Meriton Suites Broadbeach

This hotel far surpassed my expectations. The room was fully self-contained with cooking and laundry facilities in my studio suite. I used all of the amenities on my short stay including the pools, sauna and gym. They were all very well maintained. I must commend Meriton Broadbeach on their courteous, helpful and professional staff who made my stay and check out easy. I had to leave at 4am in the morning and they had arranged for a taxi to pick me up at the time of my check out. I was travelling solo but told my partner that the next time we are visting the Gold Coast, we're are definitely staying there.

The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, making them ideal for a family trip. The location is also excellent — just a short walk to the beach, close to public transport, and right near Broadbeach South station, which makes getting around very convenient. There are, however, a few drawbacks. Being so close to the tram line means it can get noisy late at night and early in the morning. The in-room phone wasn’t working, so I had to use my mobile to call reception for room service. That was fine for me as a local traveller, but it could be a challenge for international guests without a local phone. Safety was another concern — on the 24th floor, one of the balcony doors didn’t lock properly. With a 4-year-old, this definitely made me uneasy, and I had to keep a very close eye on him. Finally, during our stay it rained heavily and the hotel didn’t have enough umbrellas available for guests to borrow, which was inconvenient. Overall, the combination of location and spacious rooms makes this a strong choice for families, provided you don’t mind some tram noise and a few practical issues.

Stayed for 1 night just for business and was very happy. Freya at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. The parking was a little tricky being a first time guest, but once I knew where to go it was simple enough. My room was great; clean, modern, very comfy and with more than everything I needed. Most importantly it was quiet at night. I made use of the gym, sauna and pool and was happy to have those amenities. The location is 10/10. Walking distance to Pacific Fair, the casino, the convention centre, the beach and all the restaurants at Broadbeach. They even let me park my car there for the day after I'd checked out while I attended an event at the convention centre making my day much easier.

The place is great,very nice,even smells nice. Facilities are fantastic and the lovely young girl who booked us in was world class. The only issue was the bed,it was like granite to sleep on and had the worst sleep. Moved to the Hilton after where the bed was 1000% better. Other than that I would have made it a 5 star

Might have been the cheapest room.. so i can't really complain. Amazing for location though and service and facilities were great. The curvy lounge seats were amazing. So good after 6 hours on our feet at an Expo. Thank for having us!

Great place to stay, clean tidy rooms, reasonable views, nice facilities. Everything you could want for a quiet stay away. The lady who keeps the people moving in the front foyer should be paid more money, she was amazing when I was stressed she was so calm. Very easy to talk too and friendly.

We love Meriton Hotels. Stayed at both in Brisbane. Must admit, we do prefer the location at Adelaide Street. Also stayed at Broadbeach Meriton. Great location. Across the road from the Casino. Staff are amazing at all Meriton. Highly recommend.

LOVED this place! Will definitely be back. We had a 1 bedroom suite, which was a great size and very clean. The bedroom was a little tight with a king bed but it was still comfortable. The location was great! Close to Pacific Fair (we walked there every day) and lots of other shopping and dining options. Also, could catch the tram to almost anyplace in the Gold Coast. Staff was nice and friendly too. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an awesome place to stay right close to the beach.
