Quiet getaway from the busy city life. Didn't stay too long but would love to come back when it's cooler, perhaps when it opens at 7am. Nice easy trails and we saw some local creatures.

Such a beautiful view of the city! The whole hike was ~2 hrs with some breaks to enjoy the view. It is steep at some parts. I was able to spot 2 sloths and many other animals.

This park is AMAZING! I walked all the trails (3+ miles worth) and felt like I was in the jungle. I hoped to see monkeys and sloths but I wasn't so lucky! Some of the trails may seem steep, but if you keep going to the lookout spot, you will be rewarded with spectacular views!!!

Pretty easy hike, but great views over the city and Panama bay. They keep the tails clean which was nice. I saw a couple baby deer, spiders, and a few birds. I didn't see as much wild life as I'd hoped, but still definitely worth it.

What a hidden gem! Special nature trails in the city with spectacular views of the city. There are basically two loop trails, they are both moderate 2k treks but pretty vertical. You will need good shoes, water, and bug spray. We are 64, in fair shape, and did both trails- we sweated a lot and had to stop and rest a lot. The trails are well maintained and lots of benches for resting. Both trails are similar in distance and height but we got better views and saw more wildlife on Mono Titi trail. Tip: Mono Titi is a loop trail with the return being a maintenance road. The road side is more direct and straight compared to the trail.

Tons of wildlife! Nice views..... trail is well kept. Easy to navigate. Good bang for your buck of your looking for a quick short jaunt through the jungle.

Metropolitan Natural Park was an absolute highlight of our trip to Panama City—easily ranking among our top three favorite experiences! From start to finish, everything about this park was exceptional. The guides were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and friendly - they were happy to answer questions and share their knowledge about the park’s flora and fauna. The facilities, including the bathrooms, were clean and well-maintained. The trails were well-marked and categorized by difficulty (easy, medium, or hard) and we were impressed with how well-maintained the pathways were, with clear markers, visible pathways, and thoughtful touches like benches and covered rest stops for those needing a break. The wildlife and scenery were incredible! Along the trails, we saw howler monkeys, turtles, parrots, agoutis, leaf-cutter ants, stunning butterflies, and a variety of vibrant plants. The viewpoints along the way and at the top were breathtaking, offering panoramic views that made the hike well worth the effort. Getting to the park was easy and affordable—just a 15-minute Uber ride from our hotel in Casco Viejo, costing no more than $7. We started our morning with breakfast at El Trapiche, which was a great way to fuel up before hitting the trails. While we spent all morning exploring, we easily could have spent the entire day here. We wholeheartedly recommend Metropolitan Natural Park to anyone visiting Panama City. It’s a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and relaxation that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired. Don’t miss it!

This is a fantastic experience inside Panama. The exuberant jungle, the different nuances of green, made me feel so in touch with nature. I will come back!
