I came into Merrell specifically for insulated boots. As soon as I came in, I was greeted warmly and asked if they could direct me to something in particular. I told them what I was looking for and was directed right to the shoes that matched what I had in mind. The clerk explained all of the features, told me what activities they were best for and helped me select a boot in my size.
I’ll be honest, money is tight and I was concerned about spending so much on “just a pair of boots.” I’ve always just worn cheap $50-$60 boots up until now. But as soon as I put these on, I immediately understood. These are not “just a pair of boots”. The quality is outstanding! They are well-built, stylish, warm, and most importantly, so, so COMFORTABLE!
The clerk, who was helpful and friendly, had me try on a couple of other pairs and had me walk around the store a bit just to make sure I found the best boot for me and not just the first one off the shelf. I really appreciated that I wasn’t upsold or treated like a walking wad of cash—I was treated like a person who they just wanted to help find a good pair of boots. The man, (whose name I didn’t get, but who had longer hair and an epic beard) explained that he wore Merrell long before coming to work for them, so it also made me feel good that he had actual experience with the product he was selling. After walking in apprehensively, I walked out feeling very confident and excited about my purchase.
I think it’s fair to say that between the customer service and the quality of the boots, Merrell has just earned a customer for life!
