Mermaid Eco Resort – A Wonderful Honeymoon Stay I stayed for two nights at Mermaid Eco Resort and opted for the Water Villa All-Inclusive Honeymoon Package. From the moment we arrived, the team welcomed my wife and me very warmly, which made us feel truly special. The room was lovely and beautifully decorated, adding to the charm of our experience. The overall environment was serene and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were exceptional—kind, helpful, and highly professional. They truly know their job and go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. A standout moment for us was the candlelight dinner. The way it was decorated was simply beautiful and made the evening magical. The food was, without a doubt, one of the best parts of the stay. Every dish we tried was fresh and absolutely delicious. If I return, it will be for their food alone! The tandoori chicken and desserts, in particular, were exceptional. That said, there are a few areas where I believe they could improve: 1. There was no full-body mirror in the room, which I think should be added for convenience. 2. The menu for the honeymoon package could use a bit more variety. For example, there were no desserts included in the lunch menu, and the snack portions were too small—serving just three fried wings for two people felt inadequate. Aside from these minor issues, everything else was fantastic. I would highly recommend Mermaid Eco Resort for a romantic getaway.

I had a wonderful stay at the Mermaid Eco Resort with 8 friends all from England. The staff there went out of their way to be hospitable and welcoming including doing a bonfire for us on the first night and offering to wash clothes that were stained etc. The food was lovely as well. There was some construction works nearby which meant it was a little noisy but there is nothing that Mermaid could do about that, so overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay

The room had dirty bed sheet, pillows and comforter had dirty stains as well. We complained about it and the staff changed it. The bathroom had weird dirty marks all over. We stayed in the one bedroom bungalow. It was on discount and it was 4800 per night. Because of the bridge construction, it was really noisy at night and on the day it had a huge traffic. Breakfast was good but it had a lot of flies around. Only good thing was the stuff was really friendly and helpful, maybe we went there on the wrong time.

They maintain their quality according to the relatively high price. Staffs were friendly, well trained, place was beautiful and clean. The complimentary breakfast was also qualityfull. Great for enjoying vacation with dear ones. But price is too high if you want to have lunch/dinner inside resort. At least they could have decreased the price for staying guests.

This resort isn’t your typical 5-star hotel; it caters specifically to those who find beauty and peace in nature. The lush surroundings and the resort’s dedication to preserving the environment create a serene atmosphere that we cherish. The scenic beauty, especially the sea views, is rejuvenating and worth every penny, despite the resort being on the pricier side.

Pictures do not represent the current condition of the resort! As of late 2024/early 2025, there is a huge construction site (new street & bridge) running through the resort. Not a place to relax! General vibe of dishonesty and non-cooperativity by the management. The depicted pool can be used, however it is not located in this resort, but 2km to the north. At some point, this probably was a great place to stay. As of now -- a big no-no! :(

The location, maintenance and service was top notch back in 2018. In last couple of years the enthusiasm of the Management seems dropped significantly. The surroundings are scenic but the rooms are maintained poor. Service is still good but the food is expensive. Missed the riverside dinning due to construction of a double line bridge on Reju canal that split the resort in half. Hope the eco resort to recover its lost glory.

Stayed here for a day for the Cox's Bazar Sea Beach in the Crabs Dreamer house. It was really good. There was nature around us. I saw a cat, a caterpillar and there were birds too. The overall style was unique and interesting. The rooms were designed with natural and modern style together. Couldn't try out much food because of the short time but the food is expensive here. You might not get to try everything unless you have a high budget. We had a morning buffet type breakfast here, which gave us the choice to choose which food we choose for breakfast. There were pancakes, khichuri, watermelon juice, papaya juice, cereal and milk, rice cakes, chicken, watermelon etc. This buffet type breakfast was free. The rooms were air conditioned. The bathroom looked cool and had soap and shampoo. In the rooms there were some tea packs with sugar and an electric kettle to make tea. There was also a prayer mat and a mosquito net for use. Overall a good and unique experience. It's expensive but if you've never been to an eco resort before, it's worth a day here. I've added several pictures which you can see in the Photos area.
