On the Grid : Mészáros

"Mészáros is a boutique for macaroons and all other kinds of fabulous desserts. The relatively small café is located in a small side street of Herrengasse. In it you'll find a mixture of elegant furniture and clean architecture before you make your way to the vitrine filled with all sorts of sweets including award-winning macaroons. Mészáros is a family-run pâtisserie from Hungary. While the family have been baking those delicious sweets since many generations it took them until 2015 to look beyond Hungary and open up their first foreign branch in Graz." - HUNGRY

Craving a decent tea and coffee, a snack, and a short rest we stumbled into this place just off the main pedestrian street of Graz and it was perfect. Decent coffee, great tea, and a great selection of macarons, so good it was impossible to resist the discounts offered for a box of six.

A very cute & clean Cafe located close to the tourist information center. I popped in because I had about 1.5 hours of downtime before my walking tour. I ordered a chai latte & a pistachio macron, both of which were excellent. The service was excellent as well. I ordered at the counter & then they told me they would bring me my order to my table so I grabbed a seat. Lots of natural lighting on a quiet corner. Very nice place to chill out & work for a bit before my tour.

A delicious experience at this cafe boutique! The desserts were delicious with a variety to choose from. The service from the lady staff was satisfactory, and the indoor atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of our visit.

I absolutely love the ambiance of this café. Their cakes, especially the one I tried, are delicious and pair perfectly with my cappuccino with oat milk. The waitresses are also very accommodating.

The cakes here are very delicious, but very small and pretty pricy. The selection of drinks could be a bit bigger, especially for non coffee drinkers.

Wonderful dessert right next to the main street. For the quality and taste, I don't mind the price, the worth every penny 😋

As the Austrian Coffee Culture is one of the most famous worldwide, this little Cafe in the heart of Graz is giving you a great glance of it. The coffee is excellent and - oh boy the pastries! - are just great. The staff is really enjoying you to serve a great experience of food and coffee. To our lovely, it is much more popular than the famous Café Sacher.

With an ever-changing selection of little sweets, the best macarons I've had in Graz over the last few years, and polite and warm service, this is the very first place I take visitors to Graz, makes for a great coffee-date, and is a wonderful go-to for a last-minute gift for sweets lovers. The macarons are fresh every day, and they also have some seasonal flavours.
