I am surprised this hotel has as high of a review as it does. I stayed here for one night, and even that was too much. Cleanliness needs to be improved. My bathroom floor was sticky and the carpeting in my room seemed as if it needed a thorough vacuuming. Other than that, I can’t find much fault with the cleanliness. I just wore flip flops in the room and dealt with it. The real problem with this hotel is that it seems to be full of locals seeking temporary or transient housing. As I was checking in, there was what appeared to be an unhoused woman with a very unkempt appearance checking into the hotel wearing clothes that looked like they hadn’t been washed in weeks. She was barefoot, which is very unhygienic and poses a potential health risk. Other hotel guests coming and going seemed inebriated or high as a kite. I commented to the hotel reception about this and they didn’t want to answer, knowing full well that there is a clear problem. If my rate had been refundable, I would have left and found another option. In my opinion, this is not a suitable hotel for tourists.

Do NOT stay at this hotel, pay the extra 30 bucks or so to stay at a better place. We were legitimately scared for our safety & were offered no compensation or anything. To start off, the hotel barely appears to be in working order and felt like living through an American Horror Story season. One of the lifts is out of order (and looking at previous reviews, has been so for well over a year) and the other feels like it’s barely holding on by a thread. The parking lot is incredibly tiny offering spaces for about 19 cars when the hotel has many more occupants than that, it’s also very cramped and difficult to navigate. When we checked out, there was a car blocking us from leaving. The swipe card to the parking lot was also broken and there was a buzzer to be let in, but the staff clearly didn’t care about this and we along with the other patrons had to go inside or call to be let in to the parking lot. Why have the buzzer there if you don’t intend on using it? We returned to the hotel past closing hours and the keycard swipe to be let in was also broken. We assumed we’d have to be buzzed in but the door just opened for us automatically, which is very dangerous letting random people into the hotel overnight. For the worst and most dangerous part, we had a crackhead in the room next to us and were woken up at 5am to him screaming. He had his head out the window (which, by the way, open all the way and don’t lock) and was yelling and shooting snot rockets down at people on the street. He then proceeded to wander the halls of the hotel yelling, crying, rambling and banging on things and passed our room several times. When we called downstairs, they said the police was on their way. The man was supposedly arrested but we were woken again at 9am to him back on our hotel floor causing the same ruckus. We did not get any sleep and were terrified for our safety. How was this man who was literally escorted off the premises by police allowed back into the hotel at all? The staff were extremely uncaring and offered no support towards us. All of our questions were answered very vaguely and in ways that didn’t make sense, they were very rude. In short, do not stay here or give this hotel your money. The doritos out of the vending machine were fire though. There’s also a fun little surprise of an extra charge of 50 dollars you have to pay upon arrival which we weren’t privy to, and we’re unsure if we’ll be getting that back because the staff were so awful at explaining things. When we asked the front desk while checking out if we could get any compensation or file a complaint against the hotel for not taking proper precautions to protect the guests, she just shrugged and said no.

Great location close to CBD in Perth, free transport bus stop close to hotel. Good value for money. Rooms always neat and clean and hotel has guest laundry facilities. Hotel also has good hot water in the showers.||Noise level varies, stayed there twice, second time was when there were concerts in town, so lots of concert goers returning to hotel after 10pm making noise, but otherwise great place to stay.

I stayed at Metro City Hotel Perth for three nights and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent , very close to the Perth CBD, with bus stops just a short walk away, which made getting around the city really convenient. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and housekeeping maintained the room well during my stay. For the price I paid, the hotel offered excellent value for money. The staff were also friendly and helpful whenever I needed assistance.

Well what a poor decision of hotel to stay in! Our room was outdated and felt like we were living in the 70’s! And it was dusty! Our room had dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They were all empty on our arrival, and after 2 requests ( the next morning) to have this resolved it was never done! On the third day they completely missed making up our room. And after notifying them of this they didn’t care or want to fix this! Then there is both car park gates. The swipe system is out of order so they have placed bells at both gates that you press to alert staff to open the gates. Not once did staff reply to this or open the gates accordingly. We had to phone them every time to open them. And what’s more amusing is that they even have their own phone number incorrect on the exit document attached to the wall of the upper car park! The stairwells smell like urine and revolting. And yes, the second elevator is still out of order! For the price of the rooms here everyone should have minimum standards, this hotel is well below what is expected at this price point. Look elsewhere or at least do your own due diligence!

It's on Hay Street, 25 mins walk to shopping district, some food eateries nearby, BWS is just up the road, 2 streets from Langley Park, good location for a room near the city centre. Room needs to improve amenities, seeming antiquated hot water heater, but generous amount of shaving cream provided. Rooms are clean, don't bother with their continental breakfast offering!

I managed to book the king standard room for AUD$369 for two nights 😝 Upon checking in, I was doubt the room would be “okay” because the hallway on the way to room looked narrow, a bit dark, and creepy. However, when I saw the room, I was happy because it was spacious. The room looked quite old, but every furniture seems new. Even though one bed light didn’t work well (sometimes on sometimes off), the room was still very bright. The bathroom was very cleaaan which made me even happier 😙it has everything u need for bath: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion, even shaving cream 🤩Unfortunatelly, the hair dryer didn’t work. That’s the only minus from the bathroom. Also, the room has coffee machine (too bad I’m not a coffee lover) and even the fridge which I didn’t expect. Overall, although the room is the lowest level, I’m super happy with it. Will I come back? Yess
