"Donkey Santorini Brewing Company Visit A Greek , a Serbian, an English, and an American got together in this multi-cultural group to form this successful enterprise that hopes to enliven an otherwise blend domestic beer-drinking scene. The equipment was imported from Austria and housed in Mesa Gonia, Santorini. The brewery is very small and the beer tastings free as the are not authorized to sell at the brewery. They brew 3 beers. - Yellow Donkey - a mixture of hops including Aurora and Styrian Golding from Slovenia, Cascade from Oregon, and exotic Motueka from New Zealand , which produces a refreshing citrus taste. - Red Donkey - a combination of malts specifically chosen to produce its chestnut hue, utilizes a different collection of hops - including Aurora and Styrian Golding from Slovenia, Citra from Oregon, and Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. - Crazy Donkey - the first and only IPA brewed in Greece uses large quantities of Cascade and Nelson Sauvin hops that yield a plethora of aromatic bitterness - marrying an arguably tropical start to a dry finish."
It's a lovely solo hike, amazing during spring if you appreciate flowers and nice views. I hiked from Perisssa and then went down to Kamari via spring place but it was dry in April. It's badly marked and it will be a challenge to find a starting point hence have some trail maps to use. There were no other hikers

A good hike up from either kamari or perissa, it seems there is a road from kamari so may be easier however we hiked from perissa which was challenging but worth it! Strong winds at the top as expected and the views were immaculate

The best time to visit Mesa Vouno is April, May:it is full with wild flowers and smells around so nice. The rest of the time is also fine for the fens of mountains. The view is breathtaking. The place is quiet , very nice and safe.

Nice mountain to visit especially for seeing the sunrise. It was a windy day but still so stunning! There is a pavement road to the top from Kamari side which makes climbing to the top very easy. There are also benches on the way. Vehicles are also permitted.

Ohmy there are only 4 reviews. Anyway i hiked up here to see ancient thera from perissa, then down to kamari. The road down to kamari is only a winding car road so i recommend you hitch a ride

Absolutely breathtaking views and a number of options available to get to the top...you can take the winding road or alternatively you can take an old path and a little bit of climbing...This is a great bit of exercise and you have plenty of places to just stop and take a breather...Half way up you can visit the small church if you take the climbing option up route 3 or route 2..This will be a nice place to get a full view of Kamari and the airport etc...You can ring the bells hanging from the tree just outside the church and visit a small cave with a natural spring with fresh drinking water...its truly amazing and made our stay in Santorini just that little bit more magical..
I would highly recommend the road less traveled. .
