbage can. Really bad. The worst I've ever had in my 64 years. My advice to the owner of Meridians is to take the lasagna off the menu. Focus on your pizzas. Sorry. I hate doing it but had to.

This was a nice little lunch stop for a good sandwich. I got the steak and avocado, and it was very enjoyable. I would recommend it for sure. The service was quick too.

Meridians is one of those places i go because my friends who are locals like it so much. the food is good, the staff friendly and the service is quick. the dining area is rather small so i often get it to go. i'm not sure if you can stop text your order in ahead of time, but in the past that was really convenient.

They got my order wrong, but I still gave it a try. I wanted the eggplant penne(perugia) not spaghetti. It was sad. Wouldn't order that but I want to come back for what I originally wanted.

It's gotta be more than 20 years that Meridians has been consistently perfect. From the chicken caesar salad to the pizza to the bow tie pesto--yeah, there are other items on the menu but those are relentlessly delicious. Thank you for always being meticulous about quality preparation!

So sad to see a favorite go so downhill. Last week we ordered a pasta dish for take out- that pasta came with no pasta. It was a box of sauce and chicken, like soup. How does a pasta dish get made without the pasta? When we called the restaurant they did not seem bothered and were not apologetic. Mistakes happen sure, but it's all in how you handle it as a business. Customer service these days has gone out the window. So disappointed because we've been coming here for years and I used to love it! :(

Hello again! Just an update. The first trip was 5-star amazing, deliciousness. My friends, family, and I decided to meet here for Mother's Day dinner. My friend who was with me the last time and I decided that there must have been a different chef than the first time we went. The first time, the food was so good. This time, it was a different texture; the salad was built differently and on a plate piled so high I couldn't mix it well. The ingredients kept falling off, and it was hard to eat. Her pesto pasta was really different. It had a crunchy texture, and before, it was creamy. It was still good, but not amazing like the first time we went. I hope we get the chef we had the first time if we go back.

Ordered take out from here. The rigatoni pasta. PASTA. What I received was just sauce and no pasta. No noodles. I've worked in a restaurant, you check to go orders so I'm baffled that this big of a mistake was not caught. Not only that, they were not apologetic at all but seemed to laugh at the matter. Absolutely ridiculous that they would bag up a pasta dish, with NO PASTA.

This place has gone so far down in quality over the last year or so it's kind of wild. Food used to taste at least somewhat fresh like they made some things in house, the spaghetti and meatballs i got today tasted like dog food. Ragu straight from the jar and very obviously microwaved meatballs from a bag based off the very off putting texture. Big bummer this place used to be a low key gem. Wonder if they got new ownership or a new chef, either way it's not working. Edit: my boyfriend just informed me it was also FIFTY DOLLARS for the dog food spaghetti and meatballs and his super watery sausage and pepper penne and now I'm losing my shit, bad AND expensive?? Is this place a front for something like how does the ownership expect to stay open? Looking at these reviews it won't be long. And not a single response like they really don't care, crazy.

I used to like this place but as other yelpers have said, the place has gone down hill. I've gone here for years. And I don't know if the owner changed or they lost a good cook but something is off. I used to like their spaghetti and meatballs, but it's just flavorless just like their blackened chicken pasta dish. Just no flavor. I was really hungry yesterday and in the area, so I ordered a small pizza and it was really thick and doughy and undercooked, and instead of marinara sauce I think they used like a vodka sauce witch I don't like on a pizza, I ended up throwing it in the trash. I wasted the little money that I have for a treat and got served garbage. I won't be back. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

Our go to spot for some delicious sandwiches! The prices are decent and you get large sandwich sizes! Occasionally you'll get a soup added into your to go order. The staff is always so friendly! The atmosphere is calm and the establishment is always clean. We would recommend this local eatery to anyone!

My husband and I bought an Italian sub sandwich today to eat at the beach. When we opened it we found the bun was huge compared to the amount of ingredients in the sandwich. Then, once we bit into the sandwich, we found the bun not to be fresh. It was definitely not fresh, but seemed several days old. When you pay nearly $15 for one sandwich you would expect quality.

I've only known about this place for a couple months, it's quickly become my favorite restaurant. I've only eaten one thing at the place too! They're cheese bread, but that's enough to let me know that probably everything at this place is delicious. Also, after I had been there several times, they started calling me by name, also, they know that I'm broke and sometimes issue me a slight discount which I never asked for, they just did it a few times. They did it today as well as yesterday. Yeah this food is so good I'll eat it two days in a row. And I'm a fussy eater. Highly highly recommend this place

My family loves Meridians and it is a must stop every time we are in Ventura. I became addicted 20 years ago when I lived here. My go to is the Caprese sandwich and my husband loves the steak and avocado sandwich. Worth every bite!

Food was pretty good and the staff was nice but they had this weird video playing on the tv of the restaurant itself? While I was sitting in it? Could be just me but it's kind of strange to play a video of the restaurant in the restaurant. My kids usually like the family movies they have on when we go but guess we missed it this time for the ad.

This has been my favorite local sandwich place ever since they opened in early mid 2000's. We like to order sandwiches from there for our family of four about every month. We all loved them so much but I'm super to sad to say that they have changed several ingredients due to costs and we will no longer be buying food from them. I've never had a bad sandwich from them all these years. Today though it was inedible. The bread was doughy, the sauce was thinned out, the avocado is now guac spread, the y don't have swiss, the meat was weird and the pickles were different. I picked apart half of the sandwich and then threw the other half out. I am really so SAD!! Please Meridians, go back to the old sandwiches!!!!!

We stopped going to Meridians after several years. Their sandwiches and bread remain good but their Italian food has become much lower quality. We kept being disappointed by their sauces which are now either too spicy (Marinara) or not cooked enough (Perugia). It's too bad as the people who run the restaurant are nice but suggestions didn't fix their Italian food problems.

We bought raw dough and sauce for a DIY pizza night at home, and it was so good, so affordable, and so much fun. Also love looking at the giant map on the wall, which I recommend EVERYONE does. Super interesting. Thank you, Meridians!!

Ordered online and went to pick up our order only to find out that their third party online order service calls in the order to the restaurant. The third party service had just called in the about 20 minutes after we placed the order and it wasn't ready. Picked up our order and ate it at home. Then realized the salmon was charred and overcooked, and the chicken was also charred. Remember smelling burned salmon when they were getting our order ready, but didn't realize it was ours. Too late to have them redo our order. Had to throw away about half the salmon.

I am a hairdresser and I have a client who comes to see me every three weeks for hair color and a cut. We get Meridians every time, and we always order the tuna melt with avocado since 2000. Lately, we were wondering what is happening because the quality is not the same. The taste isn't there anymore, the bread is now soggy and doughy, and the pickles are not the same. We both loved them so much but I'm super to sad to say that they have changed several ingredients due to costs and we will no longer be buying food from them. It isn't pretty and it is partially hidden but my wife and I had an awesome lunch here The meatball sandwich as it should be meaty hot and crunchy!!

Definitely Not Good For Business when you remove a Favorite from The Menu!! No Roman Pizza... I'm one of 6 locals that Know of that will move on to a different Restaurant... It was nice while it lasted! ;-/

Never come here for a quick take-out lunch. Ordered 2 salads to go 39 min ago. Still sitting here waiting. staff seems confused, and has no urgency. seriously how is someone supposed to eat here on a workday?

Overall a good sandwich but the homemade focaccia bread made it scrumptious . Veggies were fresh and protein was plenty. I will be back.

I used to love going here and literally would go multiple times a day and probably 5 times a week, the team was very friendly and knew me by name. A few months ago we got steak and avocado sandwhiches but they tasted off... tasted like they were using a packaged guacamole sauce instead of avocado, way too much mayo which I didn't even knew it would have mayo on it. Ok, we all off bad days. Went back a few more times and the food still was not the food we would go for. The turn over of the friendly staff, and the lack of quality, we haven't been back! I don't know what happened but it's sad

Awesome eggplant fries, good pizza. Put them together, and you have epic! Can't beat the combo! Together things rock!

This has been one of our favorite places to eat since they opened in the early 2000's. The last couple of years, it's not even close to what we had come to expect. Tonight was the last time. Sausage and Peppers Penne was inedible. Three different kinds of pasta, the sausage tasted like it was imitation meats, peppers and sauce had ZERO spice or flavor. Super disappointed. This was our favorite. I know I'm not the only one. Read your reviews.

This place has been my go-to for the last 17 years, lately the quality has taken a nosedive. I see from the reviews that others have the same complaints, so I know I'm not crazy. My favorite, the Italian Sub, used to be sublime. The one I got last week ended up in the trash. All good things come to an end. A shame.

Thank you Yelp for never steering me wrong! Another new place to eat that I've never been to! That's a winning combo in my book. I had spent the morning at the beach and wanted to grab lunch before heading back home. I looked around and consulted with Yelp and found Meridians. I have arrived. it's a cute little shop in a strip mall near Vons and Starbucks. I literally never knew this place existed; that's how much out-of-the-way it is. When I went in to order there were quite a few customers inside. Always a good sign to me! I ordered their Turkey, and it was excellent! I debated for quite a while between which sandwich as they all looked absolutely amazing. I knew I'd be "safe" with a Turkey but I can't wait to go back again to try a hot sandwich. Great customer service and I was told they make their own Ranch, too! Can't beat that. Thank you and see you again soon. HIGHLY recommend!

Meridians used to be our go to with great food and great service. Not sure if they changed ownership or what happened but the last couple of times we have been there it's been terrible. The orders are all wrong and missing ingredients and even when they have the correct ingredients the flavor just isn't the same. On top of the food being off the service has plummeted. Last time I went to get pickup there a bunch of random people behind the counter chatting amongst each other and no one paying attention to the customers. Super strange environment and not very inviting. Too bad. It used to be great.

Enjoy going to this whole in the wall pizzeria. Great vibe and service. They served salad, sandwiches and among others. Very accommodating for handicap. Sitting available indoor and outdoor. Can sit outside with pet.

Loaded up the pizza and it becomes as good as a ny pizza. The chicken parm sandwich is also real good

Sorry to say but since this restaurant changed ownership it's been going down hill. Pizza is very inconsistent, soggy dough and Salads are mostly lettuce. But, I keep trying hoping they are going to step it up. But, the last time I stopped In To place a order, It took forever. The person behind the counter was not completely trained yet. Then Friday at 6:30pm they stopped taking orders. I stopped in yesterday to see what was up and I got some bull S**t excuse that the oven was broken and a ‍ whatever attitude. But, now it's lunch time and it's working fine!? And another sign on the door that they are hiring.

Two stars only because their pizza is good and reasonably priced but service is horrible. I have ordered from here numerous times and usually the same order a half and half pizza medium with sides of ranch. Today I placed an order and it was immediately cancelled because they "don't do half and half pizzas anymore" which is absurd because literally every pizza place does this! Poor choice on the businesses half to discontinue half and half pizzas, I'm pretty sure most families order this way because not everyone likes the same thing. We are back to ordering Pizza Man Dans again, who has no problem with half and half pizzas. Sad to say we will not order from you again.

The food is fantastic. Truly the best Italian in the area. However, lately they have gotten picky about customizing orders. I was charged an additional $2 for a "special request." The request was to leave the red peppers off the Greek salad. The salad arrived *with* red peppers. So I was charged for a special request that was not honored. In addition, the fee for a special request was not disclosed. This will definitely keep me from ordering delivery in the future.

Best Italian food in all of Ventura! Locally owned and cool atmosphere inside. Go with the "The Riggotoni" nothing better on the menu. Salmon tacos are a close second. Pizza well made and priced too. This place is a hammer!

We live in Keys and Meridians has always been our go-to restaurant and we eat there frequently. But recently, the quality of the food has plummeted. Recently, I ordered a goat cheese and chicken salad and they were not able to accommodate my request for no cucumbers! Are you kidding me? $16 for a salad and I have to pay $2 to leave off the cucs! Come on!! And, no more sweet potato fries! Farewell, Meridians

This restaurant is a hidden gem!! I visit Ventura about 3 to 4 times a year and this is my go to restaurant. They offer a wide variety of wonderful Italian dishes. Their food is always fresh and very plentiful, in fact I always request a to go box! I have had several of their dishes and have always been satisfied. They have the best pizza around. I enjoy watching them toss their dough and get it ready for my choice of fresh ingredients. Their italian sauce is loaded with such flavor and with abundant cheeses!! The BBQ Chicken pizza is a must have!! The girls taking the orders are professional, pleasant, kind and never forget to ask if there is anything else I need. It is wonderful to go to a restaurant where the staff are caring people and the menu offers a variety of pasta dishes,sandwiches and pizza at affordable prices. Keep up your good service!

Great little pizza shop in Ventura. Located close to the beach it's easy to grab a pie and then have a pizza picnic on the beach :). Also located in a little shopping mall there is plenty of parking. Service + Environment: 5 stars. The staff here is always friendly. I've dined in and placed to go orders and they always get my order right. No issues. Friendly and fast service. My pizzas always ready in about 15 mins, you can't beat that for a fresh pie. Food: honestly the pizza here is the bees knees. They charge a little more then most for the size of the pizza you get but the ingredients are fresh and everyone loves this pizza when I bring it over. My top favorite: the traditional "italiana is a cheese lovers dream. Simple 4 cheese pizza but it's my favorite. More flavorful then it initially looks. Also, if your lucky for something a little more creative I recommend the Palma pizza. Ham, artichoke heart slices, and their tasty aioli I'm a huge fan. I'd recommend this time and time again. Tip: they're "large" pizza looks more like a traditional "medium" size so I suggest you order up. Lastly, they have a great beer selection here so what's not to love. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed.
