Fabulous experience, a perfect balance of simplicity, authenticity and quality. Everything seems to be done with a true attention to details and a will to do well. Our waiter Jose spoke multiple languages fluently and was very nice, knowledgeable and responsive. Carlos the sommelier was very knowledgeable and advised exactly right, knowing precisely what we asked for. The cuisine is on the same page, with extremely well executed classics. The ambiance and decoration matches exactly this. Looking forward to coming back!

This is a fantastic restaurant. I’ve been coming here for seven years and the place has an amazing decor to start with. Food wise we had the starters on the table of crab, prawns and we asked for the octopus. The octopus was possibly the best cooked I’ve ever had it. So so soft and tender. Amazing. For mains we all had lots of different dishes, pheasant, salt cod, prawns and clams, prawns etc. all delicious and everyone remarked how good the food was. Excellent! The service is great here. The owner is friendly and can help with recommendations for wine or port or whatever you might like. For desert I had the mouse. And others had the fruit platter. Couldn’t fault any of it. Will definitely go back again.

What an amazing place. Great setting, unbelievable selection of wines and spirits. If you want to try typical Portuguese food, well done, this is the place. 4 chef's dishes to choose from. I had rabbit stew, which was so tasty and my friend duck. Excellent service and so helpful choosing wine. Lovely drunken pear for desert. I will definitely be back.

Great food and a huge wine selection! Carlos was incredibly knowledgable on his wines and gave us great recommendations! Ended up buying a few bottles that he shipped to us.

Wine lovers heaven. After 16 years working in the restaurant industry I thought I'd seen it all.....The most impressive and extensive selection of wines I've ever seem anywhere and is if that's not enough its incredibly cheap. The food was very good and a really nice buzz in the place. One of the most incredible experiences I've had in Portugal.

Went here for lunch and it is well worth the reviews it has received. Great staff and service caring for large parties with ease. If you eat in the back room you are literally eating in the shop. The walls are lined with all manner of wine, champagne, whiskey, port, gin etc. It's amazing. The seafood is brilliant especially the clams and local prawns
