Fantastic hotel very centrally situated for old town , airport bus, tram and train. It was my husband's birthdays and without asking a cake and singing of happy birthday appeared at breakfast. Room , on 5th floor, was large, clean, quiet and well furnished. Only gripe was TV was on wrong wall so, in bed, you were watching at a 180 degree angle!!! Very good value for money. Super, friendly staff. Totally recommend it.

I loved this hotel and had a very memorable stay. The room was beautiful (looked also recently remodeled) and absolutely spotless, just like the rest of the hotel. The only thing - our room felt somewhat cold in the beginning of May, but I am very thankful to the security guy who was very proactive and brought us a radiator which made all the difference. Overall, I am very pleased with the service here, especially with the response to any request. It was lightning-fast. We made a couple of calls asking for things like an iron and some bathroom items, and every time they were brought up so quickly. I would barely hang up the phone before someone was already knocking on the door. Incredible service! And a special thank you to Giulia, she helped so much and is just a wonderful person who knows how to help frustrated guests!

For the price paid this hotel is quite simply astoundingly good value. The reception area is very lush and the staff welcoming. Nice large room with super comfortable bed and facilities. Breakfast was one of the best choices I have ever seen in a hotel and I’ve lost count how many hotels I’ve stayed in over 30 years of biz travel. Everything you can imagine including local fish, kefir, fruit smoothies and even mimosa (pity I was working lol) . Highly recommend.

Great hotel, well finished with a lovely bar area. Breakfast was great with good choice and staff were friendly. The room was large with a separate dressing room and high ceilings. The bathroom was also great with a big headed shower. Our room faced the street which meant that the trams were a bit noisy. The hotel did supply free ear plugs but the noise didn't bother me. Great location on the edge of the old town and close to the market.

Currently staying here. Food in restaurant is okay, but go out and eat, much better. Avoid room 411, as it leaks water from the ceiling. Did inform the staff, but as expected, nothing happened, just like any other 1 or 2 star hotels.. Thank god at least the elevator is working.

We selected this hotel because of the good reviews and it's great location, right on the edge of the old town. and close by multiple tram. bus and train stops.||It is an old establishment, tastefully renovated, very clean and comfortable. Brekfasts are great if you like cereals, smoked fish, cold meats and pastries. The trad full hot breakfast was not so good, cold beans, only chicken sausages etc so I mainly stuck to the excellent alternatives. Evening meals are available but we ate out instead.||Our room (205) was a little small and overlooked some large pipework. We asked to move but were told this might be possible, then it wasn't but that's a minor gripe as we spent little time in the room. Shower room was spacious , clean and efficient.||Overall we both thought this was a great hotel to explore Riga.

We arrived in Riga to find that Agoda had lost our booking. Again. Luckily, the Metropole had the fantastic Giulia working at reception. She was incredibly helpful and patient while Agoda failed to fix our issue and was able to help us get checked in. Rooms are a bit old-fashioned, but they had a very comfy bed, TV, well stocked mini bar, and a well played out bathroom. There is a tram line out front, so get a little street noise, but overall, a very pleasant stay

Hotel Metropole offers a prime location right on the boulevard ring, perfectly positioned between Riga's charming Old Town and the city center. It’s within walking distance of several key tourist attractions and easily accessible from the airport via bus number 22. I stayed for three nights at a very reasonable rate. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Just a heads-up—the minibar is quite expensive, so keep that in mind if you're tempted for a snack or drink. Overall, a solid choice for anyone visiting Riga.
