I came into Merrell specifically for insulated boots. As soon as I came in, I was greeted warmly and asked if they could direct me to something in particular. I told them what I was looking for and was directed right to the shoes that matched what I had in mind. The clerk explained all of the features, told me what activities they were best for and helped me select a boot in my size. I’ll be honest, money is tight and I was concerned about spending so much on “just a pair of boots.” I’ve always just worn cheap $50-$60 boots up until now. But as soon as I put these on, I immediately understood. These are not “just a pair of boots”. The quality is outstanding! They are well-built, stylish, warm, and most importantly, so, so COMFORTABLE! The clerk, who was helpful and friendly, had me try on a couple of other pairs and had me walk around the store a bit just to make sure I found the best boot for me and not just the first one off the shelf. I really appreciated that I wasn’t upsold or treated like a walking wad of cash—I was treated like a person who they just wanted to help find a good pair of boots. The man, (whose name I didn’t get, but who had longer hair and an epic beard) explained that he wore Merrell long before coming to work for them, so it also made me feel good that he had actual experience with the product he was selling. After walking in apprehensively, I walked out feeling very confident and excited about my purchase. I think it’s fair to say that between the customer service and the quality of the boots, Merrell has just earned a customer for life! Thank you!

Great place to buy your next pair of Merrell shoes. They have a great stock of shoes and are very reasonably priced.

Great service & a true hidden gem in St Louis! HINT: they carry men’s smaller shoe sizes that fit women & they have last season’s styles in stock that are a fraction of the retail price! PERFECT if you’re looking for quality boots/shoes & you don’t care about the latest fashions! I’ve been wanting waterproof & anti-slip shoes for walking & hiking…and I found a pair of men’s size 7 that fit me perfectly! (On sale for $40, but I got them for $20 after 50% off because my husband bought a pair of boots.) The customer service is great too! The 2 guys working there when we went on a Wed afternoon were so helpful, knowledgeable about quality shoes, listened to our needs & concerns, and were diligent & polite in looking in the stockroom for what we wanted. I won’t go back to Columbia or The North Face for shoes or boots anymore!

I’ve worn Merrell shoes for a decade and have always liked them but I believe their quality is quickly going downhill. I bought a pair of (low) Moab 2 and a (3/4) Moab last year. The low hikers have a squeak when walking that I originally thought would go away as soon as they were broke in, it did not. I fact it has gotten worse, to the point that people look for the squeak when I walk by. I’ll threw those in the trash. The 3/4 hikers are very uncomfortable and have almost no padding, it’s like strapping a board on your foot. Very disappointed in Merrell, I’ll be switching to another shoe manufacturer.

Mom stopped in one day to check the place out, no one ever talked to her or anything. She went back stopped back in Saturday to look again and said Ken was there and talked to her about what she might be looking for. She said he was very nice, helpful and not pushy. He greeted her and helped her out and told her have a look around and let him know if she needed help he would be right there for her. She wished more places had good employees like him. She said the way he treated her was a complete turn around from her first stop in there. She wanted to assure Ken gets recognized for how well he is with customers, even if they are just looking around. It would be 5 stars if not for the first stop in there.

Nice store, but there was a male associate present who was waaaaaaay too pushy and would not leave me alone to shop. When I first came in, one associate (huskier guy) did the standard, "Welcome! Can I help you find anything? ...okay, just let me know if you'd like some help," which was perfect. Then, after saying no thanks, another male associate swooped in and would not stop talking to me and trying to sell me insoles and particular shoes for the remainder of my 10 minute visit before I gave up and left. 5 stars if not for that unpleasant interaction.

The Merrell Outlet store carries Men's and Women's High Performance Clothes and Shoes. They have everything from Sandals to Hiking Shoes. The store is clean and bright. Employees were very helpful on my visit. The Merrell Outlet is just West of the Bath and a Body Works Store at St. Louis Premium Outlets.
