Exceptionally clean, quiet, and beautiful! Located right in the main square. Rooms are sound proof, we stayed in room 33 which was right off the breakfast room and the reception area and we didn't hear any noise at all from the breakfast crowd. Highly recommend this hotel! You can pull your car up, unload luggage and then go park in the reserved lot. (Forewarning the person doing the parking of the car would need to be in relatively fit condition as the walk from the parking back to the hotel is a strenuous climb back up to the hill into town).

We found this wonderful hotel (almost more like a B&B) in Rick Steves' Italy guidebook. We booked two suites, n.31 and n.33. Both are amazing with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The owners are so friendly. We were personally escorted and given tours of our rooms and their features. Each room is unique. The lobby area is adorably decorated with hedgehogs (which is what Il Riccio means).

Located just a 10 metre walk from grand piaza, this hotel is central to all of the town. The rooms have a nice view overthe country side. The rooms are clean and quiet. Although the hotel is ols,and of course has steps , they have an elevator. A minor complaint would be that the breakfast was not great . Lots of cakes and pastries, but limited fruits ,cereals and breads

The Mueble is lovely. We had Room 31, the only suite available for our 6 night stay. But we had absolutely no complaints about the room. It was a spacious, well furnished room with our own private terrace with a window over looking the country side surrounding Montepulciano. One of the nicest rooms we've ever had in Europe and at 200 euros a night a very good value.

Fabulous stay! Room was spotless, the view from our bedroom was unbelievable. Palazzo has a great elevator. If driving be sure to alert the hotel as they have reserved parking spots in one of the designated parking areas. Signora Ivana was just lovely! Grazie tante Signora Ivana per tutto!! Complementi! If we could give more than five stars, we absolutely would. Staying at Meublè Il Riccio was one of the most heartfelt and memorable experiences of our trip. From the moment we arrived—well past midnight due to unexpected car trouble—we were greeted with warmth and understanding by the owners, Gio and Ivana, who stayed up until 1 a.m. just to welcome us. That alone speaks volumes about the kind of people they are.||Gio and Ivana are the most down-to-earth, genuine, and gracious hosts you could ever hope to meet. They never make you feel like a burden or judged in any way—just two kind souls who truly care about the people who walk through their door. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, cared for, and at home.||The accommodations themselves are top-notch: beautifully maintained rooms with windows that open up to stunning views of the mountains and valley. The rooftop terrace offers a panoramic view that will take your breath away, perfect for a quiet morning coffee or an evening glass of wine as the sun sets over Montepulciano.||And the location? Absolutely unbeatable—just steps from the main square, yet peaceful and serene, giving you the best of both convenience and charm.||We left Meublè Il Riccio with full hearts and sincere hope that our travels will bring us back to see Gio and Ivana again someday soon. Thank you for everything—you made our trip unforgettable

This hotel is truly a hidden gem in Tuscany. Located at the top of Montepluciano it is extremely well maintained and beautifully appointed. The owners and staff are welcoming and helpful. The views from the hotel are unbeatable. Could not have asked for a better stay, only that it was longer! I'll stay here every time I visit Tuscany!

@ Kat: Unbelievable stay atop the hilltop. We had hesitations re luggage given the steepness and location but the hotel advanced us the ZTL permit. This allowed us to drive to the piazza for us to deposit our luggage at the accommodation. We had time to take photos of the piazza square with our siren red vehicle as backdrop. We had the accommodation with the large terrace. The other rooms were smaller but had a fuller view.
