Excellent tradicional food. The steaks are huge and very well cooked. We had patatas revolconas and croquetas as starters; very good quality, not salty, and the portions are generous. For pudding we had Manchego cheesecake, delicious 😋 Service is impeccable and prices are very reasonable. The decoration is traditional rustic. Not sure if there was AC or not, but the temperature inside was really really nice.

Definetly not what expected, had to return the steak twice cause they didn’t understand well-done cooked, they bring it raw twice, and the chicken was good but very little piece; very expensive overall not worthy

No difficulty getting a table without a reservation. Service was a little perfunctory (the waiter was however highly apologetic) as I was a lone diner in a restaurant with a large number of large family groups. My food came all at once (ie starter and both main plates came simultaneously) and I had to wait for my desert. However, I got exactly what I was looking for in terms of food and it was delicious. Not the cheapest menu del día in the world but by no means the most expensive and everything was entirely edible. I wanted traditional Avilian food and at a decent price in a handsome room that's exactly what I got.

Best restaurant in town. Steak (better when medium rare) and cheesecake were great! Will definitely come back to this place! Ask for Javier. Hardest working and most pleasant guy to be around

Food is excellent, well priced and quickly served by a friendly waiter in a tastefully designed rustic setting. Came as five people, and ordered one menu of the day (four two people) and then an extra salad or two. That left us stuffed. The servings are extremely generous, and the final course of the menu of the day is a giant steak.

Amazing place to visit. Typical Avila meats with great quality and reasonable prices. Good service and rustic environment. I fully recommend it if you are looking for typical dishes. As other restaurants, beware of the rush hours.

Two visits. First visit I was "greeted" by an over machismatic chap, not happy serving me and got slightly cross when i did my best to order una jarra de cerveza, when he had to tell me that I should have ordered a coppa grande de cerveza - no food offered, but people before me and after me were offered - have been to other places where locals were offered food and not me. Second visit, greeted with a smile, different bar person and immediately offered tapas, such a pleasant difference. I came back 'cos it is a proper bar, great atmosphere. If I'd reviewed after first visit, then would have given 2 stars and if second visit had been my only one, then would have given 5 stars.

Looked like a nice place.. however on our return at 8:30pm no one really seemed to be serving food... and there wasn't any effort from the bar staff to recognise customers going in... not sure if it's because we were early(even at 8:30) or because we were not Spanish.. also it would help if the staff new a bit more English considering how many tourists visit this area.
