Metaxi Mas

This place deserves more than 5 stars! They made traditional Greek cuisine with a little modern spin, so the foods are elevated to more flavorful levels. Greek salad are good but pretty ordinary and always the same. However, this is the first time I started to appreciate Greek salad. Must order the strawberry salad and the tomato shrimp dish. The house wine are incredible aromatic and cheap. The complimentary strawberry cheese cake are the best cheesecake I’ve ever had! The view at the restaurant is amazing too but really, the foods are the real star of the show!

Worth going out of your way for this place. It was hard to find an authentic Greek experience for a restaurant in the bigger villages so we drove out here for something more authentic. You start off the meal with some kind of version of ouzo, bread, cheese and olives ... All included in the experience. The food is great. Best meal we had on the island for our three day stay. Great service .

We’ve travelled all across Greece for almost 20 years. When the Greek husband pronounces this some of the best Greek food he’s ever had, you take notice! That’s a huge call. A classic example of just how much Santorini has to offer. It’s not all blue church domes & flying dresses 😉

Everything was spectacular. From the presentation of the food down to their complimentary strawberry cheese cake. You won't be disappointed. I ordered a pork steak and it left me wanting more. The pepper added a layer of spice that complemented each bite. If you dont care for peppers they will serve it without, but I love spicy foods.

An amazing find, hidden away in the middle of the garden. The food is excellent and we could have eaten anything off the menu! The service was impeccable and so impressed with the atmosphere. Don’t worry about it not having a sunset view it blows most other restaurants on the island out of the water.

Great food! The weather ordered the salad which was very refreshing and the lamb with yoghurt which was very filling. We sat outside and it had a very nice view of both the church and the city. The added bonus was the cheesecake at the end! One small thing though is that the cats around were constantly asking for food which was a little bit of a nuisance to most of the patrons. Though not any fault of the restaurant that's something to keep in mind as they do jump on the chairs/couch. But definitely the best meals we had on the island!

If you’re looking for great authentic Greek cuisine in Santorini, Metaxi Mas is the perfect destination. The food is absolutely fabulous. Fresh ingredients are brought in daily from Crete. We have been dining here since our first visit to Santorini 10 years ago and is our number one choice for all seven of our return visits. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The view from mountainside restaurant is amazing. The food is extraordinary and the portions are very generous. This past trip we went on our first night after arrival and again on the night of our departure. We will definitely be back next September.

It's a lovely place to spend an afternoon. The food is good and the portions are enormous. There is a friendlier and more laid back vibe to this place that seems to be missing from other places in Satorini.
