METROPOLE by Semarah hotels

The hotel Metropole by Semarah exceeded our expectations with the location, the room and the breakfast. The place is safe, convenient, close to the railway and bus station, from where the Lux Express transfer takes you to the airport. Very close, the Old Town, the Riga Opera House, where wonderful festive concerts are held during the Christmas-New Year period. The hotel is by the street, but good soundproofing allowed us to sleep well. Fresh air and microclimate inside. Wonderful breakfast, fresh, high-quality food, there is even the possibility of prosecco. Beautiful design, coziness in the rooms, everything is very comfortable, well thought out, there is a minibar, a teapot. Wonderful decorations during the festive period. We really want to come back, and we will do it.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at this hotel. The location is perfect 10 minute flat walk into the centre of the city.||Our room was clean modern comfortable and warm, maid service daily. Decent shower, water temperature and pressure. Breakfast is plentiful and the dining room / bar area again is very tastefully decorated. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Yes we could hear the tram passing by from the room but it's not that loud and we both slept fine.||I would definitely recommend this hotel.||From the airport get the number 2 bus from the front of the building €1.5 for 90 mins travel, get off at autoosta stop (all stops are announced on the bus) outside the stockman dept store (Debenhams) and the hotel is on then opposite side of the road.

Stayed four nights for the Christmas market (which was a little disappointing as it was so small) and had a great stay. We were upgraded to a junior suite on arrival, which was a lovely surprise. We loved the room, just like a small apartment, and the massive, comfortable bed. Also the shower was good too. The staff were all lovely & helpful and sang Happy Birthday to me at breakfast and brought a lovely piece of cake with a candle. Very impressed with this as I am usually away at markets for my birthday and this has never happened before!! Riga is lovely and everywhere easily accessible from the hotel. And yes, you do get used to the trams rumbling by, it's part of the charm of the hotel and the city.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Metropole Hotel, and it was an exceptional experience. The highlight of my stay was the incredibly comfortable bed.I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to explore the city.The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to popular attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. Whether you're there for business or leisure, the convenience of being in such a central spot is unbeatable.The breakfast buffet was also great.The staff were also attentive and helpful, making sure all my needs were met. Overall, I highly recommend the Metropole for anyone looking for a blend of comfort and prime location.

Great hotel, ideally situated to see the sights. Rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was plentiful and the staff were helpful. We couldn’t fault a thing and will return for sure.|Take the 22 bus from the airport, it stops opposite the hotel and only 10 euros return plus unlimited city travel for 5 days

We stayed in this hotel in Riga a week during our Baltic trip. Everything was great : location near old Riga and Opera house; room, which was located in mansard ( on the top under the roof) and its interior design in retro style with its own bar counter; service, when room was cleaned even without reminder; excellent choice of food for breakfast; very knowledgeable and helpful reception service ( especially thanks a lot to Altona), but small thing such as 40 cents can make a little damage to big and great image, when you paid almost 2,5 thousands dollars in advance. Evening before our leave we asked reception to book for us dinner in restaurant near hotel and were advised to ca lol there by ourselves. Next morning when we checked out, receptionist asked us to pay 40cents because of local phone call to restaurant. It is not issue of money (40 cents are peanuts compare to price which we paid ) but this request actually crashed all excellency of great hotel service.

Very good hotel in the very center of Riga. Historical building. Interesting design of the rooms. We were accommodated in the room earlier than the time indicated in the voucher. We encountered a small problem - the TV in our room worked, but did not show TV channels. The problem was immediately resolved by the hotel staff, we were given a new room. My wife and I will be happy to stay in this hotel when we come to Latvia again.

really nice room. Lovely comfortable bed . Very helpful reception staff.|Great value.|The breakfast had a huge choice but the only negative was that the scrambled egg and beans were always cold and this would be unacceptable even in a 2 star guest house.|But overall we had a positive experience of this hotel which is also in a great location.
