When you ask a local where to eat in Puerto de la Cruz they will almost inevitably say Los Gemelos and I am happy we gave it a go because it was truly worth it. Yes, the wait is about 40-50 minute; you arrive and put your name on a list and wait until they call your name. The fresh fish is amazing - we had 3 mains in 2 because we could not decide and I am happy we did that. Recommend the grilled octopus, salmon steak and grilled sole. Also unmissable are the garlic shrimps. Its a local place run by local people, the vibe is authentic - no much English is spoken but it shouldn’t be a problem.

The best place to eat in Puerto de la Cruz all things considered. I’ve been here a few years ago and when I came back to Tenerife it was one of the stops I was excited for. The portions are very generos and the prices are more than inviting. The taste is also great, had the best croquettes I ever had, and the house wine was a pleasant surprise . Bear in mind that there is usually a queue, and you can wait up to 1 hour to be seated , but this just serves as testimony to the quality of the restaurant.

The food here is delicious, fresh and very fairly priced! We had an octopus, fried squid and padrón peppers and we loved everything, especially the seafood. Their house wine is definitely worth trying. It seems there is always a queue there, we were waiting 40 minutes to get seated but once arrived the service was quick and professional.

I don't understand why people moan about this place. Firstly, this is not a fast food bar and simply allow an hour before you eat here. Don't come super hungry - no point. Secondly, try at least a minimum of Spanish, really minimum like hello, how are you. Don't expect them to speak your language. They can, because they did to us, but after we treated them with respect. Just do your homework. Thirdly - when you are in the queue - do not look at the eating people like you want to say hurry up! You might find it unpleasant later when it is your turn. Fourthly - see what locals order, check what is on the specials list and make a simple order. Don't make the chef's life difficult, you are not a child. Changing your dish into something new can be done when you cook it yourself. Full stop. The food was very good, the service was excellent - even when they have 50 other people to serve at the same time. The atmosphere was fantastic apart from those hungry groups of people at the door staring at us and our meals like crazy.

Great restaurant and excellent food and service. A gem for sure very popular and was busy when we arrived and wrote our name on the list at the door and waited with others for our table. Was absolutely worth the wait the food was delicious. We had two fresh fish dish and a local dessert and local wine. Was great value and will go again over remaining days nearby. Food to suit all tastes and good choices of wines.

We had a 50 minute wait standing outside at 8pm Thursday after putting our name on the clipboard. The food came at a decent pace though. There were many empty tables but only 3 servers. The chicken croquettes were best. The garlic shrimp was nice and clean shrimp. We had Canaria steak and steak with mushrooms. We asked for medium and medium well but I think they only make medium regardless of what u say.

A friend recommended this place, otherwise I wouldn’t have waited for 30 minutes for a table to be cleared. You have to put your name on a list and wait for the waiter to call you. Once inside, the service was rather quick & the food was very good, there are many local dishes to choose from and the waiters offer useful recommendations if undecided. 🥩🥗🦐🐠
