The bistec was very tender and flavorful. The gallinita was likewise excellent. The flan and tres leches were the perfect treats at the end of the meal.

Outstanding experience at Metropol Restaurant in the San Juan Mall! Wilmarie welcomed us with warmth and made the service feel personal and genuine. The food was amazing—from the crispy ham croquettes to the hearty chicken stew and perfectly layered pastelón de amarillos. The yuca encebollada, pana plantains, and flavorful beans were the perfect touch. Perfectly arranged at the plate with authentic Puerto Rican flavors at their best!

This place was very good. The prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. I got the Cornish hen and it was so good. The drinks were also priced very reasonably. We also got rice and beans and ceviche and everything was amazing. There is free parking in the mall garage. Would love to come back here!

Always a good choice. The food is consistently good. We enjoyed the live music even though it made it hard to talk. The quest fritz came out hot and tasty. The baicalitos were not so good this trip. Our main courses were good.

Let's start with the beginning....I asked for croquetas de Manchego....3 tries later I still got mixed croquettes. Bacalao and Manchego good thing I am not allergic to fish!!! As for the rest of the food it was as good as chain restaurant food is.....the red beans smell like pure Adobo goya. The Lomo was nice and tender good thing I like my meat medium because I was not asked what term I wanted the meat. The pana tostones were old and hard no flavor at all. The bechamel sauce in my sister's chicken was tasteles....over all not a great experience. Now the service was pretty decent.

Got here from the airport and the restaurant was closed. They opened 10 minutes early as a crowd was forming outside. The bacalaitos were delicious! I also ordered the fish tacos and a burger for my son. The taco was ok. There was too much cabbage to make the taco look heartier. Overall, meh, it was ok because we were hungry. The waiter was good, except when he came out of the back chewing while checking on us.

We wanted to have a meal and visit a mall for some "indoor time" so we decided on the Mall of San Juan mostly due to the ratings at Metropol. It was worth it! We are a non-hispanic family of 4. One vegan, one flex/veg, a teen who is curious about different foods but mostly eats peanut butter, and a fussy teen who wanted tacos but doesn't eat fish. So we're challenging 😅 We had a wonderful server who made us feel very welcome, even though we were seemingly the only non-spanish-speaking people in the place. Plantain chips for appetizer - great start Mushrooms tartare was amazing - our vegan was very pleased, as were the rest of us who tried it. Mofongo two ways, with seafood and chicken handled two more of us. As Dora the Explorer taught me, "yum yum yum, Delicioso!" Now the fussy teen, too big for the kids menu, too picky for the standard menu. She asked for a modified version of one of their standard plates and they accommodated her...not just accommodate...above and beyond!! The chef was proud to make a custom order today, it seemed, and it was wonderful. They added some roasted plantains on the side and she even ate that. It was very nice to see my fussy eater enjoying her meal. Thank you to the team, all around. Wonderful hosts, wonderful service, wonderful food. I wish we could bring this all home with us.
