Mesita Grande is a hidden gem! We stumbled upon this cozy pizzeria and were blown away by the exceptional service and mouth-watering food. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The pizza at Mesita Grande is a must-try! They offer a great selection of vegetarian options, which we really appreciated. We ordered a delicious vegetarian pizza, which was cooked to perfection and loaded with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The crust was crispy, the sauce was tangy, and the cheese was melted to perfection. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Mesita Grande to anyone looking for exceptional pizza, great service, and plenty of vegetarian options. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Google
We had so much fun! We took “the penguin” which was amazing and “the Popeye” pizza which was more than incredible. the staff were charming, friendly and it felt like they were dedicated to ensure our satisfaction. the place was clean, spacious and comfortable!

Google
The food was nice, but my crab pasta had lots of pieces of shell in it which made it quite difficult and rather perilous to eat. Buskers also came in mid-meal and played the accordion so loudly for a long time that we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. All in all not the best dining experience, which was disappointing given the high cost (20,000 pesos for one pasta dish including the added-on service charge).

Alberto Killer Nutria AKN

Google
AKN, after a crazy trekking of 22km a La Base Torre, decided to go with Carlos from Venezuela to this place. If he would talk only for the pizza, it could be ok, but no. You know how AKN is, he likes to provide 360* to his audience. When he finished his Margherita, one of the waiters came to take his plate back while Carlos was still eating. Was he in a rush that he had to take it Immediately? Then, when it was time to pay the 31.000 pesos, AKN and Carlos decided to be nice people including the tip, but the waitress cheated on them, charging AKN 10% more for the tip, while Carlos already calculated his part including the tip. This is not how tourists should be treated. GO TO EAT YOUR PIZZAS SOMEWHERE ELSE

Google
Excellent food! One of the best places we ate in Puerto Natales. They have options for gluten free and Vegetarian. I had the eggplant lasagna. Absolutely yummy. The desserts were also super tasty. We ordered the Panna cotta and Creme brulee. It was very helpful that they have an English menu.

Google

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch. Really cute place. The menu is available by QR code and has both English and Spanish versions. We had rhubarb sours and the sausage pizza, both were really good. We had a seat right by where they made the pizzas and it was fun to watch.

Yelp
Was delighted to find a place that had a gluten free section on their menu! And they were also very good. I actually are here twice for that very reason. On the first dinning experience, I selected the GF lasagna, which is made with eggplant layers instead of noodles. I could have licked the bowl (but didn't...cause manners ) because the sauce was perfection. I got it with the meat sauce and found it to be a good balance of meat, eggplant, and melted cheese on top. On the second visit I chose the 'Mr. Popeye' GF pasta. This is a creamy spinach, mushroom, and parmesan dish. This one was offered with a gluten free spaghetti and it really hot the spot during a windy, cold day. If you are GF, add this to your list!

Yelp
I'm sure you don't expect to have great pizza when you are in southern Chile, but this is without a doubt one of my favorite pizzas that I have ever had. Whether you just got done with Torres Del Paine or you just arrived to Puerto Natales and are getting ready to gear up, I highly recommend you stop by and grab some food here. The pizza I got was loaded with spicy sausage, green peppers and onion. The crust was light and fluffy. The sauce wasn't too sweet. The cheese was tasty but not excessive. Again, some of the best pizza that I have ever had! Grab a beer and enjoy a fantastic meal! The seating is communal and everyone is there for Patagonia so make sure you chat with your neighbors and make some friends over some pizza and beers!

Yelp
Very mediocre food. Pizza was so so and also not hot. Gnocchi was over cooked. Would not recommend.

Yelp
I'm so late in writing this review. Literally like three months and a W trek later late. But honestly, this is a place I would highly recommend any backpacker on a budget (aka most) to come to after completing their Torres trek. Love: + Big community tables for eating + "Cheap" and good eats for Puerto Natales + Good pizzas and pastas + Friendly service + Accepts credit card So all in all, why not treat yourself to some carbs after you've just hiked for days? Life is short... #treatyoself!

Yelp
This place is super cute inside, and located right next to the central plaza. Both pasta dishes we ordered were amazing and although we did not try the pizza, we saw one and it looked wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Located at main square in Puerto Natales. Handmade pizzas, salads and pasta - have plenty of vegetarian options too. Seating is at long community tables. Good place to have conversation with locals. We went here twice during our stay and both times the experience was good. PlAce seems very popular as was always full. Good service. Most of the servers did not speak English though. Watching them make pizza in a wood fired brick oven was interesting. We had pesto gnocchi, mozzarella, zucchini, eggplant, bell pepper pizza ( no. 6), garlic bread, and the no 4 pizza - onions, olives and mozzarella. Everything we tasted was delicious. We also had a non- alcoholic beer with salt on rim on their recommendation - was lemony and very good. Great overall experience

Yelp
If you are in Puerto Natales (which likely every traveler trying to get to Torres del Paine will make a stop in), you must stop by Mesita Grande. The pizza is full of flavors; the accommodations are warm and inviting, and the prices are very reasonable. Enjoy a beer and a pizza before you go off on your 5+ day trek!

Yelp
Decent food, pretty efficient service, not a bad place for a quick bite in the area. We stopped by to grab a quick meal in the area prior to catching a bus. We had the guanaco carpaccio (pretty tender but just lacking in flavor), and split a pizza, which was decent, although I thought the egg and onion pairing with our toppings was a bit odd, and the pizza was a touch too soggy to support the pizza overall. It's a pretty quick and efficient place to grab a meal in the area.

Yelp
Solid wood fired pizza place that is centrally located in the city! They use organic ingredients for many of their salads and pizzas and the service is fast and friendly! We had the lamb pizza and Parmesan, mushroom, and ham pizza - both delicious. For 3 people that was plenty but if you were really hungry one person could finish a whole pizza since the crust is so thin. Long wood tables so you sit family style. They also have homemade pasta and gnocchi!! Well worth the visit if you have a pizza craving after completing a trek in Torres del Paine!

Yelp
Awesome pizza and fetuccine Alfredo. A perfect recovery meal after 8 days in Torres Del Paine!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing place! Fresh ingredients used to make their pizza and salads. We had thin crusted pizza. Very affordable. The place was packed. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Excellent fresh food. Great quality. Pizza thin crust cooked in a brick oven. Best pizza I have ate ever. Great prices Great quality

Yelp
Solid restaurant for both pizza and pasta. We ordered a ton of things to share and everything was delicious. We managed to squeeze in on the end of the large communal table and met some nice people while we were there. Fresh ingredients cooked well and friendly staff make for a good time. Stop in if you have the chance!

Yelp
the yelp 5 star rating of "woohoo! as good as it gets!" is extremely accurate for this cute little pizza joint in puerto natales. realize there's a good amount of italian (and spanish and french) influence in this general region, but who knew you could find such a good italian restaurant in this little corner of the world. while everything was really good and the ingredients were fresh in every dish we ordered (from salad to potato gnocchi to pizzas), the pizzas were by far my favorite. they're designed to be individual sized pizzas, but do prepare and come hungry, otherwise you might not finish. and who would want to leave such delicious pizza behind to waste? the staff here are very friendly.. true "southern" hospitality, if you get what i mean. a lot of folks that come here are also tourists looking to visit torres del paine. we made some friends with the people around us at the communal tables and later saw them throughout our days on the w trek (so cool!). one last thing - i will always be forever grateful to mesita grande pizzeria and our awesome waitress because she was the first person who introduced us to merquen, chile's own chili pepper mix that goes great with just about everything. after this meal, we literally asked for merquen everywhere. and the minute we got home from our trip, we ordered this on amazon and have been using it on EVERYTHING since - so good!!

Yelp
Best pizza we had in Patagonia. Cool design & fun communal seating. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were here for lunch. Arrived at the posted opening time, but had to wait a bit for them to open. It was worth the wait! And it filled up within 15 mins, so it was good that we were there early. We had the most ethereal gnocchi ever. And the meat sauce was delicious. (Patagonian ones) We also had the pizza with king crab. The thin crust was cooked to perfection and the cheese was great with the crab without overwhelming the delicate flavor. It was a simple combination of flavors which is what the ingredients demanded. The big table makes you interact with the neighbors. We even shared some of the gnocchi with them! Complete strangers from different countries having a moment together sharing food. Just loved it!

Yelp
I've had guanaco carpaccio, penna cotta, beef pizza , seafood pasta and lamb fettacinni (pasta Patagonico). Everything is good and exceeded expectations. Love the atmosphere, decor and warm cozy feelings from the homemade pisco sour.

Yelp
Great stop for fresh ingredient brick oven pizza. Punta Arenas has some nice fun places to eat but this is a great choice. We had a veggie and meat pizza both are thin crust delicious pizzas. We also sampled some salads and the carpaccio of salmon and beef. All very good choices. Not sure I will be back in this lifetime but I would if I could return.

Yelp
This place is phenomenal. In my home city of Sydney, Australia, the trend continues of new restaurants touting themselves as having the best, most authentic pizza, and charging a lot. So, it's a nice surprise to find such a high, quality perfect pizza in a town that's off the beaten path. We split a wood-fired pizza with local smoked salmon. Love that it's a local product. It was tasty and perfect. We were also recommended to try their homemade pasta: the gnocchi (we had it with osso buccho) was light as a cloud. Really beautiful done. To top all this off, the pisco sours were delicious and I was rather fond of the local Chilean beer. Five stars, no question.

Yelp
The pizza and pasta here is incredible! We had three nights in puerto natales and we came back for two in a row. The first pasta dish - Mr. Popeye is amazing along with the meat lasagna. All the pizzas look phenomenal and I tried one of the veggie pizzas with fresh tomatoes and basil which hit the spot!!
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Nice pizza. Very fast service. Reasonable prices. Could have used more tomato sauce on the base.

Yelp
Great place at a very convenient location. I had the Mesita Grande pizza with a Coirón beer. Both were exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying a few nights in Puerto Natales.

Yelp
Tasty thin-crust, wood-fired pizza spot where you cozy up to your neighbor at one of two long tables to swap stories about hiking in TDP or other South American adventures. Nice place to grab a bite (you can probably share a pizza unless you have a ferocious appetite) and they have a few good microbrews as well. The pisco sour was tasty (more bitter than sweet - my kind of drink!) and worth the cost. I wish the pizzas were a bit better seasoned, but the flavor combinations will still please your palate, particularly after hiking the W/O and eating dehydrated potatoes for a week. ;)
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Great pizza and vibe to the place! Definitely a welcome surprise near the bottom of South America in Punta Arenas. Was recommended by the hosts of a great hostel - Hostel Wild and it was fabulous. Thin crust wood fired with a wide variety and good beers.

Yelp
I think this place is a little overrated for what it is. If you were anywhere in the US or Canada, this wouldn't be on anyone's go-to list, but since it's Chile, people seem to think the food here is fantastic. It's not bad, but don't expect great pizza and definitely don't order any of the salads (it's just lettuce in a bowl and it's expensive).
google avatar

Pranj A.

Yelp
This is a fabulous pizza place. Great tasty pizzas and a great selection to choose from. As the taxi driver said to be me when dropping me there - 'It's cool'! One of the waitresses however could have been more communicative - rather than taking the bill blank faced, a little smile when I said thank you would have been nice!

Jamie W.

Yelp
Very fresh mixed salad, great soups, pizza and fresh pasta! What a welcomed surprise. Efficient service without feeling rushed. Homey communal table. Specials on the chalkboards recommended.
google avatar

Yelp
Laura was incredible accommodating and opened the restaurant for us 15 minutes early. The staff was nice and service fast!! The pizza was delicious and thin crust. The salad was fresh and I would definitely request it on a trip to Puerto Natales.

Yelp
The food here is great and cheap - gnocchi is fabulous! Plus it is a great place for travelers to meet. You are sat at a large table with with all the other customers, so it is great for solo travelers or group travelers to meet other people in the area.

Yelp
Great pizza place, open on Sunday's which was important to us as we arrived on Sunday after a long travel day. We got the Sandra pizza which was amazing and had prosciutto and fresh arugula. The lamb pizza was also unique and tasty, but I wouldn't get it unless you love onion, as there was a lot of it. We also tasted the brownie Sunday and apple crumb, which were great. Pastas look good too. We plan to go here again once we finish the w to celebrate. Definitely recommend.

Tash K.

Yelp
This was the first place in south America that we got really good pizza! So damn good!! Wifi didn't work though
