Do you want one of the best dining experiences in Venice, maybe throw a suit/dress on? The Michelin star met restaurant was AMAZING. This was world class fine dining. With a price of well over 300 for 2, but we spent nearly 4 hours here and learned about food, the Venetian eats and the local history as well as the history of a 400 year old building that the hotel/bar/restaurant is housed in. Luca was our waiter and he was a serious breath of fresh air in our weeks long excursion thru europe, he spoke almost perfect English even though he was clearly very Venetian. They even opened the restaurant at 7 for dinner rather than their normal time of 730. We did not request this and they did not inform me of this when. I made the reservation, they simply made the appropriate changes to their schedule for us. AMAZING! They had been extremely attentive and prepared to jump at the moment we looked like we needed anything at all. If your willing to spend 200-500 on a premium dining experience that will deserve to stay in your memory for years, come here. And expect to.move slowly and stay for 3-4 hours. This is by no means an in and out joint and you will LOVE IT! Next time to Venice this will be our first stop as to slow us down for the rest of our vacation.

The service was so terrible, that after half an hour, in an empty restaurant, with five waiters who didn’t know a clue about service, food or wine they were serving, and still hadn’t managed to even get water on the table, we left the restaurant and will never come back or recommend it to anyone. Please stay away from this terrible restaurant.

Yelp
I can not say enough good things about Met! I sat outside and did the tasting menu. The foie gras cannoli is probably the best thing I have ever tasted in my life! The staff were so great and made the experience that much better. I preferred not to do the wine pairing but instead asked the staff for suggestions that worked with both my likes and what also went well with the dishes! They nailed it! I would go back again and again to the Met whenever my travels take me to Venice!

Yelp
We were so disappointed with Met Restaurant. The food was average at best - with the exception of the suckling pig, which was excellent. The service was good until I heard the two female waiters making fun of one of the guests. I don't care if the guest was ridiculous - to be fair she was - you don't make fun of your patrons, especially in front of other guests. I'm not sure how this restaurant has a Michelin Star. I would recommend skipping if you are looking for a high end meal with impeccable service.
