+ Some of the best receptionists I've ever interacted with! Everyone was super sweet and helpful. They helped us keep the luggage for 3+ hours before check-in. Joanna, in particular, gave us important tips and suggestions in using the public transportation. It was very delightful for us to talk at length about our experiences in the Jungfrau region with her. + Excellent location! Right next to the Interlaken West train/bus station. + Clean, spacious room + Excellent housekeeping! + I personally loved the view of the West station with the landscape of Interlaken + The free breakfast was great! + The one EU socket was a big relief to us - Bathroom sink was difficult to use with the faucet sticking out. Also the traditional hot and cold knobs!

Great location across from the bus station. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. You can walk or take the bus to anything in town. Excellent views from the breakfast terrace. There was a good selection at breakfast, fresh breads are delivered every day. Good affordable choice amidst the beauty of Interlaken.

This hotel is excellently located across the road from the station which is fabulous when you’re travelling. Staff at the front desk are all amazing and incredibly helpful, and made us feel so welcome. A small self service bar on the ground floor offers tea and coffee and you could buy drinks and snacks. ||The room was mid range but comfortable. Very clean. Ours was an orange decor which did no favours to the room, I peeked into another room which was blue and it looked so much nicer! :-).||The rooms are not air conditioned, it was not too hot during our stay, but this may be an issue in the middle of summer. There was, however, a ceiling fan and this was appreciated.||The location is great and an easy walk to Interlaken Ost. Being opposite the train and bus station was fantastic. The hotel provided an Interlaken card which provided free public transport and discounts off attractions, so if you have no Swiss Travel Pass (ours ran out during our stay), this is a great benefit.||Breakfast was fabulous, and the lady in the breakfast room delightful. ||Given the high price of hotels in Switzerland this hotel represented great value for money.

The Housekeeper was very rude to us and complained I apparently damaged an old towell simply because I complained about her prior when she spoke to me very rudely after she woke us from our afternoon nap .The Other staff were nice and very helpful when I asked about some things to do in the Town . The Location was not bad for an older hotel .The included breakfast was fantastic and that staff very lovely and welcoming. Would we stay again ? Probably not especially with that housekeeper .The Rooms were OK though. The View was good .

Hotel building was old, but it was looked after very well. Room didnt have AC ( we stayed here in peak summer), but it e everything was spotless. Location is very convenient , shops, restaurants, bus/ train station are at the door step. There is only one lift and its really small, so be prepared to wait for long time during busy check-in/ check-out times. Staff were helpful and there was decent breakfast food options.

The first is definitely the location. Extremely convenient to go around town as its right opposite the West station and bus stand. Its right opposite the river and the thun lake is also around. The rooms were clean and functional. Good breakfast on the lovely terrace. Love the views of the mountains and para gliders swimming in the clouds. Book this hotel before it sells out!

The reception staff at Merkur were very nice & accomodating! Breakfast was really nice as well, had a great view from our room Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing hotel at amazing location. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful (kudos to Priscilla!!). Would recommend this hotel to those who look for a convenient spot in Interlaken!
